Coastal Dream is a darling cottage located in the quiet, quaint, and charming neighborhood of Carmet and with beautiful ocean views from the living room and deck! It has all new furnishings and is decorated in nautical and beachy themes! Just a short walk to two state beaches, Schoolhouse Beach, and Carmet Beach, where you can beach comb for shells, driftwood, sea glass, and all kinds of discoveries.

Coastal Dream has two bedrooms, each with comfy queen beds, plus a sofa sleeper, and a full bath, perfect for a party of five. The home also includes an inviting living/family room with an HDTV and a well-equipped kitchen. Outside, you'll find a nice wrap-around deck, a table/chair set with a market umbrella, and a gas grill. This is the perfect place to grill oysters and watches the colorful Pacific sunsets. The grounds are nicely landscaped and you'll enjoy a variety of wildlife that pass by daily. Get ready for a fantastic vacation when you book Coastal Dream today!

Our smart home technology will alert our team if excessive decibel or occupancy levels are detected, allowing us to reach out directly with a reminder of maximum occupancy and quiet hours. This technology is privacy compliant, and only monitors the presence of decibels and devices-not any personal conversation or information. Thank you for supporting our efforts to be good neighbors!

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Anniversary Vacation

The home is perfect for two. We brought our dog who enjoyed the place as well. We appreciated the gated in deck. The hot tub was relaxing. The ocean view from the deck was worth it. We could hear the waves. It is not a large place. I could see us bringing a coupke friendsbut honestly would orefer just the two of us in the size of the space. The kitchen was great. Not a lot of variety in cooking utensils...but we made it work. What's the only criticism. Would book again.

A Great getaway to the Ocean

Really enjoyed our stay. Clean, cozy cottage very close to the ocean and a few minutes driving from restaurants and Bodega Bay shops and marina. Multiple great beaches nearby...yes, we'd stay here again!

Not exactly as advertised

Overall our stay was nice however, the hot tub wasn’t working. The unit is quite small but the appeal of the hot tub convinced us to book. Also, there seem to be plumbing issues that were not mentioned in the listing but were mentioned once we checked in. Water backed up in the dishwasher and sink despite us following their instructions about how to avoid/troubleshoot this. We ended up not really being able to cook on our last night. Would definitely confirm with the owner that kitchen and hot tub are in working order before booking

Christmas in Bodega

My family and I all loved staying at this comfortable property. Cozy, clean and so near the beach and the town. We enjoyed the hot tub, played ping pong and darts too. We took a walk to a nearby beach and enjoyed going to Drakes and The Tides. This home was very comfortable for the four of us. Perfect size for us and we enjoyed watching movies on the tv, playing games and just being together laughing and enjoying one another in the beautiful setting. Thank you.

Location beats it all

Overall, we loved our stay. Gorgeous ocean views, hot tub on a lovely deck. Spacious kitchen and living room. Ease of beach access. Only a few cons: fridge had a small water leak, there was a pan with bread pieces on it left in the oven, surfaces were pretty dusty (hadn’t been wiped in awhile), there was a musty smell in most rooms and the plunger could use replacing as the toilet overflowed with minimal use. But again, minor things that didn’t detract from our overall stay. Would stay again!!

House smelled of mildew. Hot tub not fully functional. Black mold in bedroom closet.

1- Shower had a clogged shower head and low water pressure. house. 2- smelled like mildew as soon as we walked in the house. 3- back bedroom you couldn’t even sleep in there the smell was so strong ! 4- the hot tub a lot of things didn’t work in it.5- the gas grill didn’t work hardly at all , was low on propane.. debris behind couch very untidy.

Lovely location. The house definitely could use some love and maintenance. The hot tub did not work properly regardless of a maintenance person coming out. Bring a sponge if you want to wash dishes. Don’t forget your aluminum foil or plastic wrap like we did! Fortunately we remembered to bring paper towel and napkins. Would rent again! 3 stars for the trash issues and maintenance needed in the entire house.

While the toilet was clogged on arrival, and the hottub (the main feature I had hoped to enjoy) was not properly maintained (overchlorinated AND green), the property manager made efforts to fix both issues within a day. There were other little quirks with the property such as no lighter for the grill and a bathroom door that would only open from the outside that were funny. The kitchen was fabulous, the bedrooms were well appointed, the local beaches were gorgeous; we found the time very restful overall.

Great location and great property

This was the perfect spot for a quick getaway with friends. House is well-appointed and great for 2 couples. We loved the patio and hot tub too. Definitely walking distance to the beach and spectacular ocean views. Would definitely recommend and will be back!

Arrived to find inoperable dishwasher (leaking water on the floor) and disposal, no hot water and no response to complaints until the evening before before check out. A video was sent on how to reset the water heater. The location is awesome. Would return if they would be honest about these issues. Additionally, the contact information was outdated. The management we were directed to for problems hadn’t been affiliated with vrbo since last August!!

STAY AWAY! Disgusting house, no adherence to advertised covid protocols

VRBO has been valuable for our family during the pandemic, and we have never left any negative feedback for any stay. This was by far, the WORST experience we've had, due to Vacasa, who manages this property. The listing advertises the use of disinfectant on surfaces, especially those in high-touch areas, and that check in/check out are "contactless". We arrived after our check-in time, and the cleaning woman was still in the house. She told us that she was leaving momentarily, but remained in the house, unmasked, not following social distancing, for 20 minutes (this is in the midst of the Omicron surge in the Bay Area). She literally handed my wife the keys to the house, even though we made every polite attempt to let her know we did not feel comfortable. The rugs were not vacuumed (the cleaning woman said the vacuum was broken), and the floors were not mopped. All floors were sticky to the touch, and our feet were filthy from walking around about an hour after arriving. All surfaces were grimy and clearly hadn't been wiped down. This is a small space, and there was not the slightest smell of disinfectant. I had to specifically ask the cleaner to pick up popcorn all over the living room rug she planned on leaving (we have a dog who would eat it), but we still found some later (including popcorn in the utensil drawer and a partially eaten Oreo under the couch). There were no working lights in one of the bedrooms, and there were exposed wires and an overloaded outlet posing a fire hazard. The hot tub started leaking profusely immediately after being turned on. While we were assured someone would be there first thing next morning to fix that issue, they didn't show up until 2pm and informed me that it wouldn't be fixed during our stay. There were no cleaning materials at the house for us to use, and Vacasa would not send someone else to properly clean the house or come to the property to verify what we were describing (they offered to do so, but dropped the idea when I took them up on that offer). I contacted Vacasa within 10 minutes of the cleaning woman leaving, and followed up the next morning at 9:30, asking to receive a refund and leave immediately. Vacasa strung me along the entire day, and we left at 5:00 pm (2 days early) due to the conditions. I am still trying to work out proper compensation with Vacasa, who is making every effort to avoid responsibility. I wouldn't recommend this house or renting from Vacasa, in general.

Bodega Bay trip

We had a very good time, the home was easy to find, is small but comfortable, the beds were comfy, hot tub was relaxing, and beaches in close proximity are a big plus. It would be nice if house-keeping would leave additional paper towels and T-paper, and make sure there is enough laundry detergent.
