Vineyard villa, stay at a traditional cascina on a tranquil hillside

The vineyard villa, a traditional cascina, is located on a quiet hillside with stunning views, only 2 kms from the town of Canelli.
Self contained, it has it's own entrance with automatic gates.The owner's home adjoins and they will be in residence during your stay.

On the ground floor, there is a fully fitted kitchen, a lounge with open fire, dining area and doors to the terrace and a store room for the garden furniture, ironing board and indoor drying facility. Wi-fi internet available.
Upstairs there are 3 double bedrooms(2 with balconies), a playroom/2nd lounge, a bathroom and separate shower room (each has a WC).
Outside you have your own private terrace for relaxing and al fresco dining while enjoying the fabulous view. Also your own pop-up pool for cooling off in the summer, a barbeque and table tennis table.
As a self catering holiday you will find a well equipped kitchen and marvellous fresh ingredients in the local markets and shops to inspire your cooking.


Area Festivals: Throughout the Summer and Autumn there are many festivals and sagri ( specialist food festivals eg salami,peppers,hazelnuts, cherries ) in the surrounding towns and villages. Most involve markets, eating,drinking,dancing and generally making merry for the whole family.
Canelli has a market on Tuesdays and Fridays but every town has one, so it is possible to visit every day of the week.
The fourth weekend in September, Canelli hosts other wine cities of Italy, for the Citta di Vino celebrations, two days of food and wine tasting, and special events.
Every weekend in October, visit the International Alba Truffle festival or sample the world renowned white truffle at many of our local restaurants.

Hill walking: We can offer guided walks in the hills and vineyards around the cascina.

Tourist Attractions: Canelli town centre has 4 World Heritage sites with the antigue cellars of the winemakers, Contratto, Bosca, Gancia and Coppo. The area is also a World Heritage Zone with miles of vine covered hillsides, giving stuning panoramas.
Visit the major cities of Turin,Genoa and Milan, all approx 1.5 hrs drive fron Canelli.

The historic towns of Asti, Acqui Terme, Alba and Alessandria are only 30 minutes away.

Charming Country Stay

Diane and Brian are charming and excellent hosts. The location is great for exploring Piedmont, lots of good dining choices, lovely wine tastings. A perfect Italian get away without the crowds in Tuxcany or Venice.

het was perfect. Leuke gastheren. Heel vriendelijk. je kon alles vragen. zeker een plaats om terug te gaan. Mooie locatie tussen de wijngaarden. goede uitleg van de gastvrouw waar je kan eten wat te bezoeken. grote ruimte om te overnachten prachtig uitzicht over de wijngaarden . alles super ok ++++++

Lovely old villa located in the midst of the grape vines just outside Canelli. Gated (electric) entrance with plenty of parking inside the wall. Beautiful views across the valley with vineyards, hazelnut trees, and a local flock of sheep! Tricky 1.5 km drive up a narrow road with lots of twists and turns to get to the villa, but you get used to it after a day or two! Diane and Brian were excellent hosts and most gracious, very willing to answer all our questions, make recommendations, and help out as needed. A wonderful 2 week stay in the middle of the Piedmont region.

Hosts couldn’t have been kinder or more helpful in every single way. Gorgeous property very quiet every amenity thoughtfully provided with cheer and promptness. Dianne and Brian and Mandy shared restaurant referrals and a true human experience with consideration and happiness. Best VRBO experience EVER !! We hope to visit again in the future. I urge anyone to inking of going to this area to consider this location. It was convenient to many towns for exploration plus the big bonus of being with them. Superb stay

Beautiful Piemonte countryside

This was probably our favorite visit spending a month in Italy! Quiet country beauty only a short distance to Canelli, a small town. A very well appointed, large living space for a comfortable stay for a couple as we were or a family. I will highly recommend this place to friends who want to travel to this gorgeous area.

Dianne and Brian are wonderful hosts - the house is beautifully furnished, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Canelli was a great location to explore the region (including some great restaurants nearby). Would definitely stay again.

Relaxation in a lovely cottage

We had a wonderful relaxing holiday in this beautiful cottage. The house is a fully equipped household with everything you need as a family. The interior is charming and very cleanly, we felt at home at once. Dianne and Brian are great hosts, warm and welcoming, very helpful with advice as needed. It has been a wonderful holiday and we will certainly come back.

Wonderful stay in Cascina Cavolpi

Our family of 4 had a lovely holiday in Piemonte. The house itself is spacious, convenient and tastefully decorated; the views outside are spectacular. Our kids (2 and 6) had the best time. Brian and Dianne are the perfect hosts: very helpful, yet discrete. They will make you feel at home in no time. We made trips to Asti, Alba, and the Langhe/Roero area, but there are some smaller towns nearby that are worth visiting as well. Brian and Dianne will tell you all about them. We highly recommend!

A fabulous place!

We had a wonderful week in this beautiful place. A spacious house with beautifully decorated bedrooms, fully equipped and with a beautiful view. It is also great outside. We were very hospitably received by the friendly owners. The area is also very nice, with plenty of opportunities for nice trips to, for example, Turin, Acqui Terme, Asti and Alba. Highly recommended, especially if you like wine.

Sehr schöner Aufenthalt bei tollen Vermietern

Vielen lieben Dank an Dianne & Brian, wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt bei Euch und Ihr seid wirklich sehr sehr nette Vermieter! ( als Beispiel, welcher Vermieter lädt heut zu Tage noch seine Gäste zu Aperitif und selbstgemachten Snacks ein) Das Haus ist sehr sauber, liebevoll eingerichtet und perfekt ausgestattet, es hat uns wirklich an nichts gefehlt. Die ausschließlich positiven Bewertungen können wir nur bestätigen. Auch unsere kleiner Hund war auch herzlich willkommen. Dianne und Brian, euer Wein schmeckt hervorragend. Explore a less touristy region of Italy

My husband and his sister and I often travel together in Italy. This six-day stay in Piemonte was one of our best trips. Dianne and Brian are outstanding hosts - their house is directly next door but they leave you on your own unless you need them, and then they are incredibly helpful. The property is gorgeous - the gardens, the outdoor seating areas where we had meals, the surrounding vineyards. The house is very comfortable and accommodating, as well. We loved visiting Turin and the nearby towns but always looked forward to coming back in the evening to the hilltop. Look forward to going back. Thank you, Dianne and Brian

In een woord GEWELDIG!

Cascina Cavolpi! Wat een geweldige plek is dit. We werden hartelijk welkom geheten door de charmante Engelse eigenaren. We voelden ons gelijk thuis. Het huis is zeer ruim, de woonkamer is gezellig ingericht, zelfs de open haard ontbreekt niet. WIFI is prima. De keuken is van alle gemakken voorzien en nodigt uit voor een mooi Italiaans diner. De slaapkamers en badkamers zijn zeer ruim en heel schoon. Als je na een dagje uit terug komt in de Cascina is het heerlijk toeven op het terras. Met een glas wijn genieten van het prachtige uitzicht. Er zijn winkels in Canelli, een goede slager en gezellige restaurants. Ook is het de moeite waard om een wijnhuis voor een rondleiding en proeverij te bezoeken. De eigenaren kunnen je er alles over vertellen. Wil je vanuit een prachtige plek met een geweldig huis Piemonte verkennen? Boek dan Cascina Cavolpi!!

We spent a few days in this lovely house, 5 min outside of Canelli with a beautiful view over the piemontesian hills. Rooms are clean and very spacious! Very friendly and helpful hosts!

La Dolce Vita

Cascina Cavolpi is a well-appointed old farm-turned-villa, run by a lovely English couple. Each and every element of the villa is well-considered and thought out, which made us feel at home and at rest from the moment we stepped in. - The kitchen is vast and very well-equipped - The living/dining room (should you be eating inside instead of on the lovely terrace with an amazing view) is also very spacious and well-equipped. A fireplace brings additional coziness and heat should it be chilly. - The bedrooms and bathrooms are spotless and spacious - Wifi works like a charm - The outside space is great as well, kids (I'd say 5+) can roam safely all over the property and discover all kinds of interesting gems - The view is nothing short of amazing. Brings a whole new dimension to doing 'sundowners' - Canelli has plenty of shops and restaurants. Bring a car, though. - The general area is not at all touristy, which we have found to be a huge plus to get an authentic Italian experience. The younger generation tends to speak English quite well. - Cascina Cavolpi is within the Unesco area of Alba, Asti, Barolo, Barbaresco. All of these are great excursions, perhaps featuring a lunch to sample the local fare. Turin and Genoa day trips are very manageable as well. All in all, I can only strongly recommend a stay at Cascina Cavolpi. You won't regret it.

Der perfekte Platz um sich vom turbulenten Alltagsstress zu erholen und zu entschleunigen

Das Haus ist mit ganz viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Es fehlt an nichts. Die Aussicht ist grandios und die Terasse lädt zum verweilen ein. Die Gegend ist zwar hügelig, aber dennoch ist zu Fuß einiges zu erreichen. Dianne und Brian sind tolle und unkompliziertere Gastgeber. Wir haben das gemeinsame Abendessen mit ihnen sehr genossen und können dies nur jedem empfehlen ebenfalls dazu zu buchen. Wir werden wieder kommen!
