Rustlers Draw cabin in the pasture

On the vast open ranges of yesteryear, rustling was a serious problem and punishable by hanging. At its peak, one of the largest ranches in the Texas Panhandle had over 150,000 head of cattle and a thousand horses. Obviously, thieves could drive stolen livestock miles away before a rancher learned he had animals missing. Rusticity is the theme at this lovely two-bedroom hideout situated on open prairie with expansive views of Palo Duro Canyon. Informal, yet active in interpretation of the ranch land. Palo Duro Weekend

The cabin was serene. It was in a great location overlooking pasture land and the canyon. We loved the longhorns on the property. It also was convenient to town and other Amarillo area attractions.

Relax & See Stars at Night

Very quiet place to relax! It was a little off the beaten path, but well worth the drive! The view from the back porch is amazing! The cabin was very clean & cozy. The beds are very comfortable. If we needed anything, management was just a text away. Communication was impressive!

Just as Described

The property was super clean and had all the bed and kitchen amenities we needed for our stay. The listing was accurate and the check in was easy. The communication with the owner/management was excellent. We had one blip in our stay but the owner was extremely accommodating and because of this we will definitely put our trust in them and rent with them in the future. The property is truly a beautiful place. We will definitely recommend this place to our friends and family as well.

Gorgeous Get Away

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Chisholm cabin! It was so clean and had everything we needed! The big picture windows looking out over the canyon were marvelous! The hosts were wonderful to work with and so quick to respond to any questions. We would love to go back!!

Canyon getaway

We stayed here on the Canyon rim celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary, and we loved it! The cabin is clean and comfortable, and the property is quiet and beautiful. We will plan another trip soon!

Fantastic cabins!

We booked a last minute break before Christmas. I've been wanting to visit Palo Duro for so long. We loved our time at Doves Rest cabins and would definitely go back. They made everything easy and the cabin was exactly as advertised. Little things made such a difference, like a welcome note and a bottle of wine in the fridge. While we were there they recommended the Palo Duro Stables for horseback riding and organised everything for us. It was fantastic!

Palo Duro Long Weekend

This was an amazing place to stay. First, it exceeded our expectations. The property is in excellent condition. It is a private and quiet property. We enjoyed the Longhorn cattle that paid us a visit. The property is very close to Palo Duro Canyon and is easy to drive too. The entire unit is well stocked in the kitchen and bathrooms. I would recommend this property in Doves Rest to anyone that enjoys a easy going vacation.

Rustler’s Draw

This place was perfect. It was really close to Palo Duro and not far from Canyon. It was roomy and relaxing. It was very clean. Our only issue was in arriving Google Maps sent us to the wrong gate. We phoned and the caretaker met us and took us to the correct gate and cabin. He waited to make sure we got inside.

Beautiful and unique property!

I recommend this property to anyone going to Palo Duro - the house is newer, spotless and beautiful with an incredible view of the canyon. The living room is comfy with nice furniture, but the beds are super comfy! It was so peaceful, and we loved seeing the longhorns and other animals. Wish we could’ve stayed longer.,

Fascinating Beautiful Property

The cabin is beautifully built and very cozy. We wanted a quiet restful place to spend time with retired parents and this was perfect. The views are beautiful and waking up to long horns in the yard was a treat the family enjoyed very much. The canyon is minutes away in a car and enjoyed the convenience. The views at night were also gorgeous. Check in and check out was seamless. Definitely recommend!! 5 Stars!

Great cabin!

Spotlessly clean, well appointed, very nice coffee maker (plus some Kcups), nice to have many spices and other staples stocked in the kitchen. Nice touch - Christmas tree in the living area. Comfortable beds, great view. Close to grocery shopping and restaurants. Very close to the Palo Duro Canyon Park entry. I recommend it highly!

Beautiful cabin

I’ve stayed in a lot of vrbo properties and this cabin is very well done. Very clean, nice furniture, decor and amazing scenery. Huge windows provided amazing views of herds of Texan longhorns and long horn sheep. Truly awesome to see. I recommend this place and would stay again.

Cool place to stay near Palo Duro Canyon State park

Nice house, a bit on the expensive side, but we decided to splurge since it was less than 5 minutes away from the State Park. We also enjoyed seeing the Longhorns come up to the fence around the house, even in the front yard during the evenings! Canyon is close enough by, as is Amarillo (went there one late afternoon and evening). Well maintained property, we really enjoyed our stay. The only thing is the flies! Too many of them around even in the Park.
