The room overlooks the road past the station so became a bit noisy by early morning. It has decent blackout blinds, a comfy bed and a fridge with space in it.
The staff were fine to deal with in person and we could store our bags the next morning at the main Astoria hotel.
The whole experience is let down by the very inconvenient requirement to go to the main hotel to pickup keys. The point of choosing a location very near the station is convenience - but having to lug baggage back and forth to get the key undermines that completely. (Drop-off isn't needed, the key can be left in the room).
Worse is that the online check-in process, which they urge you to use, doesn't overcome that downside. For example, they don't send access to a keybox once you've checked in online - you still need to turn up at the main hotel in person. So it serves only them, not you, for you to use the online process.
Finally, the whole process was opaque because nobody replied to messages sent via hotels.com. eventually I had to go to their website to find a contact email address, which they answered.
