- Set within the grounds of Grade II-listed Garth House, on the fringes of the market town of Brampton, this delightful property offers a chic retreat for families and groups of friends planning Cumbrian adventures together. With both the North Pennines National Landscape and the Lake District National Park within 21.5 miles, outdoor enthusiasts are totally spoiled with dramatic walking trails, scenic cycle routes and plenty of opportunities for wildlife spotting. The host town of Brampton charms with its range of independent shops as well as restaurants, pubs and cafes for those nights you don’t fancy cooking. Head to Talkin Tarn Country Park (2.5 miles) for water sports and fishing at the lake or plan a more bustling day out with a trip to the city of Carlisle (9.5 miles). Plenty of local history awaits, with Hadrian’s Wall passing nearby – visit the Roman Army Museum or Great Chesters Fort (both within 13.5 miles).
Before stepping into this inviting country home, take a moment to admire its stone-built exterior and the vibrant touches of blue that add to its appeal. Head inside and find that the charm continues in the form of chic decor and luxury furnishings that set the scene for a memorable getaway together. Head straight to the lounge space after days spent out in the elements; sink into the soft seating, flick on the Smart TV and fire up the wood burner – perfect for cosy movie nights. When stomachs rumble, find that the country-chic kitchen boasts everything needed for cooking up holiday feasts, to be enjoyed in the elegantly styled dining room with an ornamental fireplace and plenty of natural light. A peaceful conservatory offers more space for the group to spread out, perhaps gathering for afternoon tea as you plan tomorrow’s itinerary. At the end of each busy day away, three restful bedrooms stand ready for undisturbed slumber, the first of which is on the ground floor: a super-king-size room with an en-suite shower room featuring a walk-in shower.
