Leave your stress at home and say `Hello!` to relaxation at `Whispering Winds`, a newly remodeled hillside cabin designed specifically for nature lovers. This woodland cabin was remodeled at the end of 2021 and sleeps 6 lucky guests. Keep everyone entertained with WiFi, Smart TV and a game table right in the living room. Featuring a covered porch with outdoor furniture, private hot tub, charcoal grill and more, this cabin is the perfect retreat for friends and family!

- Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen with a dual coffee maker, free WiFi, charcoal grill, private hot tub, washer/dryer, Smart TV, expansive covered deck with outdoor furniture, 40amp level 2 EV charger, and more!
- Sleeping Arrangements: Loft: King Bed | Backroom: Full Size Bunk Beds | Living Room: Full Size Sleeper Sofa

- We provide fresh linens and towels. We also provide an Essential Starter Pack to make your stay easier! (Includes 2 rolls of toilet paper, 2 rolls of paper towels, 3 shampoos/3 conditioners, 3 bar soaps, 3 dishwasher pods, 3 laundry pods, 3 trash bags, 1 sponge). Firewood and charcoal not provided. Please purchase firewood locally.
- Dogs permitted with $100 fee per pet. (Dogs only; maximum 2 allowed. Dogs need to be crated if left at the property alone.)

- Please note that a 4-wheel drive is highly recommended. The cabin is located up a steep hill. Limited parking space; vehicles exceeding 2 will need to park at the local park and ride and carpool to the cabin. Trailers Prohibited.
- Outlying Red River Gorge location - Close to hiking, horseback riding, rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, zip lines, sight-seeing, restaurants, and much more
- Larger groups? This cabin is located on a private drive within walking distance of four other cabins; Hillside Loft Cabin, Eclectic Hillside Cabin, Sunrise Cabin and Hidden Chalet.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The property was very clean and comfortable. The hosts were responsive. The driveway was VERY steep and definitely ideal for a higer clearances/4wd vehicle. Overall, we loved our stay and would definitely stay again.

The cabin was a perfect way to spend our week at the gorge. The road up to it is washed out, so I couldn't imagine getting there without a high-clearance 4 wheel drive vehicle.

Location was close to all attractions. Driveway has large potholes and bumps while on incline, small cars would bottom out. Cabin was smaller than I thought in the pictures. Wasn’t the cleanest, cob webs and spiders. The arcade game was fun until my boyfriend found little tiny bugs crawling all over him. Not sure if it was from the corner of the cabin or outside. Water turned off our first full day there. Maintenance came and fixed it while we were out for the day. Wasn’t a bad stay, wouldn’t book again tho.

Quiet getaway yet so disappointed

Absolutely loved this cute lil cabin. Booked it for the romantic hot tub , the sweet swing on the covered porch, great fire pit and for the arcade game which I knew would be a perk for my boyfriend :) Unfortunately we did not enjoy being inside this home. Check in was super easy BTW but as soon as we opened the door, we got blasted by overly powerful scent of dog urine throughout the home. We didn’t want to sit down anywhere not knowing if there was dog pee on the furniture. We actually went into town to find some Febreze to maybe help mask the smell, which it didn’t help. Notified management and they did offer for the cleaning person to come back out but we declined and just tried to make do regardless of the smell. We spent most of our time outdoors till it was time for bed. The smell was such a turn off that I ended up falling asleep with my nose in my shirt. Was very disappointed since this was a bday present stay for my boyfriend. :( If we weren’t subjected to a urine smell, and in some places, (such as by the fridge) smells of something was decomposing, It would’ve been a fabulous amazing place to stay. Like I said everything was perfect about it except for the smell . I’m not sure when the last rental tenant was there, but I think management should come into the property before a new rental tenant comes in to make sure everything is in pristine condition on that day. :)

I used GPS and it did not take us to the cabin! I texted and called several times before getting someone to answer. I had to call and have the code reset to the cabin door. The bedding on the upstairs bed was very nasty with bodily fluids on the sheets and quilt!!! However, the rest of the cabin was clean and nice .

Nice cabin. Comfortable and clean.

Had a great time at the cabin. We hiked trails in the Red River Gorge all day and the hot tub was just what we needed after long days on the trails. The beds were comfortable and it was very quiet. The kitchen was well stocked. The road up to the wasnt the best, but with a 4WD vehicle, it wasnt a problem. The location was close to everything. We would definitely return if we get back to the area.

The stay was great, however if we would not have been in the truck we would not have been able to access the cabin.You may want to alert future guests that the property is not accessible in a regular car due to the condition of the driveway.

Good Stay, a Couple Issues

This year was my second time staying at this cabin. The listing is pretty accurate, and the cabin overall is pretty decent. It’s small but cozy with some nice amenities, and made for a pretty good long weekend stay with friends. I should also reiterate that the driveway is very steep, and it’s got some pretty large potholes. There were a few things that could have been a bit better, though, and I think it would have been better with more attentive maintenance. The biggest issue was the pullout couch. The supports for the bed were bent underneath, so it was stuck and could t be used. It was also very dirty underneath, so I could tell no one had checked it in a while. The small bathroom door was also sticking in the frame much worse than last year. But, again, it was a good stay overall.

Great cabin!

My husband and I stayed here with our two young children for a few days, and everyone loved it. The cabin was well-stocked, the beds were comfortable, and it was nearby to all the activities we had planned. One day was rainy, and there was enough in the cabin to keep all of us entertained all day - between the hot tub, the game table, and the cards/board games in the cabinet. We would stay here again!

Fun family trip!

Overall our experience was fantastic. With any home away from home there are things that could be different. Pros include: the cabin was clean, there were plenty of dishes, utensils, towels, etc. the location was quiet even though there were other cabinets occupied. We never really heard anyone else. The fire pit area was really nice and we enjoyed the time there. Come: the cabin is a lot smaller than what it looks like on the pictures, we thought we were going to be able to sit on the couch and watch a movie but there was only room for two people to sit on the couch and then two chairs with no arms that are surrounded by a table game that takes up a lot of space in the already small living room, the hot tub was clear the first night and then smelled bad and the water was gross the rest of the time, there wasn’t any chlorine or chemicals in the floater ( I think this was just for show), the outdoor cushions were molded so you couldn’t sit on them, and the beds were extremely uncomfortable. One member of our family is 6’3” and had a hard time navigating the smaller bathroom, the couch, and the upstairs loft area. Also please know that you can hear everything in this cabin including the beeps and lights from the garbage truck picking up trash at 4:30am and the fun woodpeckers that are pecking at the cabin most of the day and night. Despite the amenities being just ok, we had a great time but did want to provide this information for others.
