"We stated at Hotel Julen for 2 days May 7 & 8th to go up the Matterhorn. Our room was very nice and very clean, staff were very friendly and welcoming. The included breakfast had everything anyone could desire. We had supper at one of the restaurants ( Schaferstube) in the hotel on our 2nd night. For those looking for a traditional Swiss atmosphere and food we would highly recommend it. We had the beef fondue which was excellent. Location is excellent. We would highly recommend this hotel."

"Everything was perfect during our 2 night stay from Nov 7-9. We went during low season and got upgraded, so we got a balcony with Matterhorn views and a mini bar with a fridge, plates, eating utensils, glasses, kettle and a Nespresso machine…came in handy since only one restaurant was open during our stay. The spa was so relaxing, the Onsen can get crowded but we just waited for our turn and sometimes we had it to ourselves, the yurts were adorable, love their tea, bathrobes, and slippers. ...

"The hotel is beautiful, has really large and well decorated rooms, amazing bathrooms, large balconies, and once you walk outside, you have a breathtaking view of Mount Matterhorn and the river that goes thru the village. The breakfast is great, you get your money's worth. With all this said, the only reason the hotel did not receive a 5 star review was an incident that could have been handled better. "Amazing stay at an amazing property. We were picked up promptly from the station after calling. We would have walked the 10 minutes down the hill but it was pouring rain. Rooms were ready and clean. They called a restaurant they suggested to us to make sure they were open (it was the beginning of the shoulder season). The rooms weren’t very sound proofed, but it really wasn’t needed. "Everything was amazing! beautiful room, great views, easy hotel shuttle to and from the train station, breakfast included, accessible to the highlights we wanted to see. If it is not cloudy, the photos on the hotel's website of the matterhorn are real! The spa was a nice touch. We probably spent more time there than hiking in the mountains. Onsite restaurant and bar are a little expensive... but so is everywhere else in Zermatt. The hotel is off of the RED city bus line. Google Maps didn't...
