  • Cocoonr agency is offering for rent this charming 110 m² flat that can accommodate up to 4 travellers. Located on the 4ᵉ floor without lift of a stone building built in 1894, in a popular and lively area, the accommodation consists of a living room, a separate kitchen, two large bedrooms, two bathrooms and a 10 m² spinning balcony. Bed linen, towels and wifi included - we're waiting for you!

    The flat is composed as follows:
    - A large, light-filled living room with sofa, flat-screen TV and dining table
    - A separate fully-equipped kitchen: fridge, gas cooker, microwave and conventional oven, kettle, toaster, coffee machine, dishwasher, washing machine and a range of kitchen utensils
    - Two large bedrooms with double beds (140cm)
    - Each bedroom has its own bathroom with Italian-style shower or bathtub
    - Separate WC

    The flat is ideally located in the heart of Bordeaux, between the St Pierre and St Michel districts, with shops and restaurants nearby.

    Transport links :
    If you choose to come by car, you can park in the public pay car park "le Victor Hugo" 300m from the flat.

    Other transport links :
    - Place de Bourgogne" tram stop at the foot of the flat.
    - Self-service bike hire: Vcub station 50m away (https://www.vcub.fr/stations/plan) €1.60 for 24 hours.

    A little history!
    The Porte de Bourgogne is located at the end of the former Salinières moat, now the Cours Victor-Hugo (formerly the Rue des Fossés), on the site of the former medieval Porte des Salinières. It marks the official entrance to the town on the old road leading to Paris. Tourny wanted it to accompany the Place Royale (now the Place de la Bourse) and dedicated it to Prince Monseigneur the Duke of Burgundy on 24 January 1757.
    For a time, it was known as the Porte Napoléon to celebrate the Emperor's arrival in Bordeaux in 1808.

    Other comments:
    - Utilities are included in the rental price (water, electricity, internet). Please note, however, that a meter reading may be taken on arrival and departure.
    - An inventory of fixtures may also be carried out on arrival and departure.
    - In order to comply with legislation, all bookings of more than 30 nights will require the signature of a contract (mobility lease).
    - To do this, we will need a few additional items (identity card, insurance, supporting documents).
    - Unfortunately, we will not be able to give you access to the accommodation unless you sign a contract in due and proper form.
    - This does not affect the conditions agreed via our website or via the various rental platforms.

The apartment was great, very spacious. Felt safe walking the streets during the day however there was frequent police presence across the street due to drug activity. Despite this we were never approached or pestered by those involved. In fact they seemed respectful of tourists. Renters need to be aware of the 4 flights of stairs to get to the apartment. All said and done we would stay here again.

Horrible place. Mouse traps on every floor, bad odors, scratches on every walls, shabby and dirty armchair, stains on the counter. Disgusting and moreover, we didn’t feel safe at all in this neighborhood. We stayed one night only on a total of 3 reserved and we left the apartment soon in the morning to go somewhere else. There was no way we could have stayed there.

Le Victor Appartement superbement situé, à quelques pas des principales attractions de la ville. L’appartement est spacieux et sympathique. Un peu bruyant en soirée, surtout si l’ouverture des fenêtres est requise en raison de la chaleur. On recommande !

Le Victor El apartamento es cierto que está muy céntrico, pero son cuatro pisos muy altos sin ascensor. Eso no lo ponía. Había dos baños aceptables pero ninguno con WC. el WC. estaba aparte alejado e incómodo. La zona es céntrica pero con no es un parte buena de la ciudad. No hay buenos restaurantes, ni supermercados, solo tiendas cutres y personas de aspecto peligroso. Luego conocimos otras zonas mucho mejores para estar en Burdeos. Las dos camas son muy viejas y con malos colchones. El centro histórico de Burdeos no es una buena opción para alojarse.

Le Victor "Die Ferienwohnung Victor entsprecht exakt den Abbildungen bei Airbnb. Sie ist sehr geräumig, sehr gut ausgestattet und gewährt einen sehr schönen Blick auf die umgebende Stadtlandschaft bis zur Garonne. Die Lage ist hervorragend: keine 5 Gehminuten zur Pont St. Pierre und zur Garonne. Angrenzend ist das sehr liebenswerte und malerische Viertel St. Michel. Die unmittelbare Umgebung der Wohnung ist sehr bunt und lebhaft und noch nicht gentrifiziert. Fast alle Sehenswürdigkeiten von Bordeaux und alle interessanten Altstadtviertel sind bequem zu Fuß zu erreichen oder grenzen direkt an den Cours Victor Hugo an. Ein Straßenbahnknotenpunkt liegt unmittelbar vor der Haustür. Von dort kann der Flughafen ohne Umsteigen erreicht werden. Der Check-In verlief wie man sich ihn wünscht. Antoine begrüßte uns auf die Minute pünktlich, war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und gab uns zahlreiche, hilfreiche Tipps."

Le Victor "Wir wurden freundlich zu einer flexiblen Uhrzeit empfangen. Die Lage überzeugte durch die gute Erreichbarkeit und als praktischer Ausgangspunkt, um die Stadt zu erkunden. Das Apartment ist weitläufig und bietet auch beim Besuch mit 2 Paaren Privatsphäre, da die Zimmer weit auseinander liegen. Eines ist ruhig, während das zweite, das zur Straße rausgeht, leider extrem vom Lärm des Nachtlebens geprägt ist. Als Minuspunkte müssen wir außerdem anbringen, dass das Apartment nicht richtig sauber war (Fußnägel auf dem Teppich, Staub, dreckiges Geschirr). Im Hausflur und bei offenem Fenster riecht es darüber hinaus nach Fett und gebratenem Fleisch von dem Imbiss nebenan. Des Weiteren muss man sich bewusst sein, dass vor dem Haus Tag und Nacht Drogendealer stehen. Der Ausblick und die geschmackvolle Einrichtung haben uns aber trotzdem eine wunderbare Zeit ermöglicht! Das Sofa ist unglaublich bequem und super für Filmabende auf dem riesigen TV."

Central Location

Spacious apartment with a reasonably good fitout. Location of the apartment was in an area that seemed run down. However, close to the old town and the myriad of restaurants, bars and shops. Also, very close to the tram network. However, our trip was marred by a couple of key issues: 1) the apartment is located on the fourth floor with no lift. For travellers with luggage (like our group) or travelers with any sort of mobility issues, it is a very poor offering. The circular staircase is very difficult to haul furtniture up and down. Out group was relatively fit yet really struggled with climbing the stairs each day. Most annoying and frustrating was the fact that no mention of this is made on either the VRBO site or the company site which the apartment is rented out by (cocconr Bordeaux). I have also emailed them directly about this and have not yet heard back from them. 2) the VRBO site mentions two bathrooms. However, there was only one toilet. It is fair to expect (certainly from the many other properties we have stayed at on this trip and previously) that reference to a bathroom would mean that there is a toilet as part of that bathroom. Again, no specific reference that there was only one toilet in the apartment. It is misleading and quite frustrating.

Spacious and very comfortable appartment

Great views and location for old Bordeaux and for accessing the Arkea Arena (we were in Bordeaux mainly to attend a concert there). Great access to excellent tram and bus system for all Bordeaux activities. As well as walking distance to plentiful restaurants ,cafes and bars and many attractions. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and a wide open living and dining area is great. The climb up four flights of stairs is not ideal for the less able but does ensure Great views from the apartment terrace.

Un apt bien situé confortable mais bruyant, 4ème étage sans ascenseur

4 grandes étages à monter, une surprise pour nous meme si on adore les escaliers. L’agence aurait dû afficher cette donnée capitale aux locataires potentiels Bien que situé au 4ème avec haut plafond, le quartier est bruyant jusqu’à 2 h du matin. Entre avoir la fenêtre ouverte pour de l’air en été et entendre le bruit infernal de l’activité urbaine du quartier, ou dormir sans air mais dans le calme: a vous de choisir! Par ailleurs, on voit que l’apt a eu ses heures de gloire mais qu’avec le temps les verres à vins cassés ne sont pas replacés (on n’a eu que 2 verres de différentes tailles) le fauteuil avec coussin cassé et sale, une ouvre bouteille millesime début du 19 eme siècle…entre autres vieilleries A part cela, le quartier est central et commode, les lits confortables, les salles de bains modernes. A recommander mais avec les yeux grand ouverts
