Cozy Family-Friendly Riverfront Home. Perfect Setting for All Celebrations!

  • Experience the river life of Camanche with this completely remodeled 100 year old two story home on the Mississippi. Small house that feels large with lots of seating areas to relax and read a book or take a cat nap. This house has panoramic views up and down the river with a completely new kitchen and new bathrooms. Enjoy the sunrise over the river with all new windows across the backside of the house. Bring your boat as the public boat dock is adjacent to the property or just enjoy watching the boat traffic go by and waving to the friendly boaters. The house is in a perfect location on 1st Street near small parks and the public library and dock. There is a large front porch on the street side where you can sit and watch the many walkers and runners using the bike path.
    On the river side of the house there is an open back yard with a picnic table and a small fire pit for fires. The house is also within walking distance to a nearby pub with coffee shops and convenience stores seven short blocks away. This is a house for all seasons! Great for families or group gatherings.

This is the second year staying at the River House for graduation weekends. The house was a perfect spot for family and friends to gather when not at other functions. The kitchen is easy to work in and great for serving meals rather than going out. It is on the banks of the Mississippi River and has great views. Some of our party went fishing. There's a nice fire ring that we used for relaxing and s'mores. We highly recommend it.

This home is really lovely and the views of the river are beautiful. The hosts were quick to respond when setting up our dates and time of arrival. We would highly recommend this property for a nice vacation spot!

We felt welcomed as soon as we stepped inside. The home is clean and inviting. The river view is quite the draw. It was our 2nd time staying at this home and felt very much at home. Out host was responsive to any questions we had and was very kind. A wonderful place to stay and relax.

Beautiful Riverside Property

We were in town for a funeral and needed space for an unknown number of people and a kitchen to cook for the whole funeral. This place was perfect for that and more. Waking up to a wonderful view of the river every morning was an absolute joy.

location was fabulous-sitting and watching the river was so relaxing few minor glitches-mostly the pullout couch was uncomfortable but after the first night we pulled the mattress onto the floor and that was acceptable we will stay there again if we can

My family LOVED this home. Its beautiful and very comfortable and inviting. The hosts were so kind and friendly and really cared about making our stay a perfect one. They informed us of all the local attractions and events and made sure we had everything we needed. I would gladly stay here again.

Beautiful home, beautiful view, lovely time. Karlee and Gary are great communicators and hosts. We, a group of 4 friends, appreciated their thoughtful touches and intentional care in setting up the property. The winter view is amazing, great for bird (esp. eagle) watching. Cosy and clean! I hope to come again someday with my family.

Graduation weekend

We had a great time with family and friends. It was a great place to gather, relax, play games, and have meals. The kitchen was perfect for food prep and there are plenty of spaces to gather together or to sneak away and be alone. It is in an inviting quiet part of town. We enjoyed watching the river traffic from the backyard.

Home is maintained beautifully. Appreciated the step by step house instructions. Loved the location as it was peaceful but close enough to stores to get anything you might need. Loved the view of the river from both inside and outside of the home. Kitchen was equipped with all newer appliances and everything you may need. My husband and I enjoyed our stay.

Enjoyable 3 night stay

Very nice, recently renovated home located on a scenic lot adjacent to the Mississippi River. Proprietors were very welcoming and all the amenities were as advertised. My wife and I both worked remotely while visiting and wi fi was great. We walked the neighborhood multiple times and felt very safe.

Property exactly as advertised. All 3 bedrooms had comfortable beds even the bunk beds. Lower bunk was a double bed. The kitchen and bathrooms were all stocked and ready for us. The gas grill, dishwasher, and washer/dryer came in handy. Beautiful view from back of the house and 2 of the bedrooms. This location is perfect for a relaxing vacation. Accomendating owners, we highly recommend this property. A
