"We’ve stayed at this hotel about two years ago then we stayed in one of the roof top airstreamers this time we booked a larger room with king size bed. The room was smaller than advertised with a cramped bathroom. This said this is a great location near bokap and waterfront at a great price. "

"We absolutely loved our time at the Trade. The rooms were adorable and fully equipped with everything you could ever need. The staff were lovely and accommodating and the area was so lively and vibrant. The street gets a bit loud as there are a few bars across the street so definitely be prepared; bring ear plugs and ask for a quieter room on weekends if you’re a light sleeper. All in all 10/10. We wish we had a Trade in our city! "

"Just a lovely place to stay. My only complaint was that the food menu was very limited, especially since I didn’t want a 6 course meal. Options were limited and cobbled together 2 appetizers as a meal. Otherwise, it was a very nice experience. "

"Can’t recommend this hotel enough. We had such a lovely stay. The rooms were huge and the balcony was a huge added plus. Everyone working there was so friendly and went out of their way to help us. The location is beyond perfect- it’s super safe and walkable to the V&A and Oranjezicht market. Some reviewers negatively compared it to the neighboring Queen Victoria hotel, but we actually preferred how close the Dockhouse is to the pool area. We’ll definitely stay again on our next trip to Cape...

"The place was awesome..It's more or less a brothel..What a fellow does is lounge around at the first floor bar and wait for the right lady to have seat next to him and converse.Soon the negotiations begin with the bedroom services desired and what it's gonna cost him.I was there four days and four nights and enjoyed carnal knowledge with ten different South African women both Black and White.Hope I didn't catch anything LOL!"

"This hotel truly surprised me! I stayed there twice, and on both occasions, I was very well taken care of by the entire staff. Everyone is very helpful and polite, and I want to give a special thanks to all of them! They made my stay very enjoyable. "Purely a gem. I was concerned about staying in a hotel in the Bo Kaap area. Everything was terrific beginning with the staff that couldn’t do enough for us, the room was large and very clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable as well. The area was quite convenient for restaurants and activities. The area was quite safe for Cape Town. Breakfast was yummy. There’s also a shuttle to the V&A waterfront. We will be back soon!"
