  • La mejor casa de vacaciones! Lo tenemos desde hace 17 años y, aunque nuestras vidas han cambiado con la incorporación de niños pequeños a nuestra familia, nuestras vacaciones han mejorado cada año. ¡La casa es muy grande con aproximadamente 250 M2 de espacio interno y un balcón o patio diferente para cada día de la semana! ¡Es perfecto para entretener o simplemente relajarse!
    En la planta baja hay dos salones, uno con la televisión y el DVD, y el otro alrededor de una chimenea con el comedor detrás. La cocina está totalmente equipada y también tiene una barra de desayuno.
    El dormitorio principal es enorme con un suntuoso baño en suite, hay otros dos dormitorios en suite y luego dos baños compartidos para la tercera habitación doble y con dos camas.
    Afuera, la piscina de diez metros tiene un borde de césped en la palanca inferior con el nivel superior más grande y más grande como patio para barbacoas, comer al aire libre o simplemente disfrutar de las hermosas puestas de sol.
    Además de un garaje doble automático y ADT de seguridad total en todo.
    Las nuevas restricciones de agua para Camps Bay y toda la ciudad significan que pedimos a todos los huéspedes que cumplan con las normas vigentes en el momento de sus vacaciones. Todos tenemos que hacer su parte en este momento difícil hasta que se pueda encontrar una solución a largo plazo, pero hasta ahora hemos descubierto que los huéspedes han podido disfrutar de sus vacaciones y comprender el problema y disfrutar tratando de ayudar.

    Dormitorio no 5: ahora podemos ofrecer la casa como una casa de cinco dormitorios con capacidad para 12 adultos o niños, además del uso adicional de una cuna de viaje. Lo bueno de esto es que la casa es lo suficientemente grande como para acomodar este número gracias a sus enormes salas de estar tanto dentro como fuera de la casa. Sin embargo, los precios que anunciamos no incluyen el uso de la quinta habitación porque sabemos que el número promedio de invitados es de entre 4 y 8 personas, por lo que asumir grupos de 12 sería demasiado costoso para grupos más pequeños. Entonces, si necesita una casa grande para familiares o amigos, ¡definitivamente es para usted!
    Para explicar completamente, el 'nuevo' quinto dormitorio solía ser el cuarto de servicio, al que solo se accede desde el patio trasero, pero ahora tiene acceso directo desde la sala de desayunos. Entonces, aunque tiene su propio cuarto de baño privado (el quinto baño de la casa), sería la única habitación sin vistas directas al mar o la montaña. Pero sigue siendo una habitación doble decente, así que no se desanime de usarla.

    Por último, seguridad. Es una pregunta que a menudo nos hacen, pero tenemos la suerte de beneficiarnos de estas características en la casa:

    1) Sistema de alarma con respuesta armada ADT
    2) Respuesta de vigilancia vecinal
    3) CCTV - solo exterior
    4) Cerca electrica en pared frontal
    5) Sistema de intercomunicación LCD
    6) Cerraduras de alta seguridad en las puertas de entrada y salida principal.

Lovely cosy house to enjoy with friends

Central location

We travelled as a group of 7. The location was very central and the Uber rides were cheap to get anywhere. The property manager was friendly and knowledgeable. We had no power for one day. But when we discussed it with Philly, the issue was remedied. Overall a nice spacious property.

Amazing!

This place has everything you'd want from a Camps Bay house- lovely (very big!) house with great rooms, excellent views from multiple balconies and terraces, a lovely pool and it's only about 5 minutes walk away from the main strip in Camps Bay. We had a group of 11 with little kids and teenagers and everyone loved the house, with ample space for us all to spread out without getting into each other's hair. They also have a solution for the issue of load-shedding, which means that apart from not being able to use the electric cooker, the house (and wifi) were able to keep going through the electricity cuts. All in all this was an excellent place to stay and I'll definitely be back!

Outstanding!

Just finished our week’s holiday at Ocean Sweep. It is a fabulous family home with everything we needed to enjoy a relaxing multi-generational family trip. The house is really spacious and well appointed with wonderful views over the bay. There are lots of lovely sitting areas and a great pool so everyone can find the space to relax or be together as the mood takes them. If you want to eat in, it has everything you need but if you prefer to dine out it’s only a short walk down to the buzzing strip of Camps Bay which is full of lively and delicious restaurants. Camps Bay makes an excellent base for visiting Cape Town and the surrounding areas. We were really well looked after by the delightful Philomena who couldn’t have been nicer. Charl was also brilliant and sorted any problems out immediately (of which there were only a couple of small ones like a temperamental safe!). I would recommend this house to anyone and would definitely come again.

A lovely stay in Camps Bay

It’s a really lovely house, pool is great, lovely and warm. Philly is fabulous. The road is located so close to Camps Bay beach but because it’s not on the main drag you wouldn’t know it, it’s really quiet - so super location. The house has all most modern conveniences, and is very secure. A few things that would make a dramatic improvement, is aircon in the bedrooms, it’s just too hot upstairs. Blackout blinds as you do find yourself waking up very early even with eye patches, and the patio doors to the master bedroom when it’s windy and it’s frequently windy, making it hard to sleep, even with ear plugs. Finally the TV sofa probably needs new cushions to sit on! But these are all relative because we had a wonderful time!

A great stay in Camps Bay

We had a great stay at this property in camps bay. The location is great and only a short walk from the bars and restaurants. The house itself is large and we used it to capacity (9 adults, 3 children and an infant!). The rooms vary in size with the downstairs rooms being quite snug and more suitable to single sleepers or children. Some of the furniture was a little worn or broken (fridge drawers) but the house was functional and kitchen well equipped. The communication in the run up and during the stay was fantastic. We asked for a Christmas tree to be put up and an additional cot and these requests were fulfilled without quibble. Philly is lovely, knowledgeable and was always on hand to assist once we checked in. The pool is great and refreshing on a hot SA day. One thing i would say is that there is no air con at this property which can be challenging overnight when the temperatures soar. Fans are provided in some rooms.All in all a great stay and decent value. Thank you.

We stayed here for 13 nights as a multi generational family. Two air conditioning units were installed in the two main bedrooms earlier this year at our request and we were so thankful for that. Unfortunately, two more of the front bedrooms didn’t have air con & were unbearably hot! It was 37 degrees the day we arrived, and the portable fans just didn’t do anything to cool those two rooms. My two year old granddaughter was in one of them, and we couldn’t get the room to cool down below 31 degrees, so we had to bring her into our room for several days - not ideal. My son, his wife & 1 year old were in the other front bedroom without air conditioning, and they found it impossible to get a good nights sleep for many of the nights we were there. They were almost at the point of trying to get a hotel somewhere. We ended up using blankets, taped onto the guttering and railings to make shade sails outside the rooms, on the balcony. I have since spoken with Charl, the house manager, and I’m told that two more air con units will be fitted this month. The house is spacious & has several different outside areas for eating and relaxing, with lovely views. Kitchen is well equipped. The area is very nice & we felt safe & secure at the house. Philly, the house keeper is delightful & very helpful. We used Ubers to get around, which were reliable & reasonably cheap.

Lovely accommodation in Camps Bay and great location for all the major attractions and sightseeing areas. Great family property and very welcoming/accommodating managerial staff. Had a fabulous holiday.

spacious comfortable home with stunning view in a convenient, safe area

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this clean, comfortable house with the bonus of a pool to cool down in at the end of a day of touring lovely Cape Town. Housekeeper Philomina kept everything in order, which made our holiday even more relaxing. Thank you to all!

A modern comfortable house with amazing views

We stayed for 6 nights as a group of seven adults. The house is spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed using the BBQ on the evenings we were at home. The views across the bay are spectacular - particularly so when sitting with a sundowner! A maid was available to come in every day - she came to us alternate days which meant the house was beautifully clean and tidy. At the time of our visit there were strict water regulations. This meant taking two minute showers and collecting as much water as possible in the shower in a bucket for re-use. We drank bottled water which was plentiful, so no real problems. There was a very high wind one night which triggered the alarm about 6am with a prompt and reassuring attendance by the armed response team. It is a ten minute walk downhill to the front and the beach. An Uber is very cheap and easy if you prefer not to walk back up hill! We drove into Cape Town and parked easily in the car park at the V&A Waterfront. Altogether we had a great time and would thoroughly recommend both this house and Camps Bay.

Amazing house, Amazing location, Amazing Cape Town

The house is exactly as described (not always the case when renting properties) and we loved it so much we are already looking to book again for the same period next year. The location is great - a 10 minute stroll down to the beach and the restaurants and bars in Camps Bay but also only a 15 minute drive over the hill and into Cape Town and all the the V&A Waterfront. The house has everything you need and the views are simply breathtaking - Lions Head to the side and Table Mountain and the 12 Apostles behind the house - I could sit there all day and just stare at that view. The house is safe, secure and alarmed - the alarm did go off the very first night as we had left some washing on the line at the back of the house - it was quite windy and this set it off. We immediately received a phone call from the security company and their personnel were ringing the doorbell within 5 minutes to check everything was ok. From booking right through to departure, communication with the owner and Charl the manager was fantastic and we loved having Philomena, the housekeeper, around to help keep the house spotless and tidy and also answer any questions we had. I can't recommend this property enough.

Großartige Villa , fantastische Aussicht, nicht zu toppen alles war perfekt !!

Am liebsten hätten wir den nächsten Urlaub sofort wieder gebucht. Es ist unglaublich viel Platz , der rundum Balkon mit Blick auf den Atlantik einfach fantastisch, die Terrasse und der Pool wundervoll. Die küchenausstattung lässt keine wünsche offen. Wie andere Gäste auch, waren wir mit der Alarmanlage etwas überfordert, aber Charl war sehr verständnisvoll ! Der Weg zum Strand beträgt 5 min. Die Hilfe durch Phillomena haben wir sehr genossen, sie ist ein Schatz.

Perfekt !

Wir waren zu 7 Personen für 1 Woche in der Villa. Diese verfügt über ein Mega großes Schlafzimmer und 3 weitere - zwischen 15 bis 18 m2. Alles sehr sehr sehr sauber. Die Villa hat wirklich alles um einen tollen Urlaub zu genießen. Auch haben wir Philomina für die Woche gebucht. Alles wurde jeden Tag perfekt gesäubert. Die Küche ist vollausgestattet. Sogar an Backpapier und Handschuhe wurde gedacht. Wohn / Esszimmer ein Traum. Zum Zentrum in Camps Bay - 10 Minuten zu Fuß. Wir können diese Villa nur weiter empfehlen !!! Alles war perfekt und sauber

OK house for big family!

Great location and spacious house with nice seimmingpool and sitting area. Unfortunately no AC in the bedrooms. A little bit irritating with the "houselady" we hired that she did not understand during the days how to give us some privacy: she always did her ironing etc in the middle of the family/children looking at TV in the living room/kitchen. She also used the washingmachine in the kitchen for her private laundry.

Underbar semestervecka i Camps Bay

En vecka i högklassigt hus, väl utrustat, rent och fint! Allt i bästa ordning. Gott om plats för alla, sköna sängar. Grilla på den fina terassen, dopp och simning i poolen och fantastiskt utsikt över havet. Nära till fantastisk ren och fin sandstrand men kallt i Atlanten. Imponerande vågor för den gillar det. Flera bra matställen att välja på längs strandpromenaden! Fisk och skaldjur favoritmaten. Nära till Kapstaden och Taffelberget!

Good size and amenities but needs some TLC in quite a few areas

The staff and property manager were on hand when needed which was good as the dishwasher blew up on day 1! Accommodation standard was ok but needs a lick of paint everywhere and new curtains in some of the bedrooms to actually block light out. On the whole a pleasant stay

Speachless...Wow

This place is absolutely amazing. The house/villa is perfectly situated and easy to get to many places around Cape Town. The views are absolutely brilliant from the house. My favourite was watching the sun setting into the open sea right in front of me. Definitely the best way to send your evenings (with a lovely glass of wine in your hand :-) ) The house itself is in very good condition, clean, smart and well cared for. You feel very relaxed there. Patrick (the owner), Charl (999 in your right hand) and the cleaning ladies all are so helpful and supportive and will all go to great lengths to make sure you have a stress free holiday. Have I mentioned the SPACE... it is such a spacious place. It does not show in the pictures but you will be pleasantly surprised on arrival. We hired a car and collected it from the airport, and that was handy coz it gave us the freedom to drive down the coast and visit place like Boulders Bay and Gordon's bay, so that's a good idea. The security is really good as well, you really feel safe. Camps Bay is a lovely place as well as easy to get around. From the villa, its just 10 minutes stroll to the shops and bars (ladies, there is a nail salon, hair salon, massage place just down by the traffic lights in the building on the right). But best of all, the beach is just 10 minutes stroll from the house, how brilliant is that. We went as a big family, 9 adults and 3 children, and we all loved it. The kids absolutely loved the space and the swimming pool and most of all the beach. We would all 100% recommend this house/villa. We will also be returning soon xxx

ocean sweep, camps bay, cape town

We came from Boston to visit our daughter studying at the University this semester. We had never been to Cape Town and were blown away by its beauty. We also have never rented from VRBO, and our experience was perfect! I would highly recommend this house. It was great for the college kids to come over and hang! We barbecued one evening and had a lovely meal out on the patio. From almost every bedroom one can lie in bed and see the beautiful ocean. The breath taking mountains are above us, and we used uber for all of our transportation. The walk down to the village of Camps Bay was easy and we often went to dinner there. Recommend Cod Father for a delicious fish dinner...it is at the bottom of Camps Bay Road to the right. The staff was five star. We welcomed back beautiful Philomena who just arrived from maternity leave. We saw photos of her new baby Chloe, and her 8 year old daughter Natalie. Her cousin, Precious took good care of us in the mean time as we had her over to freshen the house a few times. Charl, the house manager, checked in with us routinely...and was very very receptive when the hair dryer blew! We could not have been given better attention. The kindness and attention to detail from all was exemplary. The pool was chilly but swimmable...the house is set up for a large crowd and very "kid" friendly...with a high chair and crib if needed. There are plenty of bathrooms, and lots of open space along with large tables for dining. The only advice I would give to a large group is that there is a washing machine but no dryer. So plan accordingly as it will take a day for laundry to wash if the sun is not out. We hope to return with our elder daughter some day. We will miss this place as it is a secret jewel. Thank you to Patrick as well for being so receptive about the need for WIFI. It too was seamless...and both my husband and I were able to keep our businesses going from six hours away and two continents. Had that not worked in the manner they had promised, we would have experienced high stress. Sadly we leave today, and again, Charl was incredibly generous about making sure we had no pressure getting out of here. I cannot say enough about how happy , delightful, and comfortable our stay was here in Paradise. Sara Campbell Ken Maloney

Fantastic House in Great Location

We had 8 nights in this wonderful house. Extermely large and spacy with all the comforts you would want. Charl the caretaker couldn't have been more helpful and went out of his way to assist with our stay both before and after our stay. Was always on call for any issues. Philomenia the housemaid was also a great addition to our stay. Both people really made our stay more enjoyable. House is very secure with alarm system so nothing to worry about. About 800 meters walk down to the Camps Bay shopping area/restaurnats. (excellent choices) 8 days - too much to do - will return again another day. TIP - if you are coming to Cape Town/South Africa - bring your old clothes you do not need anymore and give them to the people that you could really help out!!!! They are very grateful for anything you can give.

Great location and superbly equipped

We have stopped in many houses in South Africa and Ocean View was amongst the very best. We were only 5 people so had lots of room and this place would be ideal for groups up to 10. Views of sea and mountains and benefits from good outside sun bathing areas and pool. House well equipped and great for children as quite open plan so not constrained. Charl the local manager very helpful and stand in maid Charity very efficient. Location is excellent and safe for SA and we walked down to the coast road and caught taxi back up. Would definitely return when friends join us in Camps Bay again.

Beautiful family home

The house was everything it promised. We hired it for a family holiday with 3 generations present to celebrate the wedding of our daughter. We had a pre and post wedding bbq for 30 people and there was plenty of space on the deck and inside. The kitchen was well equipped too for a large group. The pool was clean and enjoyed by us all. We employed Philomena to help out with cleaning and tidying up. She was a delightful person and a pleasure to have around. Charl, the manager, was also a charming character and responded to our queries quickly. The property has some steep stairs leading to it which my 86 year-old mum struggled with. We highly recommend this property.

A 5 Star rating for a positive attitude!

I am fortunate enough to be able to spend a lot of time travelling ! At times circumstances, not of one’s fault, make it difficult to keep arrangements as planed and one is obliged to cancel or alter bookings as originally planned! This can cost a lot ! This occurred with a booking I made with Patrick Arnold for his house in Camp’s Bay ! After having transferred the funds to Patrick, the airline changed the flight schedule which made it difficult for me to be in CT on the set day. Patrick accepted my good faith and thanks to his goodwill, he found a solution which avoided a loss of important funds for my group! I wanted to mention this! It’s good to know that you are dealing with a real “ gentleman“! On my next trip I hope to stay in Patrick’s lovely house which is so well situated !
