Take the short drive to spend an afternoon exploring Mercier Orchards, or take a ride on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway. In the summer, rent a kayak or canoe and spend a restful afternoon paddling the tranquil, crystal clear waters of Lake Blue Ridge, nine miles east.

Adorned with handsome knotty pine that stretches from the floorboards all the way up to the rafters, this charming log cabin enchants at every turn. Put together a home-cooked meal in the full kitchen, complete with all new appliances (as of December 2018) and a brand new mattress for the king bed, including a dishwasher and spacious kitchen island. Free WiFi keeps you connected to the outside world, and the private hot tub out on the deck is the perfect way to alleviate your stress while soaking up the gorgeous forest views.

Makes me wish it was my home!

This place is beautiful! It has that old school country home feel with a good touch of the modern comforts. I'll definitely be going back for a longer stay.

Best Kept Secret No Longer Safe!!

This place was awesomAMAZING! Those has great space and comfort. It was equipped with everything we needed. The jacuzzi was cold upon arrival and guest services was ready to come service it, but we figured it out. Upstairs is perfect space for kids too! The King bed was super comfy! We would absolutely return, thank you for allowing us to visit ❤️.. I'M TELLING EVERYONE LOL!

We really liked it but we rented this specific place because it had a hot tub. The hot tub didn't work and we called the guest services someone was to come and they never did nor did we receive a call back.

Clean and cute

The cabin was very clean and fully stocked. We had a wonderful stay. The only things I would recommend would be a mirror in the upstairs bathroom, maybe put one on the back of the bathroom door. The bathroom mirror downstairs could use an upgrade as well. Also, the queen mattress probably needs to be replaced upstairs. Overall I would definitely recommend this cabin. It was hands down the cleanest one I have ever been to.

Nice place

Was a nice place and we enjoyed our stay. If I were to make a few recommendations they would be 1) - first impressions count, with that said I would clean up/ paint the front porch deck and rails - weather worn, mildewed- 2) nice screened in porch but could use newer/ better furniture . 3) the rooms are rather dark could use more table lamps ( had to go to kitchen table to read a book ) 4) should have luggage trays in the bedrooms since there are not any dressers. 5) smelled pretty damp when we checked in. Great location and is close enough to town .

Peaceful time to Unplug!

Peaceful stay. We woke up and read was h morning on the screened in porch and it was raining! Super peaceful!! We also bought chicken eggs from a close neighbor, so that was fun having fresh eggs each morning. Close to cute Blue Ridge restaurants and shops. We ate at the Black Sheep twice - it was soooo good, and Chester’s once. Juliana’s was a great boutique that I found some great stuff! ❤️ Overall, wonderful stay. Could come back with the kids next time. The upstairs loft area was cute with 2 twin beds and a queen.

When we arrived, the hot tub was not working, the deck screening was broken and two of the lights in the back deck were not turning on. the roku remote for the living room area had dead batteries in it. when i called customer support, they said that there were spare batteries in the kitchen but there were no spare batteries in premises. there were cob webs in the ceiling and upper level. The did credit us a 90 fee but it made the trip less enjoyable and we probably won’t book again. i took videos of all evidence. Also, the check out ledger stated that check out was at 11am but they told us it was 10am.

Cottage is dark

We spent four nights and we did not realize from the description that the cottage was so dark. The walls are dark stained with very dull lighting. The water is not filtered at the house level; the water filter on the refrigerator was red - indicating it needs to be changed. Also the infloor electrical is covered by carpet; the plug is not cleanly revealed from the surrounding carpet, presenting a fire hazard. The dishwasher does not appear to have ever been cleaned. The stainless steel interior is dulled and gross looking. I used the hot wash and sanitizer functions on the dishes we used.

Do Better!!!

Fireplace didn’t work. Garbage disposal didn’t work Carpet was old and had bugs and never had been clean! The pots and pans were non stick and so burnt and scratched that I went bought my own!!! Hot tub was also dirty and apparently filters didn’t work and water got filthy. Have pictures if needed.

Nice cabin but

Overall the cabin was really nice and relaxing and away from everyone. I enjoyed the cabin, but I will say that the cabin is outdated. The countertop was not as clean as I would have liked it. There was a spill on the countertop from the coffee maker. The icemaker did not work. The jacuzzi is old and it did not look clean. I am not saying that it wasn't cleaned it just did not look clean. There was a dirty ring or stain around the jacuzzi tub. But the cabin was really nice just outdated. The sofa was so comfortable.

Nice clean cabin

We thought the cabin was very neat & clean. Kitchens and bathrooms very clean. Appliances looked brand new. The outside of cabin could use a little work, maybe paint deck flooring, but that wasn’t a big deal to us. We had no problem with driveway, but was a little scary the first time. Glad we were warned it was gravel and steep incline. We enjoyed our stay

Peaceful Getaway

My husband and myself had one of the most peaceful weekends. No noise, just nature and us. Cabin was very clean and very roomy and nice. I would recommend this cabin to anyone wanting a weekend of tranquility and peace!!!!

Nice escape

This cabin was very convenient to town. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. For what little time we spent at the cabin, it was perfect. The only thing I would add is the owner should put in a new shower head and leave more washcloths. Unlike other condos and cabins we’ve stayed at, this one provides paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher soap, sponges, salt & pepper, and coffee filters.

it is beautiful, and well kept. We had a minor issue with getting Netflix to work for the kids and they promptly fixed it! The driveway IS STEEP!!! Thank God my husband is a good driver lol -- One thing I would suggest is to update the shower head for bathroom upstairs! ;)
