"Very nice Victorian hotel just across from the train station. Highly recommend."

"For £94.50 a night this is a very basic hotel. Room and bed were large and clean, but very sparsely and cheaply furnished. There was a TV and 'fridge. Bathroom was very small, though clean. Amenities? I didn't notice any - no breakfast, no lounge or bar. The other clientele did not inspire one to expect a peaceful or indeed safe night's sleep; though in fairness I enjoyed quiet and restful nights. The hotel is well placed for Taunton station."

"Lovely hotel in the centre of Taunton - staff were really helpful and polite when we checked in. The room was clean, comfortable bed and clean bathroom with all the amenities - great water pressure in the shower! Also the room was very quiet for a Friday night so not a lot of outside noise can be heard. Breakfast was really good lots of choices, fresh food and cooked to order items. "Caro the host was lovely and friendly and very hospitable. The old Manor House is beautiful set in rolling countryside. The bedroom was large, beds were comfortable and good shower.
