Also, they placed us in the wrong cottage at first. They accommodated us by placing us in the right cottage with no problem.Moreover, me and my family are planning to come back during the holiday"

"We stayed this past week with our two dogs, and it was a wonderful family vacation. We stayed in the Blacksmith Cottage, which was fully-furnished with everything we needed. The kitchen was clean and well-stocked with pots and pans, and the oven and fridge were great to have. The bathroom was clean and comfortable. The grounds were quiet and seemed very safe - we did hear the trains a few times, but with a white-noise speaker and some soft earplugs, it didn't bother us or the dogs at all. If...

"Your own private beach with beautiful views of the Chesapeake Bay. Kids played in the sand even in the cooler weather. Got to see dolphins playing while taking morning and evening walks. It was a perfect size house for our family. "

"Everything was perfect, a short walk to the beach, getting things delivered was easy, overall the perfect place to stay"

"Very comfortable nice little view of James river. Easy in out of resort. AC was a little loud but who cares when it’s hot. Good shower pressure. Would go again "

"This was probably the best property that I've stayed at, maybe ever. I had a family of 8 and the two apartments that we shared were perfect. I will be staying here again"

"If you’re looking for a place for you to have a safe space with your family, young or old, with all the amenities that you would want from your own home this is it. If you’re a veteran, there’s multitude of bases nearby with commissary’s to get groceries for the week to help the budget. "

"Property manager canceled my stay with no notice. I had already driven a great distance to be there. Took several days for them to issue the refund despite the fact that they canceled the reservation same day. Actually they told me I had to cancel the reservation on my end. I assume this was so they would still get the money from the reservation, but I called to cancel it and explain the situation. Long story short don’t book here."

"The pictures are inaccurate.A family was staying right at the deck.The grilling area is in rough shape.I will purchase canceling insurance for now on because of this property.Very outdated.Needs some money put into it.It has good potential but a no thankyou for me.Parking was terrible for me as I had a big work truck.And outdated appliances.Live and learn."
