Despite whats app messages to owner, Vrbo messages, heard nothing from the listing until 8.40pm the night before we were to arrive and we were cancelled. It was infuriating to be cancelled last minute. Usually one receives check in info 24 hours in advance--which we did not receive. To be cancelled on such short notice is unbelievable. Having to deal with a long trip and try and find new accomodations was not something I had thought I would have to do.

Great location, comfortable apartment.

It was easy to get into the flow of from this location, just a few blocks from the art museum, as well as modes of transportation. There was an elevator, which were very well for us a seniors. And it was only up one floor if we chose to climb the stairs.

Disappointed Travellers

we have to say we were little disappointed is the property. Major difficulty in getting the door open thanks to the neighbour who helped us out. The pictures and description of the apartment are out of date we didn't have a king size bed in the main bedroom. The smell from the waste pipe was overwhelming at times, dishwater still had dirt dishes in it, hand soap and shower gel was nearly empty and finally the beds were horrible one of the beds had mould on it and the other had a cheap mattress cover to hide the torn mattress. When we left I had 3 attempts to contact the own finally received a reply 3 hours later

Perfect location

Exactly where we wanted to be right near the Guggenheim. Very quiet, great sleep but central to everything. Very easy communication and check in. Has an elevator but only on the first floor. Very comfortable space with great windows.

Great Location and Wonderful Stay

This was our first time to Basque Country so we had no idea what to expect. The apartment’s central location within Bilbao afforded easy walking access to everything such as grocery shopping, restaurants and bars, public transportation, entertainment, etc. Our best initial move was to walk to the Tourist Information office where we obtained great information. They also recommend to purpose the Transport pass (Barik card) which we used to travel on all transportation modes to travel within the town and explore surrounding towns The apartment was clean, everything worked, and modestly furnished (not luxurious by North American standards), and comfortable. Communication with the host (whom we did not meet in person) was great and timely.

Wonderful apartment!

Its a really comfortable, modern and convenient (Guggenheim is only a 5min walk away) apartment with lots of natural light. Alex, our host, was very good with any help we needed too. A wonderful experience.

Comfortable, well appointed apartment in an ideal location.

The apartment was easy to find and very close to the airport bus stop, which is a very convenient service. We arrived earlier than we expected so had a drink in the bar next door. Alex sent a message to say were the spare keys were kept, which was a bar across the road so we could get in without any problem. He then came to meet us shortly afterwards and explain the locality, supermarket, good restaurants etc. The apartment is lovely and newly refurbished. We had everything we needed for our stay. Great shower too! The location is ideal to walk to all major attractions and the shopping area. Metro station close by too. Within a short walk there are many great bars and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay and loved Bilbao.

Your getaway in Bilbao - excellent location!

Our property manager, Alex, was an excellent host, and went the extra distance to make us comfortable. For example, we got great recommendations for local restaurants and events from him. The place provided good bedroom and bathroom accommodation for a family of four. Close to the Museum of Fine Arts and the Guggenheim, the location is great. The apartment is also new, and is stocked with the essentials. Highly recommend this listing. This is where I’ll stay next time I’m in Bilbao.
