"Did not like room as to small for a double and very noisy as room facing road , also very hot , bathroom had no ventilation .breakfast was half cooked as they were very busy so overall would not stay again in this hotel"

"Only two staff trying to run hotel. Had to wait for a table then service, even though the restaurant only had a couple of people in it. As the girl couldn’t run everything, not her fault. Food was terrible and dry with brown coleslaw. The hotel didn’t seem that busy considering it was Easter weekend. Had the same problem I at the other Premiere Inn hotel in Exeter last year."

"Nice stay, second time at this hotel. Room a little tired but it adds to the character. Staff were lovely. For breakfast the selection of fresh fruits and Jams were excellent, however the hot foot was topped in no particular order and a bit of waiting around for the full selection to be available."

"All of the staff are so friendly and welcoming. This is the third time we have stayed at the , " Duke of York". The rooms are always clean and well supplied and wonderfully quirky. The food is exquisite, good suppliers and a talented chef make any meal you order an absolute delight. The choice of beers and ciders definately hit the spot and are excellently kept. We will, without question, be looking to return for more stays regardless of the season because any time of year is great here."

"Stayed one night for music event nearby. Location perfect for walking into city centre & train station. Very clean, food good, beds super comfy. Kettle, tea, coffee & towels all available to use in our room. Staff very friendly & attentive. Parking at rear was FOC - nice perk! Very quiet at night - our room was at rear. After returning from our gig on a cold wet April night, it was so so nice to open the front door and the central heating had been put on. 😊"

"The Moorland Hotel is fabulous. We would definitely recommend it and when we visit the area again we will stay here without hesitation. The food was excellent and the staff were welcoming. Although we didn't take a dog we saw some in the hotel and they were well catered for with a wash station outside (for after a long walk), plenty of water bowls, treats, spare leads, harness and blankets etc. All in all, at the end of our stay we felt rested and relaxed. You can't ask for much more than that."

"Worst stay I have ever had. The first morning at breakfast the plates were so dirty it put us off eating. We literally went through the whole pile and could not find any clean ones. Didn't bother going to breakfast the 2nd morning. There was an odd smell on the first day when we walked into room but it was stifling hot so put the air conditioning on and left it at that. However the next evening when we returned to the room we walked in and there was a clear smell of drugs in the room which...

"Would not describe the as a Hotel,no human check in ,room and hotel nothing like the websire, breakfast and bar ,restaurant were an option when we booked but was later ammended Except breakfast still advertised that morning but wasn't available, No public area to sit,no bar open even though they advertised beer garden ,very dull place,we stayed 20 mins then left ,will be contacting hotel for refund "

"Unfortunately the hotel had some problems in the kitchen which impacted very badly on the menu for dinner, the breakfast, service (so slow) and noise. It would have been better to fix the problems before reopening or to have had the courtesy to let us know in advance what the situation was. I would have stayed somewhere else. Extremely disappointing as I’ve had lovely stays here in the past. "
