"ADORABLE cabin with all the right touches! Comfy bed and sofa, updated bathroom, well-stocked kitchen. But who's spending time inside with such an amazing view from the deck?! One of the best around the whole lake! Trail to the shore is steep, as advertised, but worth it to take the canoe out on the lake. Our host was so accommodating, gave us a great hike recommendation and answered texts ASAP with questions about the amenities. Hate to suggest you stay here, because I want to keep it all for...

"4th time in this beautiful cabin and it still NEVER GETS OLD! Well stocked and very comfortable. Love all the beauty and wildlife right in front of the cabin. Dear, Wild Turkeys, Chipmunks, Squirrels, and Blue Jays. The fishing at Vallecito is always fun. And love sightseeing in Durango and Silverton. Our dog loves it as well. Thanks again for a wonderful Shannon. "

"Great location - beautiful view of the lake. Decorated beautifully - very nautical and cozy. Needs some love and care. Great to have grill but only 2 burners on it worked - which was okay. Couldn’t open a couple of windows due to screen torn and no screen on others but it was cool enough. Entry gate to the house needs fixing - wood rot but easily fixable - but made entry and departure a tad challenging. Would definitely rent again! "

"The deck outside was really nice and our favorite place to relax! Access to the lake was good but very steep. It was awesome to hang out there and cool off in the water. The stairs going to second are two feet wide. Very narrow. Couldn’t use the grill because of fire restrictions in the area. Owner communicated very well with us. Beds were comfortable and couch was large and comfy too :). "

"We had an excellent stay at Whispering Pines. The host greated us for the walk through and was very accessable for small questions and/or directions throughout the stay. The house was beautiful and fully supplied with quality items in the kitchen, linens, towels, beds etc. All great! The air matresses we all not usable, so that created issues, but we made due with couch/floor sleepers...The attention to detail in the house is great and very inviting. Just a fun space!Wild deer every morning...

"The keyless access is so easy and convenient. The owner/management has thought of everything, except the sheets and pillows. The pristine condition of the accommodation lead me to expect cotton sheets and down pillows. Otherwise, everything was great. "

I put this more on Expedia than the property itself however as I assume this is Expedia not passing along pertinent details. Within the building there were multiple coded doors. We just kept trying the code until we found a door it worked on. Downtown is under major construction so that might kill the vibe for some people, but we thoroughly enjoyed our...

"So clean. Easy access to anywhere on Durango. Loft bedroom never got to cool, but other than that, a great place to stay. Thanks!!"

"Our host Jake was amazing. The house was perfect everything was just as it was in the pics. Check in and check out was a breeze. The kitchen had everything you needed and more. Will definitely stay again if we get back that way."

"We really enjoyed our stay! Check-in went smooth and was pretty easy to find even in the dark as we arrived pretty late! Beds were comfortable and everything was clean. The pool/hot tub was awesome and all the mountain activities were a blast. We will definitely be back. Thank you! "
