Beautiful accommodations, setting, with deer grazing on the front lawn. Two wonderful covered decks across front and back of the house. Inside was spotless. Kitchen and bathrooms very modern with everything needed. Furniture comfortable. Quiet and restful! Recommend highly!

Lovely, comfortable cottage!

This small cottage just off of Lake Barkley was a delight and exceeded our expectations. It was extremely clean, well supplied, everything we needed, and more. The power was out for a while after a storm, and the hosts were prompt and informative when we contacted them with questions. We would stay again, and just might!

Fun with friends

This home is perfect for 2 couples. Everything about it works. Fire pit for happy hour, table for cards, kitchen for snacks and breakfast and the porches for enjoying the view and fresh air. The owner was very responsive also. Great stay.

The views of the lake framed with fall’s brilliant colors revived our souls. Everything we needed to enjoy the beauty of nature and relax the cabin had available to us. Very clean and organized. We watched the deer from inside and on the back porch.plenty of games and videos to entertain

Relaxation Galore!

When you see the VRBO exceeding your expectations, you know you hit the jackpot! This lovely home was so beautiful, up to date, and had all we needed and more. The beds were comfortable, the views were amazing and the privacy was delightful. We especially enjoyed the front and back porches for visiting, drinking coffee and watching the wildlife. A special treat was momma deer and her two babies that came to see us every morning and evening. We were so glad the owners left us corn to feed them. A must if you go is to visit the Bison & Elk Prairie. We went around the loop twice and on the second loop, our car was surrounded by about 30 bison. What a great experience. Thank you for such a lovely stay and we hope to come back sometime.

Cabin at Lake Barkley

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. It was beyond our expectations. The cabin itself was a wonderful surprise - very clean, neat, and over the top amenities. We had deer in the yard every evening and morning and were able to view them from the back deck. We also saw raccoons and an armadillo. It was quite the show. The lake was a little distance from the cabin but we had a good view of it. We made S’Mores around the comfortable firepit with the owner supplied wood, fire starter kit and marshmallow sticks. Cell service was poor but the internet and WiFi service was great. It is also located close (3 - 4 miles) to convenience stores for supplies. The property was very private but not secluded. This was probably the best rental vacation property we have stayed in as far as the cabin itself and the amenities. The only problem we had was at check in. I did not receive the email from Evolve (the property manager) with the front door code and instructions. I waited up until about 15 min before our check in time to see if the instructions would be sent and kept checking my emails (and spam) as well as the VRBO app. We had a hard time contacting Evolve and had to get with VRBO to get the information. We spent about 45 min doing this but VRBO was able to resolve the issue fairly quickly. The information comes in an email from Evolve instead of through the VRBO app. Otherwise everything else was perfect. I would highly recommend this property.

Relaxation!

This is a beautiful place if you love to relax on the porch and see and listen to the wildlife. The home is beautiful and VERY CLEAN! They had everything you would need.When we arrived we were greated by deer. A momma and 2 babies were there all the time along with some others from time to time. We watched them and the other wildlife from the front and back porch.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will be back! it.our stay!

Family Ancestry Hunt

Loved the peaceful setting. Enjoyed sitting outside watching the deer and listening to nature and the birds. We fixed breakfasts and diners in your lovely kitchen and watched some TV. We had a very relaxing stay. Love the area; Hope to return.

Lake Getaway

I was so impressed with this cabin. The cleanliness, the overall decor & appearance & how well it was stocked. I have done B&B before & been disappointed the place didnt match the pictures. But this one was exactly what the listing said, even better! This felt like home away from home!!!
