There are 3 steps in the garden.. The Old Roundhouse is a unique escape in sumptuous accommodation, the perfect holiday retreat in genuine peace and tranquillity. This stunning, spacious, detached barn conversion with original roundhouse enjoys total seclusion within its own large gardens on the edge of the owner’s farm, with no near neighbours. Nestling in this designated AONB, uninterrupted and magnificent views of the surrounding countryside abound and lovely walks can be enjoyed from the property. A 10-minute walk over the owner’s fields and woods leads to Hartland village with shops, three pubs and a lovely coffee shop. Sandy Spekes beach is just over a mile walk. A fabulous, picturesque, hidden treasure, great for rockpooling and surfing. The owners have maintained many original features - exposed internal stone walls, beams and wonderful slate floors with underfloor heating throughout. Everything has been thought of to ensure an incredible holiday to please everyone. The Old Roundhouse is a really special holiday home and a warm welcome awaits with complimentary chilled beer and wine, cream teas, fresh flowers and toiletries - all ingredients for a well earned break. The stunning World Heritage coastline abounds with family activities, from pretty beaches to hidden coves, once the haunt of smugglers. Hartland Abbey is worth a visit, as is the famous Clovelly. 10/10 we had a wonderful stay, the house was beautifully warm, decorated for Christmas with some lovely touches including the beer, wine and milk. I have no hesitation in recommending this gorgeous house.

Stayed for Christmas and it was a lovely quite location, with a short walk across the fields to the picturesque village.Made to feel welcome by the locals had a good local shop with all the amenities, pubs were excellent we ate in the Anchor inn food was fantastic.The house was Beautiful looking the garden was brilliant for our dog, the pictures don’t do the place justice it was so much better.The Christmas decorations just made the whole stay more festive.Would definitely go back there again

Fantastic location

We had a fabulous time staying at the Round House. We loved that you could walk to town. The house was very comfortable. Great nearby restaurants/pubs and things to do. Would absolutely return.

A beautiful well appointed cottage that was just what we needed. The kitchen has plenty of everything making catering easy. The bedrooms are comfy and the large lounge great for gatherings. The games room and hot tub are a great addition to the property. If you are looking for some where off the beaten track a bit this is for you as it’s either a 20 minute walk across fields to the village or a drive down country lanes. The owners were great responding almost immediately to any concerns or queries. Set in a beautiful part of Devon I would definitely return. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

An enjoyable relaxing week in this beautifully renovated cottage. The property is spacious and was lovely and warm, the underfloor heating was a bonus especially with the cold wet week we had! We enjoyed cooking although the kitchen equipment was lacking in some areas eg pan lids to fit all appropriate saucepans, lack of large pans, but overall was relatively well stocked. We used the hot tub on 4 occasions, it was lovely & warm & well positioned even for use on cold days. The walks locally are beautiful especially at Hartland point to the waterfall. The Shamrock chippy in Hartland did fabulous fish & chips & you can telephone ahead with the order. Thanks to Andy & team for a great week! Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

A beautiful house in a stunning rural location. We absolutely loved our holiday but the location was a bit more rural than we thought from the description on the website. However, this didn't spoil our holiday - it was amazing. One thing to note is the drive up to the farm is not very suitable for 'lower' vehicles but if you drive VERY slowly you'll be fine.

The house is absolutely beautiful! It was supplied with literally everything we needed! The bedding was the best I’ve ever slept in and the whole place was furnished beautifully! I can not recommend this house enough, unless you want everything close by? It may seem a little remote to some but that was why we loved it so much! We will be returning!

Excellent cottage with fantastic facilities. This is in a very rural location which has wonderful views and a peaceful feel but comes at the inevitable cost of having some narrow roads and being a bit of a drive to explore the nearby towns. Wonderfully spacious with light airy rooms and the lovely touch of a home baked cake on arrival and some cold drinks in the fridge! All in all I would not hesitate to recommend staying here and as a group we will definitely be rebooking our next stay.

Quiet country location with nearby attractions including Hartland Abbey and Hartland Quay. Members of our group with mobility problems said that a few hard rails in the bathrooms, steps in the garden and into the kitchen would have been helpful. Overall a great property and we all enjoyed the barbecues and hot tub.

We had a lovely time at The Old Round House, with all the comforts especially the hot tub it was difficult at times to go out and explore Devon. Plenty of space for even large groups to enjoy the house and the grounds. Even the dogs enjoyed the size of the enclosed garden.

Gorgeous house with excellent facilities for everyone. Peaceful and surrounded by lovely countryside. The cake, beer, wine and eggs were a fabulous extra. The pool table could do with being looked at as some of the balls were stuck inside and the washing line needs replacing but apart from these small gripes everything was great.

Lovely, lovely house in a rural and secluded setting. The weather was against us but we battled down to Hartland Quay against the prevailing gales and were cosy and warm in the house once we got back and dried off. There were a good range of activities in the barn and in the house to keep the children occupied and the prosecco and beer provided went down well. We were disappointed not to have the cream tea that featured on the website ... maybe next time!
