Work & Play in our High Country Hideaway

You will absolutely love this warm, modern home in the woods. You will enjoy the home office, lightning fast internet and extensive TV choices, while relaxing at home. It is perfect for a family vacation to the mountains and convenient for business travelers. It is close to Appalachian State University, multiple parks, hiking, Rocky Knob for mountain biking, etc.

The upper level condo offers 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The first level bedroom has a set of bunk beds with a double bed on the bottom and a single bed on the top. There is a walk in shower and laundry facilities in the first level bathroom as well.

The loft bedroom has a stylish queen-sized bed and large walk in closets. There is an in-suite bathroom with a shower/tub combination. There is a modern desk and comfortable work chair with LG 24” monitor for your home office needs.

The kitchen has all the modern conveniences. It is set up with all that you will need for your stay, including basic hot breakfast items, a Keurig coffeemaker, as well as tea, sugar, and a wide array of spices.

The living room has a large flat screen TV with a Firestick and Alexa. Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Hulu with Live TV are available. The internet is very fast, 200 MBps.

The driveway is moderately steep. In the winter a four wheel drive vehicle would be ideal. Parking is allowed at the end of the street when the weather is icy/snowy.

*Note: on top of our usual thorough cleaning in between every group of guests, we are now disinfecting all frequently touched things such as light switches, door knobs, etc. We always wash all laundry between guests, clean all bathrooms with disinfectants, wipe down all kitchen areas with disinfectants, and vacuum and mop all floors. We strive to provide a clean and safe environment for all our guests. If you have any questions about our cleaning practices, feel free to reach out.

There are tenants in the condo below. Please be aware that noise after 11pm needs to be kept at a minimum.
No parties or large gatherings of any kind are allowed. This condo is in a family neighborhood and parties are not possible. There is one camera on the deck overlooking the driveway.

Comfy and spacious! We hosted Thanksgiving dinner for 8 and it was great! Location is close to town. Wooded lot allowed for deer sightings. I wish I had photos to share of the condo but do not. I have one of deer.

We appreciated the soaps and shampoos in the bathrooms as well as coffee and tea service in the kitchen. The kitchen was well stocked and everything was in working order. The place shows its age and could use some fresh paint. This place is a great location in Boone. We loved being in a heavily wooded area. The leaves were starting to change. It was quiet. We did have other guests staying in the downstairs unit, but we never heard them.

I had an amazing stay! The location is great. Close to Boone but it also feels like you are away from it all. It feels like you are up in the trees. I spent lots of time on the front porch. The place itself is clean and comfortable and has everything you need. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were clean and nicely decorated, I watched a movie on the couch, and the couch was very comfortable. The kitchen has every sort of appliance or spice you would need and they also had teabags and oatmeal packets, which was such a nice touch. The pots and pans were very new and clean, and I love the assortment of coffee mugs. I would highly recommend this beautiful place.

Overall, this was a great property with an amazing location. We loved being so close to Hatchet Coffee and Rocky Knob Park. It was a a little warm as the single unit struggled to cool the entire place, but to be fair, it was also unreasonably warm for the time of year. Thanks for having us!

Fit Our Needs Perfectly

My wife, her sister and I needed a place to stay visiting Boone for a mini family reunion of sorts. The place met our needs with much space and separate privacy for us. The kitchen was full size and more than enough for us. Honestly, we weren't there much except to sleep and have breakfast, so we didn't get to use the living room at all. The access is steep but having lived in Colorado and now with a steep driveway in South Carolina it is not an issue for us. I have a Nissan Rogue and there was plenty of room to park and turn around to drive down the driveway.Check-in was easy with the keypad lock. Everything was in great shape inside and out for us.Location gives quick access to town, shopping, eating out and gas.

Boone weekend getaway

Our stay in your home was relaxing and nice. The weather was cold and rainy so we ended up staying in and watching movies. We did get out to see the downtown area for a bit. The home was cozy and had all the basic things we needed for cooking. Hope to come back to the area soon.

Wonderful Stay

We had a lovely stay at this property. We were in town for our daughter’s December graduation from App State. The property was the perfect location and large enough for our family to be comfortable. We liked being able to eat our meals at the home and found the kitchen to be well equipped. We wish we had found this gem our daughter’s freshman year! We would have stayed often throughout her time at App State!!

Exploring Boone

We came to Boone to explore the university campus and attend the Saturday football game. The rental was perfect for our trip and found everything as expected. Our host was very responsive and helpful. We will definitely stay again when we are back in Boone.

Spacious and excellent location

Kitchen was well stocked. Nice having so much space in addition to roomy bedrooms and baths. Only downside was parking. With the extra room, we hoped to have family visit but we couldn't fit more than one car (glad our oldest didn't drive separately from college) and with two cars at the lower unit it was a little difficult to get out of the steep driveway. Not ideal but not a deal breaker! Had a great weekend that the owner helped us reschedule after Hurricane Helene affected our original trip. Very grateful for that!
