"This is a beautiful house high in the mountains 24 minutes from Carmel Valley. The beds are very comfortable. The bathrooms are clean, large and up to date. The kitchen has everything that you need. The huge porch is overlooking the Carmel river so you can hear the water as it travels past the house. The hot tub is an added bonus. We did not want to leave the moment we arrived. Thank you, Daniel."

"This is great location and not at all far from Carmel-by-the-sea. The shops, wine tasting, and restaurants were enjoyable. The view from the VRBO is impressive!!! The winding valley drives up the mountain was scenic. Affordable valley golf courses and wineries are also close by. The house was clean and the hot tub was great overlooking the valley. Morning coffee and evening wine on the deck was enjoyable during our stay in March. The location is so quiet and isolated other than the morning farm...

"This is a gem. Having stayed in a fair amount of mountain homes, this one is exceptional. Views to die for, rooms situated to provide the greatest effect, tastefully appointed, and remote. Private. Such a cool place — we loved it! Thank you!"

"This is the second time I’ve stayed here, and loved it all over again. This is a great choice for travelers who are out all day/evening, and those who like to stay put. The drive to the house is beautiful, the bed is extra comfy, and the view is unbeatable - especially the stars from the hot tub! Safe, quiet neighborhood too! "

"This cottage was beautifully decorated, extremely comfortable and tucked away in a private, quiet setting in the valley but close enough to all the activities. The hosts were extremely attentive and just good people. We loved everything about it and would highly recommend. "

"We thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful property. It was very well appointed—especially for cooking. The natural surroundings were very peaceful with hiking trails right out the side gate. We did not realize the travel time to Carmel-by-the-Sea, but it was still doable. And for our five adults and family dog, it was the perfect size. "

"We were a group of 10 friends staying here for a weekend and it was so incredibly lovely. The house is beautiful, huge and well-stocked. It has everything you need! "Everything was great about the property but you don’t want to arrive (or leave) at night in the dark. Very dangerous roads leading up the mountain. Beautiful views and great house. Would stay there again. "

"The house is adorable. Check in was smooth. The layout and spaciousness was as described. There was a little bit of a bug issue. Especially a full ant infestation in the upstairs bathroom."

"We had a girls' getaway at The Lodge. It was the perfect setting for relaxing and catching up with a glass of wine by the river. The house was very comfortable and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The scenery was beautiful and there was tons of out space for enjoying the view of the river which is right at the back door. The host was available for any questions that came up and even sent some great suggestions for local spots to visit during our stay. We are definitely...
