CASA LIMAO (2015) heated pool, near the sea, dunes, forest.

CASA LIMAO is a modern house ( 2015) with its own ecologically heated swimming pool. ( via air to water heatpump and solar pannels) On the terrace is a foldable table with chairs, relax seats, umbrella and a fixed BBQ. The 2 bedrooms upstairs (with 2 person beds) also have a terrace with a view over the surroundings. The downstairs bedroom has 2 single beds and overlooks the terrace and swimming pool. There is a baby bed or foldable cot and high chair available. Upstairs bathroom has a large shower, 2 sinks, WC and bidet. The bathroom downstairs has 1 sink, a shower and WC. There are soap dispensers and hairdryer / hair dryer.
The modern kitchen is equipped with fridge, freezer, oven, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, blender, extensive cookware, glasses for water, wine, champagne ... There is a dishwasher, a built-in washer / dryer, drying rack and washing thread; iron + ironing board; extensive cleaning supplies and central vacuum cleaner.
The living room has a large sofa and 2 separate seats.
There is air conditioning in all rooms. In the winter there is heating in all rooms via air conditioning or electrically in the bathrooms. We have free fast internet, Vodafone TV with a selection of international channels and Portuguese and Spanish TV. Als available: TV Vlaanderen with a large selection of Flemisch, Dutch and international channels and an entry for ( you own) Chromecast.
Closed private parking for 1 car. More cars can be parked in fornt of the house, in an quiet and safe dead end street. We have 2 mountain / city bikes available.( only upon request)

Seaside resort of Sao Martino do Porto at 2 km (including a 2 km walking path through the dunes).
6 km from the highway to Lisbon (1 hour) and Porto (2 hours).
Just a few kilometers from Nazaré, Obidos, Peniche, Foz de Arelho ...
Bus stop and train station network at 400 meters.
The caretaker lives at 6 km, is available 24/7 by telephone and speaks Portuguese and French. Owner speaks Dutch, French, German and English.

Excellent stay

We had been traveling in the Azores and mainland Portugal for multiple days. Casa Limao was the last stop on our vacation and it was so very nice. We took advantage of its location and did day trips to various sites within 1.5 hours. Nazaré was an easy drive for dinners or to walk the beach. We enjoyed the house and pool. Although the weather was cool during our visit, we still enjoyed the heated pool water. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking meals which we did as well as eating out. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were gorgeous. It was located in a quiet neighborhood so no outdoor noise to wake us like our stays in Lisbon or Porto. The check in process was easy and overall communication prior to our arrival was excellent. I highly recommend this property!

Great place for family looking to drive around a cool location off the coast - kind owner

Owner is very kind and responsive. The local manager is kind also and speak English well. There was an issue for a day and half where our master shower was not working due to a missing piece so our family of five needed to use the smaller unit. Not a problem but just inconvenience. I had to be proactive in this communication but after the owner personally called and wanted to make sure the unit issue was addressed. They did get then handy man to come and fix it. Outside of this challenge, the unit is clean, close to great hiking, and owned/managed by kind people.

Lovely modern property

We spent 10 days at Casa Limao and had a fabulous time. The property has a modern feel to it and is very clean and tidy with everything you could need. The kids appreciated the heated pool as the weather was quite cool for August. We had quite a bit of mist in the mornings whilst we were there but also plenty of sunshine most afternoons. There is small supermarket 5 minutes walk away and a few restaurants and cafes, with many more if you walk onto the main bay 30 minutes away in Sao Martinho do Porto where you will also find a larger supermarket. We used Uber quite a bit to get around which worked well. Overall a lovely stay, thank you Peter & Marilou and Adilia, the very helpful housekeeper! :)

Nice but not for me

Very easy to find location with GPS.You do need a car staying here as not much near by. Unfortunately checkin didn't go well. The property manger forgot i was arriving, asked me to checkin later. I understand things happen but after an 8 hour flight I was tired and now asked to find somewhere to go for a couple of hours. When i was called to return I was 15mins away. She sounded upset telling me she was in a hurry. Made me feel like I was a burden. The house is nice. Not impressed with the cleanliness. Every dish i took out was dirty. The main bathroom mirrors where dirty. No garbage liners in the bathroom. Only one bed was made. Not making the beds made the house feel unwelcomeing. I was provided 1 bath towel &1 hand towel for 5 nights. A couple extra towels would have gone a long way! No hair dryer. Eventually found one in the storage room but it was not acceptable for use. You are required to clean and strip the bed before leaving I feel that was a bit much. I do always clean but I'm already paying a fee! The outdoor space decent. Based on the property & my experience, unfortunately i will not return to Casa Limao.

Myself and a group of friends enjoyed a lovely stay in Salir do Porto. The villa is relatively small, but is well laid out and has everything you need for a comfortable holiday. The location is a short distance from the small village and the nearest beach, but the pool is excellent. The local manager, Adilia, is friendly and very helpful The local area is beautiful and has many attractions in close proximity. A car is recommended to get the best from the villa. Overall, highly recommended.

Super séjour à la Casa Limao!

Nous avons passé un 10 jours parfait à Salir de Porto. La maison est très belle et propre et très bien équipée. La piscine était un gros plus pour les enfants et même si nous étions début avril le fait qu'elle soit chauffée nous permettait de se baigner toute la journée. La plage de Salir de Porto est magnifique et le coin sécuritaire et sympathique. Petit parc pour enfant et épicerie à 5-10 minutes de marche. Nous reviendrions sans hésiter!

Das Haus ist sehr schön und geschmackvoll eingerichtet und bietet alles, was man sich von einer Unterkunft wünscht, schöne Räume, gute Ausstattung, einen beheizten Pool, ein Außengelände und ein ruhiges Wohngebiet. Der Erstkontakt mit und der Empfang durch die Hausverwalterin war sehr freundlich und wir haben uns gleich wohl gefühlt.

NICHT EMPFEHLENSWERT!

Wir haben das Haus für einen Zeitraum von 4 Wochen gemietet. Da nur begrenzter Text möglich ist, werde ich mich kurz halten müssen. Angefangen mit der Beschreibung "brandneues" Haus, was in allen Bereichen nicht der Wahrheit entspricht! Angegeben sind funktionierende Klimaanlagen - diese haben über den gesamten Zeitraum nur sporadisch funktioniert und wenn sie angingen führte es immer wieder zu Stromausfällen! Das Einfahrtstor für das Auto konnte ebenfalls über den kompletten Zeitraum nicht genutzt werden, da direkt der gesamte Strom ausgefallen ist, sobald man diese öffnen wollte. Angegeben sind 2 Badezimmer - das im Erdgeschoss konnte nicht genutzt werden, da die Dusche undicht ist und somit das Wasser unter der Dusche durchläuft. Wir waren gezwungen mit 6 Leuten einen ganzen Monat lang nur ein Badezimmer zum duschen zu nutzen! Die angegebenen Entfernungen stimmen nicht! Zum Strand sind es 950m (nicht 800m), zum Café 550m (nicht 400m)! Die Steckdosen im Obergeschoss für den Staubsauger funktionieren nicht, sodass wir keine Möglichkeit hatten, die obere Etage zu saugen! Ekelhaft! Alle Mängel wurden direkt nach Einzug mit der Hausdame und anschließend mit dem Vermieter persönlich mitgeteilt, es wurde zum Ende 1 Elektriker und 1 Klempner geschickt, die allerdings nichts machen konnten! Der Elektriker begründete die Stromausfälle mit unzureichend verfügbaren Ampere, sodass die Klimaanlagen + Einfahrtstor überhaupt nicht funktionieren können. Einfach nur unmöglich!

Beautiful Villa in a quiet location

This villa is exactly as the photos show.It is extremely well laid out and comfortable. The heated pool is absolutely brilliant and so enjoyable for everyone. Te area is quiet and a short walk to the beach or the local shops. Sao Martinho has a fantastic selection of restaurants for all tastes and budgets. Adilia was wonderful and helped us with all our queries. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Salir de Porto and highly recommend it.

Excellent villa in a beautiful area

We had a fantastic stay and were very impressed by the area and the villa. We had plenty of space as a family of four and really enjoyed the pool area. We would highly recommend Portabello and Cafe Taberna in Sao Martinho: excellent meals at both of these restaurants. Just a few minor niggles prevent five stars: we weren't able to check in until 5:30 - not the 4pm advertised - because the property was still being cleaned. Although we were able to drop our luggage off and sit by the pool, we (and our young children) had been up since 3am for our early flight and were hoping for an afternoon nap! The pool wasn't cleaned until out final day (day 11) rather than the weekly clean advertised and we also didn't receive any clean towels or linen in our 12 day stay. Otherwise, a really enjoyable stay in a beautiful part of Portugal.

Erholsame Tage in einem wunderschönen Ferienhaus

Wir haben uns von Anfang an in diesem modern eingerichteten Haus sehr wohlgefühlt. Adilia hat uns sehr freundlich begrüßt und alles Nötige erklärt, zur Begrüßung stand leckerer Wein und Knabbereien auf dem Tisch - vielen Dank für diesen herzlichen Empfang! Es ist alles da, was man für den Haushalt und Tage am Pool so braucht. So haben wir eine schöne Urlaubswoche inklusive Silberhochzeit verbracht!

Tolles Haus und gute Lage

Wir waren Mitte Juni 2023 zu Dritt hier. Vom Flughafen ca. 1 h mit dem Auto zu fahren. Das Haus ist genauso wie auf den Bildern. Alles sehr sauber und sehr gut ausgestattet. Ein zusätzlicher Sonnenschirm wäre von Vorteil. Zum einen um mehr Schatten zu haben und zum anderen um bei Regen trotzdem draußen sitzen zu können. Pool ist beheizt und auch sauber. Man kann auch draußen Grillen was wir toll fanden. Adilia war sehr nett und sehr hilfsbereit. Es stand ein Begrüssungskorb für uns bereit. In der Nähe ist ein toller sehr weitläufiger Sandstrand mit Lifeguard. Da es eine Art Bucht ist, sind die Wellen auch nicht so stark wie sonst in Portugal. Kleiner Wehrmutstropfen waren Bauarbeiten in der Nähe. Es wird dort wohl gerade ein Gebiet neu erschlossen. Uns hat das nicht groß gestört, aber ich verstehe wenn das für andere ein Problem sein könnte. Es scheint aber dass sie schon fast fertig sind. Wir können das Ferienhaus definitiv weiterempfehlen. Die Umgebung kann man schön mit einem Mietwagen erkunden und es ist auf den Straßen nicht viel los. Wir kommen gerne mal wieder. Gruss Julia

Delightful

The property is lovely, had everything we needed and well located in a quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed walking to the village centre for the mercado(great prices!) and local restaurant. Also had a beer in their centre! The pool is perfect, especially after a long day touring. Our only hiccup was the airconditioning. We only wanted to use the one in the main floor bedroom at night but on our first night when we turned it on it blew all the power in the house. (the electrical panel is by the front door under the woven hanging rug, there is a second panel on the second floor- recommend adding this to the welcome book) The owner did arrange for an electrician to come however of course it didn't blow the panel while he was there. That night we turned it on and again blew the power but this time after flipping the main switch back on the AC worked. Same the next night and on the last night we didn't blow the power. I think it had to do with the solar panels not being turned on but we were not given any instructions to do so, so just a tip for the next visitor.

Entspannter Aufenthalt

Wir hatten einen sehr entspannten Aufenthalt im Haus und der Umgebung. Alles was man braucht war vorhanden und die "Hausverwaltung" ist auch TOP und geht auf alle Fragen und Wünsche ein. Wir werden bestimmt wieder kommen.
