Sea Cottage - House - spectacular sea views

Sea Cottage (House) is a luxurious self catering holiday home on the mountain slope above Fish Hoek beach sleeping four in two bedrooms. The beach and sea views are spectacular with mountains in the background.

Sea Cottage is a fully renovated historical thatched house with thick stone walls and Oregon Pine floors.

The patio is enormous and is ideal for entertaining friends while enjoying the views.

It has a modern kitchen with new appliances including washing machine and dish washer.

The house is accessed from Hillside Road above, but there is also a private staircase down to the Simonstown Main Road below, for easy walking access to the beach.

The house is ideal for a seaside holiday and is within easy walking distance of the beach, shops, restaurants and transport systems.

There is excellent, safe swimming at Fish Hoek beach, plenty of options for walking and hikers may explore the Elsiespeak mountain above the house.

Others may prefer to relax on the patio, watching the activities on the beach and in the sea below. Whales are regular visitors to the bay, and there are usually plenty of sailing boats, kayaks and fishing boats about.

During summer months the local "trek" fishermen may be seen catching yellowtail in their nets from the beach.

Lovely old cottage with full sun and views

An extremely well equipped cottage two houses down from the road and garage. The funicular made it easy to get groceries and luggage back and forth. Lots of seating and comfortable beds. We felt very safe there. Highly recommended.

Magnificant view and cosy spacious cottage. Garage is a very nice feature. Slightly difficult when carrying big suitecases . The small elevator -system is not really helpfull, because doors open to inside

A perfect view

This house is suited perfectly for an amazing view. It was clean and comfortable. The hosts were kind and welcoming. The town of Fish Hoek is an easy walk and the beach is so perfectly close for walks. We walked to the neighboring town also several times.

Wunderbarer Aufenthalt

Wir haben 2 wunderschöne Wochen verlebt und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Blick von der Terrasse zum Meer ist wunderschön und war beim Frühstück ein perfekter Start in den Tag. Auch der Strand ist sehr schön. Am Abend Ist das Restaurant The Galley, direkt am Strand, sehr zu empfehlen. Ansonsten gibt es in der Umgebung viel zu erkunden und auch Kapstadt ist ja nicht weit. Wer es etwas ruhiger mag, dem dürfte der Nachbarort Kalk Bay gefallen. Alles in allem sehr erholsam.

What a view and beach!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sea Cottage; the place is very roomy and the view and beach are great. The town itself can't compete with the stores or restaurants of Kalk Bay or Simon's Town, but they are closeby. We had a rental car during our stay, which made visiting the nearby towns and Table Mountain National Park convenient.

A great place to explore Capetown from.

The week stay at this cottage was not without its drawbacks. it was well equipped and the view Fabulous. Anyone with mobility problems would find this property a challenge. Loadshedding was another frustrating experience. Mark and Sarah were attentive hosts.

Toller Aufenthalt am Meer

Wir haben 5 Nächte im Sea Cottage übernachtet. Es ist eine tolle Unterkunft mit 2 Schlafzimmern, 2 Duschbädern, einem Wohnzimmer und einer tollen Terrasse mit Meerblick. Zu Fuß ist man in 3-4 Minuten am Strand, in der Stadt gibt es einige Einkaufsläden und Cafés und auch zu den Nachbarorten ist es nicht weit. Perfekt, um die südliche Kap-Halbinsel zu erkunden und überall maximal 30-40 Minuten mit dem Auto zu benötigen.

Absolutely wonderful!

We absolutely loved this place and would go back in a heartbeat! The check in process does have quite a few steps, and then there quite a few literal steps to get to the house, but once you are there it is so beautiful and comfortable! Had all of the amenities we could ask for.

Fantastisk utsikt från den stora terassen där man kan sitta både morgon, middag och kväll. Välutrustat kök. Trevlig möblering inomhus med soffor och bord, 2 matbord med stolar. 2 stora sovrum med sköna sängar och badrum till varje sovrum. Allt fanns vad man kan behöva. Trevligt och hjälpsamt värdpar.

Haus mit Meerblick

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Weg zum Strand ist kurz und der Morgenspaziergang am feinen Sandstrand war immer schön. Ein großes Erlebnis war das Einholen der Netze am Strand.
