"If you are looking for a B & B on the north coast of Scotland this is it! We don't give out 5 star reviews lightly, and this accommodation definitely deserves it. And the food was fabulous - they could have opened a restaurant instead of a B & B. Don't go out to dinner if you are staying here, order from their menu. Kacey & Stephen are wonderful hosts and could not have been more attentive."

"Wakker worden met uitzicht op bos. wayne is een super vriendelijke host. Hij beantwoord vragen direct, heeft leuke tips en advies voor trips in omgeving. Ideale tussenstop als je de NC500 rijdt. Maar eigenlijk jammer dat we niet langer dan 1 nacht konden blijven. Bedden lagen heerlijk, fijn beddengoed, textiel etc. Het is ontzettend schoon. We verbeleven hier met 3 personen. Meer dan voldoende ruimte. In keuken alles aanwezig. Wifi uitstekend. We raden deze cottage aan om te boeken. Als je tijd...

"This was just an overnight after driving up from Dornoch and getting on the ferry to Orkney at Gills Bay the next morning. However Eilean and Graeme greeted us in the parking area and helped us move into our room. Provided us with lots of info on their property and where to eat. Our room was very comfortable and breakfast in the morning had lots of variety and our choices were delicious. "

"Accommodation was very clean and comfortable and location was very handy for ferry terminal. Only slight issue was layout of the bedroom; sloping roof and wall lights made it more awkward to get past bed to get to bathroom during the night. Food was amazing particularly the seafood platter. Good choices for breakfast too."

"This was the nicest hotel we’ve stayed in so far!!! Looks like they just renovated. They recommended well in advance that dinner reservations should be made and the best place to park the vehicle. 5 big stars!!!"

"Easy access from the ferry terminal and a great bar. Shout out to Euan/Ewan for his excellent whisky and gin recommendations. Bedroom was spacious and comfortable with a view of the harbour. Dinner needs to be booked in advance and is really good quality, top marks to the Chef. Buffet breakfast a little cold, which was a shame as the produce delicious. "

"Love this hotel! Its location near the harbor and right by the main restaurants and sites in Kirkwall is really convenient and safe - with fun things to do all around. The staff were all very pleasant and the pub and restaurant were nice."
