"We were not able to go to this hotel on Mac Island because of a natural disaster. The smoke from Canadian fires was so bad that it was dangerous. Though we did not have insurance, I felt the hotel should give us some kind of refund. I am sure there were several people with rooms like ours who couldn't go. We called them and they said it was company policy."

"Had to leave our cabin because of having asthma and no A/C during Canadian smoke. I called the hotel front desk and they were kind enough to let me know it was smoky there. Who does that?
All the staff was friendly, kind, helpful, quick to respond and enjoyable to talk to. Rooms were clean and loved the big screen tv and the bigger fridge that we needed. Kudos to management! Who also feed the employees one day while we were there. It smelled delicious! Good way to keep excellent...
