The location of this property is great. Secluded, peaceful, and surrounded by countryside, yet just a 10 minute drive into Bergerac, and only 20 minutes to the airport. The 4 of us used three of the 4 bedrooms (each with a double bed) but it would comfortably sleep 2 couples with 2 young each. Lots of space downstairs with a choice of large tables to eat at. A well equipped kitchen with large US style fridge/freezer and a big cooker. Large TV room with access to Netflix, Amazon Prime etc. Huge outdoor space with the pool at the top of the gardens, table to eat at and BBQ, large chess, and table tennis. We made us of the latter two a lot, but it wasn't ideal weather for the pool! Check in process was smooth with Fabienne living next door. She welcomed us and showed us around, giving us lovely fruit and veg from her garden and was available via text to answer any queries we had during our 9 night stay. Check out was also easy - and we weren't rushed to leave early!

Coup de coeur

Nous avons passé 15 jours merveilleux dans ce gîte niché dans la campagne bergeracoise, au sein d’un grand domaine arboré (verger, forêt, pré), avec une belle piscine en pleine nature. Silence et tranquillité absolus, extérieurs bien pensés (mobilier de jardin, barbecue). Le gîte est vaste, impeccablement propre, meublé avec goût, tout confort, beaucoup de charme.. Et surtout la propriétaire, discrète mais attentive au confort des vacanciers, est chaleureuse et sympathique. Nous reviendrons certainement !

A lovely spot for a relaxing break

We had a relaxing and enjoyable time at Fabienne’s home. There was plenty to occupy us - the pool ( when the sun broke through), giant chess and ping pong. Bergerac is a short journey by car - a more arduous walk or cycle as 5he area is hilly. The house is charming, spacious and very comfortable- ideal for a group of family or friends. The kitchen is large and well equipped and we prepared some great meals to cook on the bbq with local products from the market. Fabienne was helpful and accommodating and we especially enjoyed feeding apples to her lovely horses.

Rien à dire sur l'accueil de Fabienne la propriétaire, charmante, disponible et à l'écoute. L'endroit est calme, spacieux et proche de tout. Seul bémol au séjour, la piscine de l'annonce hors service alors que nous nous faisions une joie de pouvoir en profiter avec ce beau soleil enfin revenu, surtout une fillette de 10 ans à qui nous l'avions annoncée. Nous l'avons su qu'en arrivant et aurions préféré être prévenus au préalable, et la tonte des espaces verts non réalisée avant notre arrivée... ce qui justifie de ne pas avoir la note de 5/5 car sinon tout le reste était top.

Excellent retreat for a reunion

6 friends who haven’t seen each other for 7 years from our Middle East days got together for a long overdue reunion. We came from Spain, England and Australia. A great setting, views, spacious, fully equipped and our host Fabienne was a wonderful one. Hope to visit again.

50 Years of friendship.

A warm and welcoming host sharing a lovely comfortable property in a beautiful, peaceful location. We are a party of 6 adults sharing 50 years of friendship since first meeting at University. The property is spacious, very well-equipped and extremely comfortable. We were 6 but the property would easily cater for a party of 8. There is plenty of outside space with a barbeque, a variety of games and equipment as well as a well-kept swimming pool. On arrival the property was spotlessly clean with every need catered for. Fabienne is a warm, friendly host.

Beautiful house in lovely area

The house was beautiful. Welk equiped kitchen. All items we ever needed were available. Good beds. Communication with owner Fabienne was very good. We were with 2 families and had plenty of room. Swimming pool was fantastic and acces was safe for the 2 Year old. We loved everything about the house.

Great experience

We spent great days in a very nice house with lots of atmosphere in a dream landscape. The view into the valley, the absolute tranquility and peacefulness of this hilly landscape of the Perigord are the best conditions for a successful vacation. After a hot day, the large and wonderfully located pool was a welcome refreshment. Our hostess Fabienne welcomed us very warmly and introduced us to the property with its long history. She was always available for our questions. For their further plans in the expansion we wish much success. We will be very happy to recommend the house and its hostess.

2023 holiday

We had a lovely time staying here. We visited lots of places and Bergerac is just a short drive away with plenty of restaurants and bars. The house is set in beautiful countryside and we saw deer in the field below and even had a baby rabbit in the garden. The house is very grand and spacious and contains everything you need for a family holiday. We really enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful house and surroundings

We had a lovely stay in Fabienne's home during a very hot week in Bergerac. She was a super host, always ready to help and give advice on the local area. The accommodation was very spacious both inside and out with the pool being an enormous advantage especially during this very hot week. I would highly recommend this gite, thank you Fabienne.

Sfeervol huis in prachtige groene omgeving

Domaine d'anthesia is een mooi gelegen in het groene achterland van Bergerac. Het huis heeft veel sfeer, een uitgebreide keuken, grote leefruimtes, en prima slaapkamers. Hier en daar zijn wat herstelwerkzaamheden nodig. Het zwembad is heerlijk en de omgeving prachtig!

Un espace de bonheur

Une vaste maison de caractère, lumineuse ,élégante, très bien équipée où les vacances passent hélas trop vite ! Un grand parc, de nombreux jeux pour enfants et adultes, une belle, grande et chaude piscine. Une région riche en ressources culturelles et culinaires . Truly wonderful stay at this lovely gite. Spotlessly clean. Fully equipped kitchen. The pool and outdoor areas are all fantastic places to be, peaceful, wonderful birdsong, great views. Fabienne was on hand whenever to offer help and guidance. Would thoroughly recommend this place. Photos do not do it justice
