Gather in the great room with its stone fireplace and soaring ceiling, and enjoy a meal around the window-lined dining room table. Cooks will love the sunny, open, fully-equipped kitchen. After a meal, relax in the game room and wet bar with pool, ping pong, poker and Pacman. Don't forget to enjoy the Resort’s heated Olympic pool, gym, bar/lounge, and many outdoor and indoor tennis and pickleball courts! Finally, at the end of a long day of adventure, slip into the hot tub and listen to the wind in the rhododendrons or the crackle of the fire pit, before retiring to one of the house's spacious bedrooms, each with its own private bath.

ACCESS TO THE HOUSE:
Yonahlossee is an established community in Boone that prides itself on safe access to all homes - as a result, roads around the house are 100% paved, very well maintained, and snowplowed in a timely fashion. However, because it is a mountain home, some guests may find these and other roads in Boone steep, windy, and/or narrow. While we're very confident that you'll feel like a pro after driving them a couple times, to ensure guest safety and comfort across the board, **4WD/AWD are required between October-April** and recommended at other times of year.

The gated community of Yonahlossee's Racquet Club is a historically-significant tennis destination located less than 3/4mi from High Country Escape! Guests can enjoy full access to the 5 outdoor clay courts, 3 indoor hard courts, and 2 permanent pickleball courts, as well as to the club's heated Olympic indoor pool, fitness center, and bar/lounge. Individual ($10) and family ($25) passes allow guests to access the Club for the day. Court fees also apply to indoor/outdoor tennis and pickleball.

High Country Escape is a 4.5BR / 5.5BA three-level upscale home in the gated Yonahlossee mountain resort community. Yonahlossee directly borders Moses Cone Memorial Park's Rich Mountain Trail, only 5 miles from Boone and from Blowing Rock. Gated security, walking and hiking trails, picnic areas, indoor and outdoor tennis and pickleball, an indoor swimming pool with a tanning deck, and an indoor fitness center are all available for you to enjoy as a guest at High Country Escape!

Paved driveway and level parking, along with an attached 2-car garage with an EV charger, make access and parking for up to 4 vehicles easy. Three steps up and into the front door on the main level make entry easy as well. The main floor offers a great room with vaulted ceilings, a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace, a large HD Smart TV, and comfy leather furniture. The adjacent dining area provides a banquet-style high-top table that seats 8 to 9 guests, plus two bar stool seats at the kitchen bar top for a total of up to 11 dining seats. Additional folding tables and chairs are available. The kitchen features stainless appliances and granite countertops with ample cabinetry and supplies to prepare and serve meals to large groups. Outside of the great room and dining area is an expansive open-air rear deck with a gas grill, an outdoor dining table that seats 8 guests, and plenty of comfy outdoor lounge seating. There is also a wood-burning fire pit with more seating for those chilly nights. The canopy-level view of countless trees, coupled with the plentiful rhododendron forest below gives the house a secluded, cozy feel.

The primary master bedroom suite is on the main floor. It has a King bed, an HD Smart TV, and glass doors leading to a screened porch connecting to the deck. The master suite also provides a walk-in closet and a private ensuite master bathroom with his-and-hers vanity sinks, a make-up station, and a large custom tile walk-in thermostatic shower with multiple spray options.

The lower level features a large game room with a second fireplace, an HD Smart TV, a bar with a fridge, a pool table, a Multicade arcade machine, a poker table, a dartboard, and more! The adjacent den/office provides another cozy living area with comfy leather sofas, one of which opens to a Queen sleeper. This room has locking French doors for privacy and can also serve as a sleeping area. It also connects to a full bathroom with tub and shower. That bathroom is also accessible from the main hallway. There is a large covered deck off the game room with a step-down open-air hot tub platform. Finally, on the lower level is a huge bedroom suite with a King bed, Twin-over-Full bunk bed, HD Smart TV, and private ensuite full bathroom with a tub.

The upstairs features two more bedroom suites. A large King bedroom suite offers an HD Smart TV and sitting area, a walk-in closet, and a private ensuite full bathroom. The second upper-level suite provide a hotel-style room with two Queen beds, sitting area, HD Smart TV, and a full ensuite bathroom with a tub. In the closet of the double-Queen bedroom guests, will find helpful kid-friendly supplies: 2 pack-and-plays (1 with bassinet + changing table attachments), high chair, changing pad, baby monitor, baby gates, extra fans and oil heaters, extra card tables and folding chairs for larger feasts, toys and more.

Multi-zoned Central Heat and Air Conditioning ensure year-round comfort. High-speed 1 Gigabyte WiFi internet and 6 HD Smart TVs with digital cable programming keep guests tuned in and connected to the rest of the world. **This is our home and we love it. Guests will be asked to sign a Vacation Rental Agreement, and we ask that you please treat it as if it were your own.

**The house can accommodate a maximum of 4 cars. There is no street parking.

**Guests must follow safety guidelines (shared and posted) for usage of the hot tub and fire pit, and supervise all children at all times.

**Vehicle Power Requirements: To ensure guest safety and comfort, 4WD/AWD are required between the months of October-April, and recommended at other times of year.

**What are the roads like? The roads inside the Yonahlossee community are 100% paved and very well maintained. Due to its mountain location, however, some guests may find these and other roads in Boone steep, windy, and/or narrow. That said, after you have driven them a couple times we are confident you’ll feel like a pro! **Potential for Snowy Conditions: Winter in Boone is the best! Please remember that without 4WD/AWD a heavy snow event could leave you stranded until public roads outside are cleared (the Yonahlossee community roads are typically plowed quickly). Travel insurance is recommended since no refunds can be given for guests unable to reach the house due to storms or underpowered vehicles.
