"Convenient, friendly staff, comfortable bed"

"Run down hotel. Cracked walls. Unrefreshend smell to the room. Not worth 1/4 of the $$$ I paid. Getting out of the bathtub was a fall hazard. Shower pressure was low...on the ground floor I wonder what its like on the top floor. Very unpolite and discriminatory frontend staff. Had paid for a quadruple room but was given a lower occupancy room. The only positive thing was the comfy bed and having a roof over one's head."

"Great that there was free parking, staff were probably the friendliest I’ve ever seen. Rooms over the bar a bit noisy with music, doors banging ect but it does close at 12 so had a good nights sleep. Disappointed breakfast wasn’t provided but there was tea/coffee/ biscuits in the room."

"I booked the Royal Toby as a solo traveller. I was made so welcome by the reception staff. I was immediately put at ease. Nothing was too much trouble. My room was spacious and airy. Consisting of a double bed and a big single bed. Facilities were excellent with tea making facilities. And all amenities you would expect. The room was veryclean. Corridors and communal areas were also of a high standard. I had arranged to go out so did not use bar facilities or restaurant. But if the smell was...

"In general hotel out of date. No central heating. Electric heaters in the room. In a bath in 2 taps hot water - no cold 🙄😀There was at least 3 inches of dirt on the window ledges on the stars. Breakfast mini portions and one glass of juice. Max 1 star hotel. 1 star for clean room. Never again. "

"Well, I’m not sure what the standards should be? However, the rooms have dirty carpets it looks though coffee stains in the rooms and in the hall ways. The breakfast was okay. However, the dining is terrible. The staff could use some customer service training. I wouldn’t recommend this property. "

"Upon arrival the staff member told me that there wasn't any booking even when i showed him my phone with both confirmations from Expedia & the Hotel itself. We didn't get the room we booked. Shambles!!!!"

"Pillows were not comfy and lumpy. No monitoring of guests volumes when there were people running and yelling constantly up and down the corridors at midnight. Booked 2 rooms months and months ago and ended up on different floors and one being a disabled room where the bathroom was just a wet room so once you had a shower the whole floor remained soaked for the rest of the stay and we did not request not want a disabled room as we do not like wet rooms and avoid booking hotels with wet rooms."
