Ideally situated one block to the beach & just down the road from the downtown shopping/restaurant district, Oak Shade is a meticulously maintained property within easy walking distance to historic downtown Ocean Springs, as well as beautiful Front Beach.

Newly renovated, Oak Shade is the perfect place for a romantic weekend getaway, as well as week-long vacations with friends and family.

Inside Oak Shade's The King Suite, you will find a firm, yet comfortable king-size bed with luxurious bedding, and bedside lamps with built-in USB phone charges. The full bath includes a marble soaking tub, and plush bathrobes are provided.

The King Suite's open floor plan features comfortable seating situated around a large flat-screen Smart TV with Roku, and natural lighting overlooking the courtyard. This space is perfect for reading a good book, and you can also enjoy complimentary coffee at the breakfast nook.

Other features include a Nest heating/cooling system, keyless electronic keypad entry to the Suite, one designated off-street parking space, mini-fridge, microwave, glassware, flatware, plates/bowls, cheese platter with knives, mugs, and drip coffee maker.

***Pets are allowed for a $150 non-refundable pet fee. Please select that you will be bringing a pet when making the reservation or we will need to send an additional payment request after booking***

***There should be no more than four people on the property unless prior permission is given. No events or parties of any kind. We have installed exterior security cameras for the safety of both guests and property outside of the home. There are no inside cameras.***

Great location! Walking distance to the beach and downtown. Accommodations felt updated and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Excellent communication from the host. Would stay here again.

The location to beach and downtown as well as the communications with the host were outstanding. The suite was not in great shape. I didnt read the post well, so for clarity there is no cooking facilities and the fridge is similar to a dorm fridge. We were staying for 10 days, it was tough to clean up dishes in the bathroom sink. The furniture was scuffed, it was very dirty (stains on bathroom floor, rugs stained, underbed was full of dust - identified while retrieving a shoe). The bed was foam, two pieces, base was about 6", top was another 2", but in two pieces, so had a gap. it was not a mattress. Bathroom linens were frayed, sheets basic thin material. Glasses were mismatched. Ice tray had holes so emptied into the freezer (learned the first time). The toilet seat was loose and broke fully during our stay, they "fixed" it but just a bigger screw and glue. The primary ceiling light in the BR didnt work - only the one over the mirror, which made bath area dark. Be aware, the tub is tall, so short or folks with leg issues can be challenged. You should also be aware (especially for long stays), there isnt a refill on supplies, so if anything empties you will need to purchase. I did notice this footnote before departure and asked them to add extra, and they were very accomodating. The bath soap was only about 1/4, and was gone through our stay. This is a prime spot and prices were prime, I expected the inside to match, and it didnt.

Staying at any of the Oak shade suites & house is always a good experience. Cleanliness of bathroom could’ve used some improvement. Not sure what was on the surface of the tub. Extra blanket had large burn hole. Replacing it would be good. I would definitely stay again. Very comfortable bed. Excellent location. Thank you so much.

This studio is in a prime location! We easily walked to Government and Washington streets for shopping and eating. So many fun places!! AND we walked to the beach. It’s a block away. The beach has chair rentals that Amare very cheap! The studio itself IWas perfect for just the two of us. So cozy and cute! The outside patio area was very relaxing as well. Loved our stay!

The location, booking, communication were all great. The description of the space was accurate. The problem was the cleanliness of the room and property. Also we needed more towels and the towels that were there smelled mildewed, like they had been left wet in the washer for too long.

Perfect Location!

We loved our stay at this property. The location was absolutely perfect for easy beach and town access. The bed was comfortable and the place had everything needed for a long weekend trip. The place is nicely decorated, very clean, and the communication was very good. Couldn't have asked for more and will book again if in the area.

Disappointing

The property is in need of considerable updating. It shows its age. The online pictures do not match actual furniture. Also, it was not as clean as it should have been, The bed sheets were either not cleaned or were stained. The floor is some type of cement mixture which was rough and thus impossible to clean. It seemed like a patio surface. The bathroom exhaust fan is caked with black dust and the light was burnt out. Finally, they supplied a Roku television which greatly limits your ability to watch local and national channels without creating a Roku account.

This property is a wonderful place for a couple. The king sized bed is so comfortable. The location is so quiet and felt very safe. We rode our bikes to the beach and walked to dinner. The nearest restaurant is about a half mile away, but it was an easy walk and better yet on a bike. We would definitely book this property again.

Peaceful relaxing area

We thought your king suite was great. Comfortable with just enough space for us and our little dog. Only suggestion I have is a larger mini fridge. We had a fabulous time in the downtown area. Hope to see you again soon.

Great place to stay!

We really enjoyed our stay in The King’s Suite. Very clean, cozy and close in location to downtown Ocean Springs and the beach. Everything is within walking distance. Ocean Springs has a lot of beautiful old historic homes and businesses. Our host Chris was very nice and great with communication. Highly recommend staying here if you visit Ocean Springs.

Quaint and quiet

Really enjoyed the little town of Ocean Springs. The walkability for the location of the cottage was perfect. My only negative to keep me from giving an overall five star rating is that the room was over perfumed with a plug-in scent deodorizer- it was just too overwhelming.

Great last minute trip

We booked last minute to come stay for birth of our granddaughter in Ocean Springs. Chris the host was super helpful in assisting with my booking. Very clean and super comfortable furnishings, met our needs perfectly. We work remotely and WiFi was worked well. Location is perfect. We walked each morning for exercise, stopping at a local bistro for breakfast each day. Will definitely be back!
