A Comfy Cozy Cottage on Clowney

9.6 de 10, Excepcional, (140 opinions)
"The Clowney Street Cottage "grew on us." The upstairs was comfortable and we liked the decor. There were some quirks with the lighting, stairs, lots of floor creaks, and miscellaneous needs such as newer washcloths and towels. The kitchen and bedrooms are on the second floor, which was not in the listing and could cause some accessibility issues for guests. The property is an old carriage house with up-to-date kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms, and was overall charming, safe and comfortable for our...

"You can't find a better location if you want to be in the heart of downtown Galena for a reasonable price. The air conditioning is a window unit in the front room, but the host provides plenty of fans. There are two bedrooms, but the first has cut-outs in the upper walls, and the second doesn't have a door right now, so privacy is limited. The living/dining area is very spacious and comfortable."

"A very nice condo. Beautiful views and very quiet. I feel like the water pressure could have been better in the upstairs bathroom. The couch in the living room is great if you want to climb in and get cozy, but it would have been nice to have a regular couch that you could just sit on. As someone with mobility and back issues it was hard to always have to climb into the couch and not to have a good regular comfortable space to sit on. The place was clean and offered many clean accessories to...

"The facade of the house belies the fact that it is enormous inside, with commodious bedrooms and baths, a lodge-like living room with a stony fireplace, a big kitchen well stocked with appliances and all necessary dinner, table and glassware. And there's a big deck that can seat a dozen with a large grill. The downstairs is devoted to fun, with pool, pingpong, another viewing room and access to the hot tub and yard with firepit. "We weren't informed that a tree fell on the upper deck and tore off all the railings making the deck unusable, this is where we planned cooking on the grill and relaxing days and nights, we had to carry food down 12 steps and across the building length to cook on a very cheap grill with a small surface, I'm 73 yrs old so the steps I didn't appreciate. If we were informed of the damage we would have booked elsewhere. Description was misleading to me as I thought there was a pool at the property...
