  • BROWNSTOWN Lodge es un hotel de pesca privada y casa de campo en las orillas del mundo famosas aguas Bachforellen- y Pike Lough Carra en el Condado de Mayo, Irlanda. El albergue dispone de cuatro dormitorios, dos cuartos de baño con ducha y baño, amplio salón con cocina abierta, placa de inducción y chimenea. TV vía satélite, barra de sonido, conexión inalámbrica a Internet, lavadora y secadora, además de también ser contratados por una tarifa de servicios tales como servicios de hotel lancha, pescar y varillas y una sonda de profundidad vuelan.

    La ubicación única de la casa de campo, en esta tranquila campiña irlandesa, idílico, sin ruido y con vistas a las cristalinas aguas del Lough Carra son probablemente único para la recreación. Un pedazo de "Robinson Crusoe" sentir con las comodidades de una casa de clase alta.

    ENTORNO: en pocos minutos en coche se llega a la ciudad de Ballinrobe, que con su encanto irlandés y sus agradables pubs, las pintorescas tiendas y un gran supermercado es el punto de partida ideal para ir de compras y actividades nocturnas.

    PESCA: Lough Carra es uno de los más famosos de la piedra caliza Lagos Irlanda y conocido por su estilo de pesca Lough y por su buen volumen lucio y la perca. Por otra parte, también se puede llegar con sólo unos minutos de los grandes lagos del oeste de Irlanda: Lough Mask y Lough Corrib, que probablemente debería ser una palabra extranjera no hay pescadores. Aquí motor y remo los barcos se pueden alquilar por día. En comparación con nuestro "hogar Mater" Lough Carra estos lagos son, sin embargo, muy rocosa y no debe ser utilizado en una tormenta y el viento. Desde la casa de campo que llegue más famoso río de color salmón de Irlanda del río Moy en sólo 35 minutos.

    EXCURSIONES: Además de la pesca ideal, el Brownstown Lodge es la base ideal para excursiones de un día a Galway, Ashford Castle, Ballina, el Atlántico manera salvaje, Connemara, las playas blancas de la costa oeste o el hermoso condado de Donegal.     INSTRUCCIONES: El acceso a la Townlodge Brown de Dublín es de aproximadamente 2,5 - 3 horas y lleva principalmente sobre la carretera muy bien desarrollada a Galway. Del mismo modo Knock Aeropuerto podía volar, que se encuentran en solamente unos 52 kilómetros y 45 minutos en coche de la casa de campo.

Lodge idéal pour des pêcheurs, avec l'assistance éclairée et sympathique de Jim qui assure les conseils et aussi le guidage.La pêche sur les grands lacs reste difficile mais dans un cadre magnifique.Le lodge est propre spacieux et fonctionnel.Une seule remarque, le frigo est trop petit pour un séjour long et des bons mangeurs...

Beautiful home in a great location. Peaceful setting with great sightseeing destinations within an hour or two drive. Owner Thomas is very responsive and caretaker Jim are wonderful hosts.

Wonderful stay

a great house for a relaxing holiday in Ireland. The house is wonderful as a base for excursions in the northwest of Ireland. The house is equipped with everything you need, we got an apple-pie as a welcome-present and every question we had was answered. Would love to come back sometimes :) Thank you!

Ein absolutes Traumhaus in toller Landschaft!!!

Wir hatten sehr gutes Wetter, konnten sehr viel unternehmen, und im Haus hat es an nichts gefehlt. Wir haben uns einfach wohlgefühlt.

Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet was man so benötigt. Die Umgebung ist wunderbar ruhig und für jeden naturverbundenen Menschen ein Traum. Das angeln im direkt vor der Tür gelegenen See ist möglich und bringt gute Fänge. Der Gastgeber ist sehr hilfsbereit und wir möchte uns bei ihm bedanken für die wunderschöne Woche die wir in seinem Haus verbringen durften.

We loved it!

Everything was fantastic! It's aways nice when the place looks exactly like the photos. What we didn't expect was the the caretaker was so wonderfully responsible and helpful. We even got to sample his wife's rhubarb pie! I highly recommend Brownstone Lodge.

Wonderful

We absolutely loved Brownstone Lodge. Perfect location near Lough Carra in County Mayo. We were able to do some fishing when the weather allowed. The remoteness of the location was amazing, so quiet and so peaceful. And the lodge was well stocked, clean and spacious. We enjoyed the company of our caretakers and they made sure that we had everything that we needed. We had a lovely time and we cannot wait to come back!

A Piece of Irish Heaven

Brownstown Lodge is a wonderful place to enjoy the beauty and freshness of the Irish countryside. It is a short drive from the nearest town where you can get groceries and great food. We used the Lodge for our base camp from where we explored the beauty of north County Mayo. A great location for peace and relaxation. We felt at home at the Lodge. All the amenities that you need are supplied. Beautiful sunsets over Lough Carra. We plan to visit again.

Wunderbar gelegen. Absolut ruhig mit Blick auf den Lough Carra. Das leihbare Angelboot eignet sich perfekt zum Angeln auf dem See. Dringend empfehle ich die Möglichkeit eines Guidings zur Einweisung durch den Angelguide Jim anzufragen. Er ist super nett und hat viele hilfreiche Tipps. Von der Begrüßung mit Blumen und Kuchen über den gemütlichen Kamin, in dem ein Torffeuer zum einheizen gemacht werden kann, ist die Lodge einfach nur sehr zu empfehlen. Der Vermieter ist ebenfalls super hilfsbereit und antwortet immer sehr schnell, falls es Fragen gibt. Wir würden jederzeit gerne wieder kommen!

Perfect family holiday!

The lodge is just incredible! The lodge is situated in such a peaceful place, surrounded by cows, sheeps and lake. There is a picnic table outside, and we enjoyed diners outside while watching the birds. Inside the lodge,the living room is very spacious, the house is clean with all the necessities you need. We didn’t miss a thing! Jim and his wife, the neighbors next door were so welcoming, checking on us every other day, bringing crumble and flowers to welcome us. It was so good, we are even considering going back to Ireland next year! Thank you for making our family holiday so memorable!

Our second stay- Awesome as expected

Once again this year we had the privilege of spending 9 wonderful nights there. Everything is as described in the presentation, pictures absolutely reflect the complete house and property. Just like last year, we felt welcome and simply at home for the short time. The house is super well equipped, the kitchen has everything you need. Bathrooms are clean, beds comfortable and of good quality. The view of the lake is priceless. The contact with the landlord and the manager on site was friendly, discreet, fast and professional, just like last yearThe price-performance ratio is absolutely good.It was certainly not our last stay there.

Great stay at the Brownstown Lodge

We spent two lovely weeks at the Brownstown Lodge. The house is spacious and comfortable. It was a good base for our exploration of western Ireland. Thomas responded immediately to our texts. Jim and Mary were wonderful hosts. There was cake and a lovely bouquet of fresh flowers waiting for us upon arrival. Midway through our stay, Mary brought us a delicious homemade rhubarb crisp! We loved the peaceful country setting. We are in a hotel now in Dublin. . .missing the comforts of the Brownstown Lodge!

Alles bestens

Es gibt nichts negatives über das Haus oder die Einrichtung zu sagen. Der Kontakt mit dem Vermieter lief unproblematisch und schnell. Das Wetter, selbst Ende Oktober war perfekt. Über die Fische im See kann ich nichts sagen da ich weder das Boot noch Angeln benutzt habe da dies nicht in meinem Interessensbereich liegt. Somit voll zu empfehlen

Perfect Family Getaway

We had the most wonderful stay at Brownstown Lodge. We were a family of 7 adults and this was our first trip to Ireland. We wanted a home base to make day trips from and Brownstown Lodge was absolutely perfect for us! the house is lovely, the property so peaceful, the view perfection. The house lends itself to privacy if you want it and togetherness when you want that. We would absolutely stay here again. Thomas was so helpful with information prior to our arrival. The house was spotless, the beds perfectly comfortable. We were able to enjoy a family meals together and conversation around the fireplace. I can't recommend this home enough. It was exactly what we were looking for. Thank you so much, Thomas, for making our first visit to Ireland so wonderful. We will be back.

Vielen lieben Dank für zwei wunderschöne, erholsame Wochen für die ganze Familie. In der Brownston Lodge ist wirklich alles da was man braucht. Mit Kuchen und Blumen begrüßt zu werden war noch das i-Tüpfelchen. Das Haus ist wunderbar ruhig gelegen, umringt von Schafen und Kühen mit Blick auf den Lough Carra. Wer die Natur und die Ruhe liebt und nachts den schönsten Sternenhimmel sehen möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Vom Angebot des Angelboots haben wir keinen Gebrauch gemacht, da wir keine Angler sind.Jim ist fantastisch und stand uns immer sehr gut mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Der Vermieter hat an alles gedacht, die vorab Informationen sind so ausführlich, dass so gut wie keine Fragen offen bleiben. Er ist außerdem super hilfsbereit und antwortet immer sehr schnell. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

A Remote Oasis

First of all, the lodge is exactly as portrayed in the pictures. We absolutely loved our 8 day stay in in this remote and quiet countryside. Lough Carra was beautiful, and we had sheep out front and dairy cows in the back. Beautifully landscaped as well. The caretakers, Jim and Mary were exceptional. We chose this place because we waned private and and countryside. We got it. It was the perfect base for our wanderings in Co. Mayo, Co. Galway and Connemara. My only sugesstion is for clearer driving directions. We would not have found it if not for Padrick, who escorted us there. The house was also stocked with essentials, and Mary baked us a welcome pie. There are two grocery stores in Ballinrobe for those who wish to prepare their own meals. We would definitely stay here again.

Heaven on earth

If you are looking to get away from it all, noise, traffic every day city life this is a must place to stay. It’s situated off the road and every morning you can sit out front with your cup of coffee or hot tea and listen to the birds and the absolute silence around you. Now we had our own car and being from the US we had to drive on a different side of the street but that being said it wasn’t all that difficult. My husband was a pro. There were so many cool things to do within two hours of where we were at most places were within 30 to 40 minutes And it was amazing. Jim the caretaker he was so helpful and patient and had so much knowledge of the area he was a joy. Even when I had to email the owner, he always responded so quickly and graciously because I’m sure some of my questions were a little silly that he always was there to help me within moments of my text/email. For me, my absolute favorite part was every night of the three weeks we were there the sunset over the lake was absolutely breathtaking.

Sagenhaft gemütliches, sauberes Haus in ruhiger Lage

Bei unserer Ankunft konnten wir das Haus zu erst ein wenig für uns erkunden, da Check In über die Schlüsselbox erfolgte. Was für uns unglaublich angenehm war. Jim, der „Verwalter“ vor Ort stellte sich später kurz vor. Sehr diskret, nicht aufdringlich und sehr freundlich. Das Haus begrüßte uns bereits wohlig warm vorgeheizt mit einem selbst gebackenen Kuchen. Vielen Dank hierfür :) Da wir über Weihnachten blieben, wurde sogar der Wohnbereich geschmückt. Das Haus ist einfach super ausgestattet, sehr sauber und es ist einfach gemütlich. Wir fanden alles und noch mehr was man zum wirklich alltäglichen Leben benötigt. Wir konnten über Weihnachten unser Weihnachtsfestessen dort problemlos zubereiten. Wäsche waschen und trocknen kein Problem, es ist für alles gesorgt. Hervorheben möchte ich die absolute Sauberkeit des Hauses. Der Wohnbereich ist einfach gemütlich, die Couch ist bequem und der TV spricht für sich. Das Haus liegt ruhig und abgelegen und hat einen wunderschönen Blick auf den See und man ist dennoch relativ gut zentral für Ausflüge etc. die Betten sind ebenso super bequem. TV im oberen Schlafzimmer war eine positive Überraschung. Die Badezimmer sind sauber und schön angenehm groß. Es war ein super Aufenthalt und wir werden zu 100% wieder kommen. Danke das wir Gäste sein durften.

Unvergesslicher Aufenthalt in einer traumhaften Lodge

Selten schreibe ich Bewertungen, aber hier auf jeden Fall. Schon auf der Internetseite habe ich mich ein bisschen in das wunderschöne Häuschen verguckt- eigentlich zu groß für 2 Personen. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter im Vorfeld war super freundlich, die Wegbeschreibung und die Infos zum Haus und der Umgebung mit Tipps für Ausflüge, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurants etc. sehr ausführlich und hilfreich. Unsere Erwartungen wurden definitiv übertroffen. Bei der Ankunft erwartete uns ein herzliches Willkommen in Form von frischen Blumen auf dem Tisch plus einem Apfelkuchen.Das Verwalterehepaar Mary und Jim begrüßte uns kurz nach unserer Ankunft persönlich. Das Haus samt Einrichtung ist wunderschön, extrem sauber, hell und mit viel Liebe und Geschmack eingerichtet. Es fehlte an nichts, von der Nespressomaschine über Gewürze, Toilettenpapier, Waschmittel, Haarfön etc....an alles wurde gedacht. Es gibt ausreichend Platz, vor allem das Zimmer im Obergeschoss ist riesig und super schön. Die Lage absolut traumhaft, im Grünen mit Blick auf den See, ruhig und malerisch. Idealer Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge mit dem Auto. Wir haben eine sehr entspannte Woche verbracht. Jim, den Verwalter, haben wir sehr ins Herz geschlossen und seine irische Freundlichkeit und Offenheit beim Tee trinken kennenlernen dürfen. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen, so ein schönes Haus und können die Brownstown Lodge nur weiterempfehlen.

Toller Familienurlaub

Super Haus in super Lage. Bei Anreise fanden wir leckeren Apfelkuchen und ein frischen Blumenstrauß vor. Das Haus ist super ausgestattet. Die Betreuung durch Jim vor Ort war top. Tolle Einweisung ins Boot und in den See. Alles in allem ein super Urlaub. Wir kommen wieder.
