Location isn't everything

Although the location was fabulous the lack of attention to detail out weighs it. This condo could be wonderful but cheap appliances, mildew in the tub surround, no secure internet, only 1 tv working part of the time and the list could go on. Disappointing

Family/friends ski trip

Location of the property was amazing. We could walk to restaurants and ski lifts in just steps. Easily got to ski rental location across the street right next to the lift (2 minute walk from condo). The ski rental let us store our snow boots there for free while we skied and we could leave our ski equipment over night and pick up the next morning. This was great not having to take all our equipment back to the condo and having to lug it back the next day. Condo was clean and spacious for the 2 families that stayed. Plenty of towels, extra blankets and pillows if needed. Plenty of dish soup, trash bags and having the laundry washer and dryer was great. If you are wanting to have a prefect location for easy access to a lift with little stress this is a great condo for you. One complaint - we are a group that gets up early, eats a big breakfast, skis all day and comes home for a nice cooked meal. The stove is dated and the pots and pans need to be replaced. Cooking in the kitchen for 2 families was difficult due to the equipment provided. Most of the pans are over used and burn your food. The stovetop eyes (where you place your pan to get hot) are uneven so when trying to cook food in a pan the food ends up on one side of the pan cooking food unevenly. One of four the eyes doesn’t work. It was a great trip! Skiing was perfect and the location where we stayed was wonderful! We plan to go van to Breckenridge next year!

Perfect location

This apartment suited are needs very well. It’s right across the street from the Snowflake lift and you can ski right to the back stairs of the unit. The unit was fully stocked and comfortable. We had a little trouble with the wifi and 1 toilet but the management company was able to get it fixed.

Meh

Moral of the story: if you’re looking for a place *just* ski and sleep- then this is your place. It’s like a frat house: plenty of beds that are decent to sleep on. It’s like a time capsule: the crockpot and iron (and most other small appliances) are probably older than i am. I think the spiders that have made webs all around have lived there just as long. It’s just plain dirty. As a VRBO owner, it’s just the small details that could make the place really enjoyable… starting with the basics: DEEP CLEAN REGULARLY and replace all the things that are broke. Blinds are broken. I had to plunge the toliets twice. Call the property manager to fix the livingroom fireplace and replace the batteries in the carbon monoxide detector. Speaking of: there’s something so hot on the living room wall- it melted my purse. I think it’s the internet router. The TVS are ridiculously old (another easy upgrade). And the ice maker just produces a full container of one big block of Ice. Knobs are missing on the crockpot and the stove. There wasn’t any reusable bags for us to use (Colorado requires them). No Tupperware to store leftovers. And the knives haven’t been sharpened since they bought the crockpot. There was a whole TWO board games in the whole place and all of the supplies are used up and still just stored in the boxes (can ya at least throw out the trash). Pens that are stored with the games no longer work. I went through the condo and found other peoples clothes, empty laundry containers, empty kitchen supplies. But at least the heaters work and you are really close to the snowflake lift. It’s sad really, that this place with a little attention could be really nice.

Overall it served our needs but, I would probably not stay here again. There were plenty of beds for all of us (and more) however, the beds in the loft are mattresses on the floor. Which is fine for kids but not adults. We ran out of hot water after the second person so the remaining three had cold showers. The location is great - ski in but not ski out. You have to walk about 200 feet to the snowflake chair lift, which is super close, but when lugging all your ski gear and high altitude it's a pain. The directions to the unit could use more description (second floor etc.) but easy enough to find. The hot tub is a communal one and not worth going to. We could not get the main fireplace to work. I called and someone walked me through it but still didn't work. They gave me the impression that I was bothering them so I did not call back. There were no check-out instruction, even though the welcome email indicated there were. I emailed them and still haven't heard back.

Not skier friendly. 2 long, slippery flights of stairs for condo. It was not very clean, one knob from stove missing, underwear in drawers, kettle full of old water, less than minimum cleaning supplies. Management was slow on responding and not very helpful. Hot tub is not on property, it's a long walk from condo. For the price We expected more. Heater.in room downstairs not working or.upstairs.fireplace.

Location ski in is great, close to Main Street, nice and cozy accommodation,

We enjoyed staying at lodge 28, it’s become a nice getaway with a great comfy coach and a warm fire place. Though there were few things that effected the whole impression, a dirty freezer and a fridge and a cook and an oven. We also experienced shortages of sauce pans and pans need to be replaced though dish set and variety of mugs and glasses were a bonus)) In a nutshell we did like staying there hope to be back next time.

Great Location and Flexible Space

Summit Vacations we’re great to communicate with on any needs. Location was right off of 4 O’Clock ski trail and a short walk to the Snowflake lift. Rental was stocked pretty well with linens, appliances and glassware. Would stay here again.

Perfect place to stay for ski season

We had 7 in the condo. Everyone single person had there own bed except one couple who shared the king. The heaters and fire place worked perfectly. The balcony has a nice view right on the lower 4oclock run. We all skied for 3 days and was perfect. The snowflake lift is about 50-100 yards away from the door which is awesome no bus or driving needed to get on the mountain. And when we were hungry for lunch we literally skied the 4 o’clock trial right up to the stairs to get to our front door. I’d definitely stay here again

Super convenient stay

The description and pictures were very accurate.. It's so convenient to be able to rent equipment so close by and hop on/off lifts so easily. Place is well outfitted and lots of room for a family. Only negative is that there are a lot of steps -- so lugging bags up/down is some work. One recommendation for owner is to put together a "how to" for using the fireplaces -- we never could get the fireplace on the main level to work.

Cold Mountain Shack

A group of us stayed here for a close place to sleep by the resort, and we were very disappointed when we arrived. We walked in and it was freezing, so we we cranked the thermostats to 80 but the place would not warm up. We tried to use the 2 fireplaces, but BOTH wouldn’t work (even though the advertisement said they were operational). There was a small note on the table that said they were sorry about the fireplaces, but we didn’t know about it until we booked the place/ arrived for checkin. The bathrooms were not pictured (and for good reason) which was odd, but when we arrived we saw how outdated the bathroom appliances& showers were. The water pressure was horrible and the glass sliding doors barely worked to get in/out. The bedrooms and rest of the place were fine, but the kitchen appliances could use an update. Needless to say, between the place not getting above 60 degrees and the bathrooms/showers being prison-grade, we did not enjoy our stay. Highly recommend viewing before spending with no cancellation available.

Great location

Location is fantastic. Great spot on peak 8. 1 block from snowflake lift. Skied home. The bottom bedrooms had 1 king bed and 2 twins. The upper “loft” contained 4 beds which were quite tight. It was very tight quarters and the beds were not fit for adults. On our first day the hot water ran out after 4 people used the shower, this did not bode well, having 6+ adults staying in the location. Overall, the place is an older furnished spot with a smaller kitchen. I’m giving it 3 stars because the location is a fantastic ski on/off. Would not recommend staying with 6+ adults due to size of beds and lack of hot water availability.

Condo was right on the Four O’Clock run with super close walking distance to the Snowflake lift. Very convenient for walk-out/ski-in. Well appointed, but beds and pillows could be a bit more comfortable. Overall, a great stay.

On Four O'Clock Run and Easy Communication

Easy communication with staff. During the "bomb cyclone" that hit Denver, we were forced to change our flights. The staff allowed us to change our dates for free! We really appreciated that and allowed us not to alter our trip too much. You can literally ski up to the condo steps from 4 O'clock run. Easy 50 yard up-hill walk to snowflake lift. Great for small family. Would stay here again.

Great Ski Condo

The property is a short up hill walk to the lift and on the 4 O'clock To Town trail at the end of the day. The unit is well outfitted and I had a great stay.
