Experience luxury on Lake Anna at this beautiful lakefront brick home in Bumpass. Offering a private boat dock, a private firepit, a large fenced yard for your dogs to roam, and a game room with a pool table, a Ping-Pong table, a foosball table, air hockey, and a bar. You can launch one of the provided kayaks onto the pristine waters, then return to play board games against friends or family (or boot up the gaming system). Prepare dinner in the full kitchen along with the gas grill and dine al-fresco before gathering around the wood-burning fireplace to stream movies on the flatscreen TV. Enjoy a fun night of cards in the poker room then settle into the home's massage chair to enjoy a good novel. Complimentary WiFi & cable provide causal entertainment, while a private washer/dryer round out your home's essentials.

This home is located on the shores of the lake, so swimming, boating, kayaking, and more are at your fingertips. Lake Anna Winery is seven-and-a-half miles away and Lake Anna State Park, which offers a sand beach, playground, and pavilions, is just further at eleven-and-a-half miles from your door.

Streaming TV services require guest accounts to access.
A high chair, Pack-N-Play, baby gates, and age-appropriate dinnerware are available for younger guests.
One stand-up paddleboard and one paddle boat are available for guests.
A boat launch is available at Dukes Creek Marina. Pleasants Landing is another local marina where guests can launch.
The boat slip is not available for guest use - guests can tie their boat to the side of the dock.

Dock details: There is a dock for mooring a boat at the waterfront (also a sunning area).



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Great location and doc, but house needs serious attention

The outdoor space and location are the highlights of this rental - the dock is very nice and the setting on the lake is lovely. Unfortunately, the house itself was a major disappointment and not at the level we expected based on the glowing reviews. The home is dated and in need of maintenance. We dealt with ants and even a mouse during our stay. Basic things like toilets and shower heads had to be adjusted to work properly. The ice maker was broken, the dryers heat panel blew out, the grill was rusted and unusable, and the dock lights didn't work. On top of that, many of the dishes in the cabinet were dirty and required washing before we could use. Property management was responsive, but we shouldn't have to manage this amount of issues during our stay. This property would be amazing with some real investment in the house and attention to upkeep, but as it stands, it didn't feel worth the price. We did enjoy the outside of the house, but the issues inside made it hard to fully enjoy our stay.

Favorite Lake Anna Retreat

This marks the fourth time we’ve stayed at this home for our vacation and we keep coming back. We love the home and the land. It’s perfect for renting a boat to do fishing or water sports for the day or week. We like the outdoor awning when we’re sitting down midday to take a break from swimming or boating. The older kids (adults) like to hang out in the downstairs game room.

A relaxing getaway

We came from about an hour away to spend the week relaxing. We were able to rent a boat and go tubing and fishing. We used the paddle board and kayak when we needed a break from the boat and in the evenings before dinner. In the home there is a nice massage chair and the open living room, kitchen area made it easy to connect with family. We even had a few hours that we had to do work and the WIFI worked great. Would highly recommend. They do need to fix the air hockey table and the dryer takes 2 cycles to dry.

Disappointed

The house is very old. The inside needs to be updated with new furniture, mattresses, toilets, etc. The untensils, plates, pots, pans, cups are old and look very rough. The outside deck had pollen stains that needed to be power washed. The dock was nice but was very dirty. It also needed to be power washed. There also needs to be a bigger Keurig for the kitchen. The one that is there is too small and slow. Overall we were disappointed with the property. We think it is over rated and the rental price is too high for the property.

Overall, the house was very nice! We really loved the trek deck with a roll down cover. The internet and tv service were very good!The house is very clean. The game room was outstanding! Many games for kids and adults. A few minor items would make the property outstanding! Those items are: 1 regular size kureg ( the one there is too small and slow, 2. The plastic chairs for the fire pit are worn out and unstable. They need to be replaced, 3. Fire pit is poor. Need to put a better one on the property, 4.outside lamp near driveway wasn’t working( could be a safety hazard walking from car at night), 5. The dock needs to be power washed.

Great property and owner, dicey property management

First, the good parts: the property is great. Even though we had a rainy weekend which limited how much we could use the lake, the property is comfortable. Importantly for groups, it has several distinct spaces to relax and be apart or together as needed. We would do our own thing during the day (play games, swim, visit the state park, etc.) and come together at meals later. Unfortunately, the good parts were profoundly outweighed by the fact that the property is managed by Vacasa. The check-in email they sent contained details but did not contain a check-in code; the spot where there would have been a code was blank. This meant we had no way to get into the house in the pouring rain on Friday afternoon. When I called the number they listed on their VRBO reservation and left a message, no one answered. When I left a message through VRBO, no one replied. Vacasa also publishes a completely separate portal apart from VRBO, making it confusing about which one to use (why list on VRBO if you can't answer guests there?). When I messaged on the Vacasa portal, I also received no response until days later, after the trip had completed. I was able to get the check-in code after four attempts, only by calling in to Vacasa's general phone line and navigating to speak with an agent. Not exactly the experience you want as a guest. Overall, they were nonresponsive via both VRBO messaging and the listed phone number. Second, the property was inadequately stocked with basic cleaning supplies. For example, there was one dishwasher pod for seven people over three days. I'm not sure if Vacasa understands how humans work, but that's about eight meals, each of which generate dishes. That's way more than one load of dishes. Moreover, they ask you to run the dishwasher before you leave, which means that you would have to use the dishwasher pod on that. When I wrote in to ask Vacasa about that, they didn't respond. When I called them they said they would "look into it" but also haven't responded as of this review. Overall, I'd be glad to stay at the property again, but this experience has made me very leery of Vacasa.

Wonderful Vacation

The property was spacious and well-appointed for our family of 13. We enjoyed having our meals on the patio, fishing from the dock, swimming in the lagoon, playing in the gameroom on our one rainy day, and having a birthday party, an engagement party and a glow dance party in the large family room. We would love to return!

Pleasant Stay

Second time here and although enjoyable, we reported mouse droppings found in drawers and cupboard. Took two days for pest control to arrive who set traps but no one came to clean out and sanitize drawers and items in them. Hopefully it was cleaned out for next renter. Found that overall wear and tear after one year really showed. Not as clean inside. Need to clean out some pans that are peeling non-stick coating. Location is great and fairly quiet for time of year. No wood available for fire pit and nowhere to get any..Nice dock for tying up boat and plenty of activities in game room

Spacious house with beautiful lake view. The kayaks were unusable as there were no seats. Repeated attempts to resolve the issue with the Vacasa property manager were unsuccessful. We would not have rented a lake house that didn't offer kayaks so we were disappointed with our stay given that the time of year was great for kayaking but not for other water activities.
