"Staff were not very friendly. We had a somewhat late check in (10:30pm) and were informed the pool was closed for the night. The next morning we slept in a little bit (9:00 am) and I figured I’d see if we could do a noon checkout, they told me it would be 1/2 of whatever their nightly rate was ($60 give or take for an extra hour?!). The hotel is old, run down, the carpet is badly stained everywhere you look. Unfortunately not my best experience…"

"The rooms are clean. Wooden floors felt cleaner than old carpet. Only problem was there was no internet service during our stay. Inquired at the front desk however the young gentleman didn’t seem to know what to do or who to call."

"We booked for 2 nights through Expedia and Expedia only sent our booking for one night. The fellow who was at the front desk was so kind and helpful. We had to pay the hotel for the second night and deal with Expedia. It took 3 days and many conversations with rude and unreasonable men from Expedia. The hotel was wonderful and I recommend not to use Expedia."

"Hotel needs a lot of modernization. Bath was strained brown, there was some kind of mold or something behind the toilet bowl. Breakfast was not good. Tiny muffins with no description. People screaming at each other at about 1 am!! And someone running up and down the hallway. This is not as promised In the brochure. I was embarrassed as I had booked a friend a room on our journey back home and this was the place I booked. Wish I could get a refund."

"We liked: location, historic building, interesting art on the walls, breakfast, free garage parking, etc. Local food options around the area were excellent too. And it is so nice to be in an authentically original hotel compared to chain hotels that seem to be MBA’ed into being all the same."

"There was no refrigerator or microwave in are room. Plus I stayed because of water slide and pool, but water slide was not open the front desk said they were waiting on part to fix it. If I was offered some kind of refund I would not be pissed because that’s why we choose this hotel. My grandkids were very disappointed."

"The price of the property was good as well as the location, but the cleanliness know I found a hair on what was supposed to be a clean towel… The door was very difficult to enter every time and there was no icemaker on any floors. The guest was responsible for filling the ice cube trays which were not filled upon coming into the room. I would not recommend this hotel."
