"As the description says, it is a unique place. Since this is a former business and the accommodations are set up in there, you don't get a full kitchen, just a coffee maker and toaster oven. It didn't bother us at all, since we weren't going to cook anyway. The aquarium with the fish is gorgeous. Slightly noisy, since the pump has to be running constantly. Not ideal for light sleepers, but it can be fixed with some ear plugs. The location is right across the river, and everything is roughly...

"The property was great! The house was beautiful and extremely clean.The check in was easy. It was very close to downtown New Bern. We especially enjoyed the sunsets. We used the screened in porch everyday. The kitchen was well stocked and contained everything that we needed. We liked everything about this house and would certainly recommend it."

"We had the best stay! Clean and plenty of room for 2-4 people. The beds downstairs were so comfortable (we didn’t use the loft). It had everything we needed; towels, bedsheets, toilet paper, etc. which made our travels easy. It is conveniently located to Havelock, Morehead City, and Newport. "

"We are moving away from NC and needed two nights in New Bern to complete closing. We absolutely LOVED that our last two nights were at this property. It’s clean, cozy, and in such a great location! We highly recommend a stay here!"

"We had a wonderful time visiting New Bern and staying at this apartment. Ideally located in Historic Downtown, we left the car parked and walked everywhere with our dog. We knew that the apartment was pet friendly, but the entire downtown area welcomed us and our fur baby girl. We were allowed to take her into a handful of shops and there were several restaurants or eateries that provided outdoor seating. We were surprised to see that two restaurants we visited offered a four-legged guest menu...

"Although there was an issue getting in the front door, the host was super-responsive and helped us get in quickly m the house was clean, comfortable, and had lots of great activities to do right there in the home. I would definitely stay there again!"

"I did not end up staying in the cabin (with a friend down the road instead) but Jeff was a great host! Allowed us to use the dock and kayaks and was super welcoming! Highly recommend!"
