Authentic Log Cabin Getaway w/Private Hot Tub

Relaxing, quiet vacation experience without sacrificing modern conveniences. This is Cacapon Retreat!

After a day of hiking, gather around the fire pit while listening to the peaceful flow of Indian Run and other sounds of nature or play a few rounds of cornhole, bocce, and horse shoes.

Enjoy the heated, jetted hot tub facing the private, wooded lot.

We are looking forward to hosting a memorable experience for you and waiting for your inquiry to discuss the details.

The kitchen is fully stocked for most of your cooking needs. Relax in the great room in front of the stone fireplace. Bedrooms have cedar log furniture for a rustic cabin experience. Have fun in the game room/loft with plenty of games, puzzles, a karaoke machine, and regulation size foosball table. Work remotely with the convenience of 300 Mbps Internet.

For your safety and ours, we have one camera facing the front yard, one in back covering the entrance to the deck, and one facing the basement door. All cameras record motion.

Dog Friendly Property- up to TWO dogs permitted, additional pet fee of $50 plus taxes. WE DO NOT ALLOW CATS. Guests must keep dogs on leash in the community and pick up dog waste.

Free early check-in and late check out when possible, please inquire.

Beautiful Cabin/Great Host!

This is a beautiful property adjacent to Cacapon State Park. Very clean and well kept with great starter amenities.The host is super friendly and a great communicator.I highly recommend this property!

Relaxing and peaceful!

The overall impression of this property is outstanding!The beds were comfortable! The layout is great. We used the hot tub several times with no difficulties. On chilly mornings we had the gas fireplace to keep us warm and cozy. The area behind the cottage has walking trails down by the stream..very nice.

Relaxation Perfection

This is a fabulous place to stay. Everything is clean and very well maintained. It has everything you need! It's beautiful and the setting is quiet and peaceful. There are special touches everywhere. We had a slight issue at check-in, but Paul was easy to contact and he fixed it immediately. I would definitely stay again!

Rustic luxury!

Our family including our dog had a wonderful stay at the Cacapon Retreat! When entering the lovely private neighborhood you never expect to pull up to this authentic cabin and it’s literally the most beautiful cabin in the best location! It was so welcoming as our winter recharge destination after the hectic holidays. It was immaculately clean, comfortable, spacious and cozy! We snuggled by the fire, enjoyed the hot tub while star gazing, played board games, explored the forest and creek area right behind the home, and spent a day at Cacapon State Park hiking the mountain too. We did all this and more in just a 2 night stay because of its great location which is right across the street from the park and also very close to anything you need. We even spent the last day out in Berkeley Sorings antiquing and exploring the springs. The hast is very responsive to messages and very accommodating even in our last minute booking and late check out request. The cabin was stocked with all we needed, decorated beautifully for the holidays and extremely comfortable. Thank you for hosting us!

After Christmas Family Vacation at the Capacon Retreat

Our family had an unforgettable post-Christmas getaway at a stunning log cabin in Berkeley Springs, Virginia. The cabin itself was absolutely beautiful—cozy, spacious, and thoughtfully designed to make every moment feel special. From the moment we booked, the host’s incredible communication set the tone for an excellent experience. He provided clear, timely updates and helpful details both before and after our trip, making everything seamless.We spent our days relaxing and enjoying the picturesque surroundings. The views from the cabin were breathtaking, and we loved exploring the nature trails and the creek just behind the house. While we didn’t get a chance to visit the nearby state park this time, it’s on our list for the next trip out to Capacon Retreat.This cabin is perfect for families looking to unwind and reconnect in a peaceful, scenic setting. We’re already planning our return and would highly recommend this retreat to anyone in search of a serene, memorable escape. It’s truly a gem!

Wonderful cabin!

Our small family celebrated Thanksgiving here. The house was perfect. Super clean, comfy beds, well-stocked kitchen. We enjoyed the hot tub and walked through the beautiful woods along the stream behind the house. Paul, the owner was a great communicator. Five stars!!

Great mountain getaway

Great place to get away for a few days. Super clean. Beautiful view and a great little creek back behind it. Excellent kitchen, well-stocked and in the center of things. It would have been so much better if the fireplace was not broken. The big beautiful stone hearth was the main reason we got the place and it seemed so cold and dark without a fire and made being inside at night a little depressing. But if they get that fixed, we’ll definitely go back. It was a great location and a great cabin.

Great Cabin

The cabin was perfect for a family getaway. It was clean and had everything we needed for a weekend in the woods. The details matter, and they didn't miss. Close enough to have access to amenities, but far enough to stargaze without light pollution. Would recommend.

This home was perfect. The back deck called for that morning coffee and evening glass of wine. The kitchen had every thing we needed to prepare meals. If you’re able to attend the Apple Butter Festival, go for it! Berkeley Springs is a fun little town!

Lovely Getaway

What a great house for a girls getaway! We spent a lot of time on the back deck relaxing and reading, and really enjoyed the ambiance of the neighborhood and nearby Berkley Springs. With a spacious living room and kitchen, and cozy outdoor areas, we would definitely return.

Gorgeous Home

This home is so beautiful and immaculately clean. Beds were super comfortable. This house is ideal for 2 families and there are more sleeping areas upstairs outside of master bedroom (there are two couch/futons that become double beds). Hot tub was clean and private. In the backyard, there is a fun creek and exploring area. My son did a little fishing in the creek. The house is in a quiet neighborhood, tucked away at the end of a cul-de-sac. Paul, the owner, is incredibly accommodating and helpful. Overall, a really nice place to stay and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Located in walking distance to an amazing state park with two swimming lakes with beaches, a hotel, multiple restaurants, lots of hiking paths, horseback riding, golf course, beautiful vista on the top of the mountain, and the list goes on. This park could easily be the only destination for many days - it offered so much to do! But then, there is a lot of fun to be had in Berkeley Springs, as well. Guess what? The fried chicken at the nearby Exxon station (about one mile) was incredibly delicious. So unexpected.

Beautiful house across Cacapon Park

Location: Nice, clean, neighborhood/community of many houses across Cacapon State Park. The house is at the end of the street in a cul de sac. There is a neighbor close to the right-side house, but the back of the house faces the woods. The clean hot tub is at ground level & surrounded by woods so has some degree of privacy. Outdoors is very clean, well maintained, including the grill in the deck. Indoors is also very clean, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable furniture, clean furnishings. This property is excellent as described above but we prefer a more secluded setting away from neighbors. The houses are quite close to each other, and you can hear dogs barking, people activities.

Wonderful dog friendly cabin

Our family of five thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely rental right next to Cacapon State Park. The home included everything we could need for our stay. The owners are also very dog friendly and included many nice touches to help your furry family member feel at home. The location was perfect- quiet neighborhood but only a few minutes from the park and a short 15 minute drive into Berkeley Springs. We enjoyed the grill, hot tub, and all the games. We’d definitely return if we are back in the area.

Perfect Hub For Visiting Family In Virginia

Taking family to visit father and family in Virginia. Beautiful cabin provided great perfect environment for family to congregate to spend time together. Granddaughters loved the location and walking in the woods and stream nearby. Perfect cabin and great value. Was for sure the right choice.
