"It's a very simple building but still easy to get warm despite it being cold enough to snow overnight. The property was clean and tidy, and the choice of furniture and fittings was well thought out. It was easy to find and located at the front of the farm just off a quiet dirt track, it's like having the place to yourself, which is exactly what I wanted. I spent one of the days in the Cabin and walking to the state forest preserve without driving, but there are plenty of restaurants and grocery...

"This was our second stay at The Windmill. Love the solitude and quiet. The Windmill is the only house on a small country road that dead ends at ATV/hiking trails. We took our dog for a nice long walk every morning. Will most likely stay a third time."

"This perfect place complemented a perfect trip. We had 4 adults and 1 child - so had some bed sharing, however, it was all very comfortable, due to the spacious floor plan and two bathrooms. "Charm, town accessibility, COWS! We couldn’t have asked for better during our stay! First and foremost the hosts took it above and beyond when we anxiously called them after getting a “shelter in place” alert on our phones due to weather and tornado’s. Without question they helped us with a plan to get access to the basement if we needed to, which from the two anxious mom’s with littles in the house it couldn’t have been more reassuring. "Very quiet and relaxing. Beds were comfy and the decor was beautiful. Was a lovely wake up with visits from Stewart and Sloan for some friendly pets. "Booked for a girls weekend and it was perfect! The cabin is large! Enough space for big families. We didn’t end up taking out the canoes but we did enjoy the fire pit and afternoon lounging overlooking the water. So peaceful and truly relaxing. There’s a grocery store less than 10 minutes away. The kitchen was fully stocked with cookware and utensils and some spices. Love this because they usually aren’t and we always stay in and cook at these types of cabin rentals. It was a pleasant surprise!...
