"We hosted a family reunion! It was everything we hoped for! Kids loved the lake, boating and fishing! The accommodations were perfect! There was more than enough space for our large group cookouts, gathering on the decks to watch the sunsets, and storytelling in the living room space. Beverly is a great host! Communication A!!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us! It was our second reunion there and would highly recommend!!! "

"My stay here was great. They have large carts that help with bringing in belongings, and a Food Lion grocery store right across the parking lot to shop at. The kitchen could use some updated kitchen utensils and pots/pans but it was adequate to cook a few meals. My sofa was very uncomfortable because the cushions angled down a lot, but there was an armchair that was usable. The bed was a little softer than average and comfortable. I had internet issues (only in my room), and the staff went...

"Nothing is better than spending time with family! The pool and hot tub were awesome and we spent a lot of time there. Did I mention the pool is heated?! Lots of bed and bath space for us all. Had fun playing ping pong and other games. The kitchen is large and well equipped. This was a trip we will long remember! And Walmart will deliver!"

"Loved this old home. The owner has done a fantastic job renovating it. The house was very clean, plenty of towels, the kitchen is well-stocked. The location is good: only about 10 min drive to downtown, aquarium and ballpark. Rock City is only 20-25 min away. The house does sit on a busy street, but it was not bothersome to us (except for some anti-muffler cars!). There is ample off-street parking so that was nice. Felt safe in this house. We would definitely stay here again! "

"This particular area of Watts Bar Lake is probably the best view on the whole lake for sunsets. Aside from the views, the house is amazing with plenty of beds and bathrooms. We also made use of the boatlift, which is conveniently located in a community dock area below the house that’s easily accessible by golf cart. For those looking for hiking or running, there are plenty of roads and trails (just be aware, very hilly). "

"If you are looking for modern and new this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a spacious well loved home, you have found it. Everything was very clean! 4 bedrooms, 4 full bathrooms, 2 living rooms, a study, large dinning and furnish kitchen. The art decorating the home is beautiful and the view is stunning. Can you imagine having a private lake with your very own waterfall and path thur the woods. I highly recommend Montlake Retreat. "

"We were only here for 3 nights and it rained almost 1 whole day, we still had a great time. We brought our boat and the grandkids and they had a blast. The convince of having our own boat ramp and covered doc was amazing. The view from the property is incredible. Host was very timely in responding to messages and made our checkin process very easy. They say it was the best vacation ever!!!"

"This was a perfect location for our son's wedding at Mountain Heights Venue. I feel the pictures are deceiving as the place was a bit bigger than it looked in the pictures which was a very nice surprise. The outdoor areas were also a lovely touch. The extras provided (iron, steamer, clothes rack, treats, K-cups, shampoo, conditioner, plenty of towels and extra blankets etc) made it feel like a home away from home. "My husband and I always stay at a VRBO when we go out of town, and this was by far the best one we’ve stayed at. The cabin was super clean and had so much charm. We enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub each night. We were also able to back our 20ft bass boat under the carport, which was awesome! We will definitely be coming back!"
