"The hotel itself is excellent - great location and architecture. The cool atmosphere and aircon were welcoming on the hottest June day ever recorded in Cardiff! The facilities were great - including bedroom, bar and pool / spa. A couple of disappointments though. Guaranteed check-in from 3p.m. We arrived at 2.15 so went to the bar to wait. By 3.30 still no room, so after a lot of to-ing and fro-ing they eventually found us an upgrade. The breakfast - distinctly average for the price and...

"Room was overpriced for a concert, £400 per night when £220 normally. I’d expect an uplift but not this much. Room was worn, fan and windows dusty and unclean. Other room had no hot water in shower so unable to use. Noisy and limited sleep although bed comfortable No bar as closed. WiFi non existent and no 5G signal so if you want a quiet night and no shower then ideal place. Breakfast mediocre"

He went above and beyond and we were very grateful as it was our first visit to Cardiff. We had a deluxe room which was very comfortable, executive lounge was an added bonus. "I booked in for one night to go to a local event. The room was clean enough for an overnight stay. The staff left a fan in the room which was handy with how warm the night time was. Parking was on the road outside which was safe enough."
