The Resting Place.

The Resting Place is a quaint cabin located on the bank of beautiful Silver Creek located in rural Southeastern Oklahoma. It is a three bedroom cabin with an open design and rustic feel. Our guests love to set on the porch overlooking the creek and enjoy natures beauty and hear the many sounds of the creek. Beavers Bend State Park and Broken Bow Lake is approximately 25 miles away and is a great place to have recreational fun with the family.

Family Trip

This was a great place for our stay. If you can handle cabin camping this place is perfect, plus a little more modernization. If you’re looking for a getaway that’s away from town, quiet and want to just spend some time with your people and enjoy the simple things in life this is it! We were sad to leave but will look it up again if we head back that way!

Great weekend

We enjoyed our stay. There were 8 of us and we had plenty of room. We had a flat tire on the way to the house which included a few issues. This put us arriving pretty late, and not knowing the area, this complicated our arrival. I called the owner after 10pm, and he was absolutely fantastic with directing us. Beautiful house on the creek. Truly recommend! Would love to return!

Weekend Trip

Nice house for our weekend trip and a good spot for what we had planned but a ways from Hochatown. Lofts are nice, bathroom is small and not a good outdoor area to grill after dark (burn ban so we could not use the grill anyway)

Average one

Rest room is toooooo small and the size not at all comfortable even for a lean person like me. There is no wifi which is not mentioned in the listing. AC is not centralized. There is only one AC in the living room and so it takes a lot of time for the cooling effect to come to the bed rooms which is a big minus during this hot season. Property owner/manager is so kind and he took us to the property when Apple/Google maps couldn't find the location. Need to travel around 45 minutes to go to the nearest McD, Pizza Hut, Walmart. Property is in a remote location which is calm and nice.

Far from Broken bow

Far from the city and no communication, i can live without internet but no cell phone reception. Saw wild boar and snakes around. Safety concerns. Single small bathroom for 10 bed ?

A much needed getaway and breath of fresh air

When we arrived, the creek caught all of our eyes and we were so excited to see how close it was. We climbed down into the creek and let the cool water cool us off. Inside, a beautiful rustic feel with a full kitchen (that we utilized all weekend!) and nice, cold AC. We will definitely be back!!! Thank you so much!!

Loved this place!!

The Resting Place is exactly that! Peaceful and quite with the sounds of a creek right off the back door. We really enjoyed our stay. The place was very clean, and had everything we needed. It was nice to be without phone service and spend time with family. We will stay here again!!

Unplug and Family bonding

We really enjoyed the Resting place. Out of the way and peaceful place. There were bugs but honestly we were in the woods what did we expect. There was no wifi and my daughter didn’t get service on her phone (T-Mobile) but my husband and I did (sprint network.) if you have DVDs bring ‘em there were a couple movies to watch but we didn’t spent a lot of time inside so that was fine. The TV was quite and small but did not take away from the experience. The place was clean and nicely set up. The creek and the fire pit were our favorites. Check in and out we’re easy and the owners are very hospitable. If you are coming from DFW area the GPS directions were good to the listing. We did travel about 20 miles on dirt roads to get there. This is about 30 Miles from broken bow.

Place in the woods

This cabin is out a ways with only a few houses and other buildings in the area. The home had 5 beds and the heat kept the place a comfy temperature. It is out in the woods to be ready for bugs/animals around. No paper products could be flushed down the toilet. TV only played DVDs and did not have a very loud volume.

Autumn Adventure

Fantastic cabin, has everything you need, very clean and cozy. Location of cabin is beautiful. We would definitely come back and will tell friends and family about this little gem in the woods.

Not a happy resting place

The cabin was listed as being in broken bow and it was not, it was really far out. We had other family staying at broken bow and Ringold and this was to far from them. There were bugs all over the cabinet at night and the toilet broke and kept running and we had to repair the toilet to use it. TV to small and would not turn on so we were not able to watch. This was not a good experience for us. My son is in the military and flew in from California and this was his first time at a cabin and it was not a pleasant one. If I could have canceled and got my money back I would have. This was a waste of money and I am going to try and book again somewhere else.

The cabin was gorgeous and in a beautiful location. However, there were roaches, of some kind, so I had to keep all food that was not absolutely resealable in the fridge. Besides being paranoid about keeping our food up it was a great stay.

Wonderful stay

If you want a quiet cabin in the woods, this is your place. You definitely have to watch for wildlife so be prepared. A group of us stayed and had a great time. Make sure you make your grocery run before getting to the cabin as it is a 45 minute drive to walmart. However there are small grocery stores along the way. Check in and checkout was very easy. Thank you

Un lugar de tranquilidad !

Totalmente complacidos, la cabaña está muy acogedora, el patio muy grande para poder jugar, correr y el arroyo es el toque final para garantizar una estadía más que perfecta ! Definitivamente volveríamos a rentar este hermoso lugar .

Misinformation

The house is super cute and clean. Bathroom is extremely tiny. And it is actually 35miles from broken bow and 25 from hochatown. A little to far away from everything. But the cabin is on an awesome creek that the kids loves to play in.

Ok they didn’t have cabin ready so the pipes was busted we couldn’t found a place to stay until 8 pm

We had to drive around around an make phone calls for 4 hours for Friday night an Saturday night there was no place to stay in broken bow we had to short our vacation !!!! Very sad it was a birthday celebration. I
