"Very comfortable and in a great location with views across the water. Very close to the reef ferry terminal and a short stroll to the main drag. Has a slight air of tropical decay, but everything was clean and the service excellent."

"Lovely hotel in the heart of Carines Esplanade. Walking distance to all major attractions (night market, lagoon, reef, rusty's and shopping) and transport (central train station for Kuranda train and buses). Very helpful staff (Ricardo and Manuel especially). Hotel was very clean, rooms were too and well appointed (espresso machine, slippers, robes). Lovely shower and Origins branded bath products (look in the drawer under the sink, it actually pulls out and contains some essentials). Only...

"We had a wonderful couple of days at the Sheraton Mirage. The hotel was excellent and the food terrific. The only thing that would make it even better was if they had an adults only section in Feast Restaurant. At the buffet breakfast there was a lot of children running around tables and in walkways while we were walking back to our spot with plates in one hand and glasses in the other, and nearly loosing the lot. Not the restaurants fault, but slack parenting. Teach your children some...

"Great modern resort on the esplanade in Cairns. Clean and modern rooms with great amenities. Loved the bottle refill station! Resort pool was well presented, clean and very appealing. Great restaurants and bars within the resort, plenty of options."

"We loved this property! It is so close to the ferry terminal so if you’re going to the reef is very convenient to just walk right over there and get on your boat. There are also tons of restaurants, especially Asian varieties for dining options as well as a night market. I would totally stay here again."

"The hotel is just out of town. 15 mins walk and 20 mins walk to the Superyacht marina. It’s a beautiful hotel. We had room 57 which was large and included a kitchen, dining table and lounge area. Large bathroom with tub and large balcony overlooking the pool and lagoon swim up bar. Ideally situated. Happy hour is 4-5pm. There’s lots of little nooks to explore. The main pool and 2 lap pools at the rear of the hotel. We didn’t come across the fitness centre or games room but they’re on the map....
