The Space:

Petama by Tiny Away is located in rural Calvert, just an hour from Brisbane. Surrounded by the sights and sounds of a working horse property, this peaceful farm stay invites you to wander the paddocks to a hidden dam, spot native birds, or gather around the firepit under open skies.



Between two towering gum trees, our tiny homes offer sweeping paddock views reaching distant mountain ranges. Watch thoroughbreds graze during downtime or explore attractions like Ipswich Nature Centre, Toowoomba Golf Club, and Lockyer National Park.



This 139-square-foot pet-friendly tiny home features easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and and gas-heated shower—making it a perfect choice among relaxing holiday homes.



Guest Access:

Guests have access to the tiny home, its private lawn, and the garden area behind it. You're welcome to explore the open space on the eastern side of the property, including the round yard, arena, and sheds.



Restricted Areas: Our private home, fenced backyard, sheds, vehicles, other paddocks, or any areas with farm machinery



Pre-orders available with 24 hrs' notice:



- We offer "Free Stays for Guests’ Horses", accommodating up to two horses per booking, with a paddock and stable provided.

- Horse lessons or trail rides are available for an extra fee, depending on the service. Guests are welcome to pat and interact with the horses, but only when a host is present.

By Public Transport:

- Train: Trains run from Brisbane to Rosewood, where you can transfer to a bus that stops at Calvert Station Road, just 800 meters from the property.

- Taxi: A taxi service from Laidley, located 18 km away, is available and can bring you directly here.



By Flight:



- Nearest Airport: Brisbane Airport (BNE) is the closest major airport, located 83 km away, about a 1-hour drive to the property.

- Domestic and International Connections: Brisbane Airport offers frequent domestic and international flights, making it convenient for travelers arriving from both within Australia and abroad.



Other Things to Note:

- Gas BBQ grill is available

- Filtered rainwater is available

- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed

- We are a working farm, so expect some animal noise

- Mobile reception is good for all Telco lines; other lines are weak

- Please expect limited connectivity as the tiny house is set in a rural locality

- Make sure to turn off the lights, AC, electronics, close windows and doors when leaving

- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge

- Pets are allowed by 24 hrs prior notice, and must be on leash at all times. The full policy will be sent before arrival.

- Please do not wander beyond the designated areas without checking with the hosts first

- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present in the surrounding areas

- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain our cassette toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
