Trefeglwys is 4 miles north of the market town of Llanidloes and this delightful, well-equipped cottage with ensuite bathrooms stands just a mile above the village. It's one of two high quality farm buildings converted to charming holiday accommodation inthe grounds of the owner's C15th half-timbered farmhouse. There are great leisure facilities for visitors on the farm too, including a tennis court, playground.
Size: Sleeps up to 8, 4 bedrooms; No young groups, sorry.

Spacious and comfortable

Everything was beautiful and the cottage was more than efficient. The only things we had problems with were the directions for finding it locally and the washer/dryer all in one! As Californians, this was new to us and we had no idea it would take so long for a load of clothes! We are learning… Thanks to the owner who was unfortunately out of town so we did not get to meet.

Perfect lodging for a group of artists working at trefeglws printmaking. Clean and comfortable in an idyllic setting. Lovely hosts will definitely book again.

The booking process was easy, instructions were clear. Contacting the owner was simple and she was very helpful. When we arrived we had a lovely welcome and shown around the cottage. We had been left milk, tea, coffee and sugar as well as some homemade welsh cake - really yum, thank you Helen! The cottage was perfect for all of us. The bedrooms were comfortable and spacious, all bathrooms clean with plenty of towels. The living areas were superb - 2 lounge areas which, considering there were a mix of kids and adults it worked out really well. Kitchen was very well equipped. We used fridge, freezer, oven, microwave and dishwasher even the washing machine. Tablets provided as well as plenty of tea towels. The house is nice and warm, plenty of hot water and good outdoor space from the patio doors. The outside was just lovely - the childrens play area went down really well and considering it was end of March the weather was very kind and we all played football outside and on the equipment. A little walk around the area was great and would have liked to go further but with a 2 & 5 year old in toe it probably wasn't going to happen! The area was beautiful with outstanding views, quiet and tranquil (the only noise was from the sheep - ewes protecting their lambs!) We all enjoyed the games room above the owners garage - a pool table a table tennis table and a new air hockey table. They were a hit with kids and adults! Overall if you want to get away from it all with things to do without going anywhere then come here - simply perfect! The only downside was having to go home - we plan to return.
