"Love the fact it was a duplex with two kitchens. Each bedroom had their own bathroom. Need some TLC of minor fixes. We had a great time using this as base camp!"

"It was a wonderful place to stay nestled in the woods. We had a family from Berlin, Germany staying with my husband.and I! The children ages 9,11, and 14, We had access to the lake and water park across the street so that was a bonus! I do have a complaint about the kitchen, no paper towels, no dishcloths (the dishwasher was broken) and only 2 wine glasses! Also, there was a bit of coffee for us but you should have a Keurig coffee maker as well! We brought Keurig pods with us, and/or a bigger...

"This place is great. The cabin was clean and adorable and stocked more than i expected. The location on the beach gives and incredible view and you can watch the sunrise over the water from the porch. Will stay again "

"Our third yearly stay at the cabin. Recommend you try the Pond Mill Farms, Legs Inn, Good Heart General Store, and Trillium Woods Coffee shop. Cabin is always clean and comfortable, especially the evening fires in the stone wall fireplace. "

"It is always a pleasure staying at Lakeside. The lake was lovely and we were able to sneak a campfire in between the rain storms. Make sure to read the notes that Ritchie sends your way as it spells out exactly what you need to bring - trash bags, shampoo, etc. On VRBO, the pet fee was not very clear. It read as 25 per pet not per night, so that was a surprise as we stayed 2 nights. That may be because I booked via mobile, though, and it did not show correctly. I was unable to add a pet to my...

"Beach front cabin could not be beat for location and the cabin was clean and a great home base for all things Mackinaw city within walking distance, including the ferry to Mackinac Island. Beach is rocky in places, so be sure to bring some good water shoes! Access to the amenities of the nearby hotels was also a nice bonus, although some of the hotel facilities are a bit dated and have some deferred maintenance. "The hosts were so friendly and communicated so well. They left us the sweetest note. It was an amazing stay! "

"It was a bit tricky to find since it is hidden behind a hotel. Google maps took us to the right parking lot (Waterfront Inn) - just go all the way to the back. If you like the natural wood look, you will love this cabin. Just about perfect but missing some little details like wall hooks in bathroom/bedroom, a broom for sand on the porch, etc. Easy walk to Arnold ferry and downtown shops. "Great location, quiet, secluded cabin only a few minutes from town and beginning of the tunnel of trees. There is a good restaurant and a gas station 2 minutes away. Stocked with many extras like games and firewood. Beds were comfy. Communication with John was quick and clear. Excellent value for the price!"

"This will be our "Go To" place to stay in Mackinaw. By far the best place to stay if you like privacy, convenience and the perfect location. We slept 6 with no issues. Would be amazing for a couple. We will be back. "

"Secluded spot on family farm, perfect dipping spot on the bear river, is by a busy road, so not so quiet, bring ear plugs, water, firewood, canoe livery right across the road, fun river to drift"

"We had a great time! Location was convenient to both Mackinaw City and Cheboygan. Dog friendly with room to let them play and a great trail to walk. This is an eclectic place with pop culture Easter eggs sprinkled throughout.This was a comfortable place for a quiet weekend. "

"We had a great time here! Very quaint, clean, and picturesque! Karen communicated well and was friendly. We would definitely come back with the kids! This is a place for people who respect private property and nature; it is maintained well; and we hope to enjoy this place again in the future. "

"Very beautiful area, close to dark sky. Had all needed amenities. Close to Wilderness State Park, Mackinaw, etc. the only concern, some window screens were missing or had holes. They may have been stored away for the end of season. "

"Great location, price, pet friendly and response of host. Had a lot of room to move around. Our only downside was the shower pressure. It seems to still be a work in progress but overall they rocked it out for us. We are low key kinda people so overall give it a 4 out of 5 stars. "
