The Space:

Escape to the peaceful beauty of Elk Ridge Cabin, a cozy bluff-side retreat designed for couples or small families. This 1-bedroom, 1-bath cabin with a spacious open loft sleeps up to 4 guests and offers unforgettable views of Nickajack Lake and the surrounding Tennessee River Gorge.



Inside, you’ll find everything you need for a comfortable stay: a full kitchen, real wood-burning fireplace, and essential amenities like WiFi and a washer/dryer. Sleep soundly in the downstairs full bed or the queen bed tucked into the charming loft space above.



Step outside to your own private oasis—soak in the hot tub while taking in panoramic lake views, grill up your favorite meals, or relax with a drink on the outdoor furniture and watch the sunset from the bluff.



Located in a gated cabin community just 25 miles from downtown Chattanooga, Elk Ridge Cabin is near the tri-state corner of Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama, offering the perfect base for exploring local trails, small towns, and scenic attractions.

Guests with electric vehicles can take advantage of a Rivian EV charger located in the central parking area by the gazebo at The Summit. The charger is fully operational and available for paid guest use.



By booking a Grant Summit Cabin vacation, you will have access to Paradise Pointe. Paradise Pointe is a neighboring community resort at the tri-state corner of AL/TN/GA. Hike the trail to stand in three states at once! Enjoy access to the huge indoor pool house with a communal hot tub, two indoor slides, an outdoor deck, seating, and more. 19 rentals at Paradise Pointe share these amenities. Plus, enjoy two small basketball courts, sand volleyball, horseshoes, and more for endless fun!



To ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for all, we encourage and request all guests to review our house rules before completing their booking. These guidelines help maintain comfort, security, and create clear expectations for all involved. The cabin was clean and in great condition! The views are amazing. I bet it is beautiful when the leaves are changing. The host was very quick and detailed with all communication. They provide plenty of fire wood for the fireplace or fire pit. This cabin is on the end and very private even though there are other cabins near by. The swimming pool is not within walking distance. So if you are planning on using it frequently you may want to consider some of the other cabins or drive. Most restaurants were about 20-35 min away. Same for grocery stores. Chattanooga was about 35 min away. We were a party of 2 and the cabin met all of our needs. We had an amazing time!

Communication was good, but cleaning could’ve been a bit more well done. There were many many bugs on the inside before we showed up. However it was handled fast the next day, but I wish it would’ve been noticed and handled before we got there. Everything else was wonderful!

We enjoyed our stay. Our host Sage was quick to answer any questions we had. It was clean. The view was gorgeous. The recliner and bed were quite comfortable. The fireplace was already stacked with wood, and created a very cozy vibe. I would recommend making sure there are matches or a lighter we had to run outand get one which we left behind for the next guest. Also the binder with attractions and places close by was helpful.

Upstairs loft - wall behind the bed needs dusted badly. Pods for the washer were missing, Kleenex would have been nice and more than one roll of tp. We missed the info on where the fire wood was located. It was a very nice visit. Loved the hot tub

Elk Ridge Cabin is absolutely exceptional. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience. The views were incredible and the property is very peaceful and quiet. Such a beautiful location. The property owners were very easy to work with as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!

Cabin in the hills

Lovely cabin. Views are beautiful. I'd like to offer some suggestions. First night, I went to use some pans for dinner. They were covered in burnt grease. Perhaps buy some new ones? I made do. Maybe provide some aluminum foil if keeping current pans? Later, I Iay down in bed to look up at the ceiling in the loft. To my surprise, ladybug or Japanese beetles crawling up there. Ignored them, started to read. They sure liked the bent lamp I turned on. Plink, plink they went. Used some tissues to kill a few. That must be why there was a small garbage bin near the bed! Deer season, so I heard the hunting. Peaceful on the deck. Incredible fall colors! Lovely cabin. Many postings in the cabin of the owner's expectations. Didn't use the hot tub, nor the fireplace. Cozy all the same.

Beautiful Views and Clean Stay

We have stayed at Grant Summit multiple times and we tell friends about it. The view is incredible overlooking Nickajack Lake and beautiful hills. The clouds come through the valley for breathtaking views. The hot tub is relaxing on the porch and it's just a little drive to Chattanooga to stay busy if you want.

Fantastic cabin

We absolutely loved the Elk Ridge cabin! The cabin was in a great area and was very private which we loved. It had amazing views that made us want to stay in the cabin all weekend long. Definitely had that home vibe. The place was very clean and had every essentials that we needed. We can’t wait till our next trip!

Gorgeous views/underwhelming communication with owners

We thoroughly enjoyed the location, the views, and the peace and quiet. We were looking forward to the opportunity to unwind and recharge following a conference trip before we headed home. The owners have very clear and specific instructions about the use of their cabin and we certainly appreciated the detailed information even though the instructional tone bordered on overly negative. We were surprised to discover the oven was filthy & we would not use. The stairs to the sleeping area/loft are very challenging. Not only is there a variation in the depth of the steps after a small landing, the steps are highly varnished & very slick. Even while holding the railing and wall, I fell during our first morning resulting in a trip to the emergency room. The initial response from the owners was kind (we will pray for you...). However, at no other point did the owners check to see how I was doing, if we needed assistance, or if I was ok when we checked out of the cabin early due to my pain level. (Please note -- we were NOT requesting a refund for an early departure.) During our stay it rained heavily & the internet went out which we reported to the owners as the following restoration of the internet. The owner contacted us via voice mail two (2) minutes prior to arriving at the cabin with the internet company. A longer notice would have been helpful and appreciated. For us, the gorgeous views do not make up for the poor owner communication.

Beautiful views!

Beautiful views, nice and quiet, hot tub was very relaxing. Comfortable... loft os a little warm. Beds...not horrible. Most places we stay have a little coffee set up...so that would have been nice. We would stay here again.

Wonderful memories

This cabin was exactly what we expected. We were blown away by the views. The pictures don't do it justice. We saw so much wild life it was amazing. The cabin was very clean and well equipped. It was quiet even with other cabins around we had our privacy. We had absolutely no problems that needed to be addressed by property owner. We'd love to visit again one day.

Not what we expected.

We get to the cabin Monday around 3-4 it was a very nice cabin and the view was amazing but…it was 84 degrees in the cabin when we arrived the air was set on 74. So we decided to turn it off and back on then turn it down as low as it would go (67) and we left the cabin to go get some dinner in hopes it would be cooler when we returned. We got back around 9:30 and it was still 79 in the cabin it was hotter inside than outside. So I called the owner around 10 and they brought me fans She told me to contact her in the morning if the problem was still there. When we woke up the cabin was 70 we thought we fixed it so we didn’t say anything and went out for a day When we returned it was 80 in the cabin again so I called her around 5 she said maintenance was out & I apologized and said I should have called earlier but I really thought we had fixed the issue .She said they could be there at 12 the next day I told her that was fine. They arrived at 1 and checked maybe 2 out of all the vents in the cabin and duck taped the unit where they said a leak was We gave it about 3 hours and it was still 80 in the cabin. So I had one of the other guest staying with us call her because I hate to complain about anything it’s just not who I am. So he gave The owner a call and was just letting her know the issue wasn’t fixed and we tried to give it time but the owner didn’t seem to care at all & then proceeded to be very rude and extremely unprofessional and said that if she was a man he wouldn’t be talking to her that way. Nothing he said was out of line at all and I’d put that on anything. I even offered to talk to her if she had an issue with men and I asked her for a refund for 3 nights because she had known about the issue from day one.She got very mad and said 2 night refund for the nights you aren’t staying take it or leave it. So I called vrbo to file a complaint against her by the way she talked to us. There was no need for her to be so rude and disrespectful to us since her cabin had the issue she wouldn’t even come there and feel how hot it was for herself she just kept saying it’s fixed and it wasn’t. Im grateful we got a refund for the nights we didn’t stay but more should have been done especially with the way she spoke to us and acted as if we were lying & tryin to get a free vacation. Which wasn’t the case. I did have my 1 year old with us and he was miserable I should have left the 1st night but I was trying to give her time to fix the issues.
