Great family getaway

We have a big family and the house accommodated all of us comfortably. The house was clean. It is an older home that needs some touch up paint and the carpet on the 3rd floor stairs needs to be replaced. Despite the home's age and a few cosmetic things, she is a beautiful home! The kitchen was a perfect gathering spot with all the essentials. Comfy couches, lots of chairs to gather to visit and enjoy laughter. We didn't turn on the tv's but they were available. The hot tub was waiting on a part so it was not in working order but the TX August weather was so hot, I don't think we would have used it anyway. The pool was great and had shade in the mornings and evenings. The listing didn't explicitly say that one of the bedrooms is only accessible through a bedroom. We found out only after the booking was made. The listing also shows only one king bed when there are actually 3 king beds. Our hostess, Sylvia, met us at check-in. She was on time and very helpful, making sure we knew all about the house, where the thermostats were located, where light switches were located, how to lock and unlock the front door, etc. Our family had a good time. Overall a great experience!

A Must Stay!

We had an amazing stay. The house was everything that was described in the listing! Sylvia made the checking in and out process a breeze and was always prompt on answering any questions throughout our stay. The house was very roomy for the 3 families that occupied it!

South Texas Escape

We and our friends thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lake front house. The neighborhood was very peaceful and quiet. The backyard lake front was amazing with numerous interesting birds visiting daily. The house is spacious and well designed with a big kitchen and lots of room to enjoy the scenery and entertain friends. The house managers were readily available and helpful. If we ever return, we will certainly consider this house again.

Beautiful House

This beautiful home was a perfect fit for us. We had some family from out of state visiting and this home was able to accommodate all of us. There was 3 families of 5 staying. The pool's temperature was set in advance for us before we checked in, so we were able to use it right away. The point of contact Sylvia did a great job helping us with all the necessary details. We will definitely be back, we loved this home.

Took a short vacation to get away and relax with friends and absolutely have no regrets. The house was absolutely stunning actually even better than the pictures with great hospitality as far as greetings and check ins during the trip with COVID respectful rules👍. Overall would recommend this to anyone.

Great property!

Overall, great experience. We traveled to the Valley for my dad's funeral - they accommodated our last minute booking and made the check in process very easy. The property is as advertised - tons of great space - plenty of bedrooms/bathrooms - the pool table and spa/pool were an added bonus! My only "heads up" is that you will encounter some flies/bugs due to the proximity of the Resaca. The house has three levels, but really not an issue if you have someone in your group with mobility issues as there is a bedroom/bath on the first level.

Great for Birds!! And great for relaxing after the birding with more birds.

The property is great. The rooms are nice and can be quite separate so you can be alone or join in with others. The kitchen layout is fun and very socially set up! The pool is a perfect hot tub pool, you get heated up and then swim from one end to the other steps on both ends of the pool and the deep part is in the middle; it makes a perfect cool dip! The towels are thick the hairdryers are quality! If the reverse osmosis water system worked it would be absolutely perfect. It was a fabulous stay.

My family vacation

This property was beautiful!!!! It was enough space to accommodate all my family. Everything was wonderful yhe property manager was very helpful & communicate with us well. I was happy to get to meet the owner of the property as well during our stay. Everyone was nice & friendly during our stay. While out visiting the area a lady asked where we were from because she knew we were visitors due to the town being 1% black. We didnt take offense but it did explain the stairs so dont get offened if natives looking at you unusually. If i had to suggest anything i would suggest to increase the # of pillows on the bed to 4 per bed instead of 2 for your guest, i would also tell the guest to bring DVD's or an Amazon Firestick if you plan to watch TV because channels were limited... other than that everything was great!!! If we come back that way this will be our home to stay in during our Harlingen visit.
