It’s a conference centre first and foremost and for the ten days we were there there were no conferences so was very very quiet with limited facilities available. "Overall stay was pleasurable. Nice cottage and quiet surrounds. Just a few things- Lucky key box was already open as we weren’t sent a code or check-in details. Cobwebs and dust hanging from windows, ceilings and fan was an eyesore. In the accommodation folder says bacon, eggs and yogurts were supplied for breakfast, no yoghurts, and weren’t expecting Aldi packaged sliced ham instead of bacon and Aldi prima’s. "A gorgeous place to stay. We loved our time at Aquila and felt so relaxed and refreshed being there. The room was clean and cosy, especially with the fire on. The amenities were fantastic and the bottle of bubbly readily enjoyed! We both found the bed to be comfortable and had a real quality night's sleep. Couldn't fault it, thank you for having us! "

The lamp beside the bed was not working, and the bathroom light was hanging out, which was both inconvenient and concerning. We also found that a pill box had been left in a drawer, which suggests the room was not thoroughly checked prior to our arrival. Lots of dust behind the bed was not good for my allergies.
