This is a beautiful apartment, a four-minute walk to beautiful Combate Beach and a short drive to many other fantastic beaches. It is very comfortable and clean. It is well stocked with any kitchen utensils you might need and the beds are very comfortable. The manager, Maria is very helpful. We highly recommend this rental.

Family Loved it! Incredibly easy to unpack from reserved parking spots (2), easy entree to apartment on first level, 3 minute walk to beach. Massive amount of beach accessories, amenities, towels, air conditioners etc… too much to list. Security was awesome, tighter than Fort Knox. Blender didn’t work, but was replaced immediately. I Loved it, wife loved it, kids Loved it! Both in-laws ( older folks) loved it. We should have booked it for longer!!!

Lovely beach, condo is perfect setup for 1-2 families

Pros: It would be hard to beat the beach that is walking distance from the condo- shallow for a long ways and no waves! There are lizards galore, which provided some entertainment! Pool is small but a nice amenity to have. We really appreciated the stocked kitchen. Kids enjoyed the bunk beds. It was fantastic to have a washer & dryer to stay on top of the laundry our family of four creates. Cons: The air outside had a foul smell (perhaps due to all the reptiles, salt marsh or salt flats or all things combined). Mosquitoes are prevalent.

First Floor Condo

This first floor condo is very spacious. For our group of 6, it filled all our needs. Gated complex and the extra security doors made us feel safe. Private access to the public beach was nice. However the beach was packed and not clean, wasn’t what we expected from reading other reviews. We stayed on the beach until sundown and the mosquitos attacked us on the way back. The pool is small and was packed so we didn’t use it. The patio is nice with plenty of seating. Spacious living and dining areas were a bonus for us as we like to play games in the evenings. Most essentials were provided except laundry soap. There’s a nice grocery about 5 mins away. The air conditioning was pleasant along with the water pressure. Easy check in and out instructions. We loved exploring the area. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

Beautiful location

The house was right near the beach. It was just a small walk (3-5 mins) down a natural path. Very natural setting. Shady trees and calm warm water. The complex has a pool and lots of big friendly iguanas! The house had the basics and a nice collection of beach necessities. It was also clean and large enough for everyone! The air conditioning was super powerful in each room so you won’t be hot here! The water pressure and temps were perfect. I was hoping there would be screens for the bugs on the windows and there were screens!! The host was very nice and super responsive. She even sent the cleaners during our stay. Plenty of towels in the house for showering and going to the beach. The washer and dryer were useful and appreciated. Bring your own soap for clothing. Restaurant Santos has the best rice and beans around! Cabo Rojo has beautiful beaches and natural beauty all around.

Great location

The location was perfect. Quick walk to some restaurants and just down a short path to a beautiful beach. The condo was clean and there was plenty of room for everyone. The host was great in communication and even made sure there was beach stuff, like chairs and a cooler, which came in really handy! My children and I had a great time and loved the place and location.

Spacious apartment in a great location.

Maria’s place was quite spacious and located a short walk through natural spaces (with clear trails) to Lovely Combate Beach (3 minutes from your door to the sand?). Maria’s house looked like the pictures and was clean. The kitch had a fridge, stove, cooking supplies, and a coffee pot. Washer and dryer as advertised. You may need your own detergent (we didn’t find any). The patio was lovely and comfy though the mosquitos come out in the morning and evening. (Not crazy, but they’re there.) Maria had 5 beach chairs, cooler wagon, several sand buckets and two shovels available for use. Also, plenty of beach and bath towels. The beds were very comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. You’re right next door to the El Combate Beach Resort where there’s great breakfast and friendly service at the “cyber cafe”. Several restaurants are available downtown, about a 5 minute leisurely walk away. Heads-up, many places are closed Monday and Tuesday. Some closed Wednesday too. Combate Beach is great for swimming, sitting and walking. Twenty minutes away, the beaches in Boquerón are *stunning*. Great for swimming, snorkeling (see a good bit of fish and other creatures right off the beach), sitting and walking. The state park beach in Boquerón is closed Monday and Tuesdays but you can park outside and walk in. We had a lovely time in El Combate and Maria’s was a great spot for us to experience the area.

Excellent place to stay. We were 7 and the apartment was very comfortable. Walking distance to the beach and places to eat. The host was easy ro comunícate with. Definitely great place to star!

Apartamento perfecto, bien equipado, áreas verdes, piscina y a pasos de la playa!

El apartamento esta perfecto, super bien equipado y tal como se ve en las fotos. habitaciones cómodas y con buen aire acondicionado. Me encantó que tiene verja en el area del patio, excelente para mantener privacidad del área y también para niños. Un lugar muy tranquilo y cerquita de la playa, literalmente a pasos. Se puede hacer caminatas, correr o montar bike por todo el borde la playa, ya que toda esa área es bien extensa. En fin, la combinación del apartamento y el lugar donde esta ubicado es excelente. Super recomendado.

My experience at Vistamar, Combate PR

This apartment is the best place to stay. Better than the pictures! Good taste for decoration, modern furniture, soft and high quality sheets. First floor, few steps to the beach, quiet and well located at Combate. The communication with the manager was perfect. She was able to attend every request with kindness and in an effective way. Quick responder. I will rent this apartment again and again if my destiny is Combate.

Great property!

This condo was clean, well furnished, with comfortable beds and appliances/kitchen all working and as described. Maria is a great host! The condo is within walking distance to bars and restaurants as well as to Combate beach. Would stay here again!

Great beach neighborhood.

Property was clean and just as illustrated, but readers may want to know that the bedrooms don’t have reading lamps. When we were there, Combate Beach was relatively quite and calm, excellent for swimming and strolling. Some nice restaurants are within walking distance and plenty of others are a short drive away. Communication with Maria was fine. All in all, a lovely few days.

Clean and comfortable properly, it had everything we needed. Close to the beautiful beaches on the SW part of the island. Great and reasonable breakfast next door at Xabores Cyber Cafe. Overall a great place to stay.
