"Our stay at Hotel Ungheria was great! Good room with airco, facilities, great breakfast and excellent helpfull service throughout. A spotless and very well run family hotel. Varese itself is lovely, as well as centrally located, especially if you like to travel by public transport. Milan, Como, Lugano and more are nearby, including Lake Varese (cycle lane around it), Villa Panza and Sacro Monte. Fully recommended."

"Uber from Airport to Hotel was about 100 Euro so utilize the hotel shuttle. Shuttle is by reservation only and limited to 8 pax. Do message the hotel 72 hrs prior so you can get the latest instruction for catching the free shuttle."

"We had trouble getting early an early train for our early excursion the staff went out of there way to arrange transport for us. If we where stuck any where a call to them and they would pick us up Excellent service and good restaurant."

"Very convenient to travel from city center and go to MXP airport by train. If only they have refrigerator in the room. They are perfect for the price"

"The front desk staff was excellent. The location is excellent. My room had a fantastic view of the lake. There was a small metal sewing pin in the middle of the counter of my bathroom when I arrived. This made me think perhaps the cleaners didn’t do the most thorough job. There was also a stain on the carpet in the middle of the lobby. Bottom line: You get what you pay for. If you want a cheap hotel with nice staff and a great location, stay here.
