St Mary's church - porch and tower. St Mary's church has a late medieval tower and a Saxon doorway; the chancel dates from the late 13th century as is evidenced by the angle piscina > 831132 which is still in place. The interior was, however, extensively restored in the 19th century; medieval survivals are the C15 font, carved with arms of the Valoines family > 831134 and the original roof > 831127 - dating from the same time. The rooms are always very clean. I've stayed here numerous times, and the cleanliness is always very good. The front-of-house staff are very welcoming and helpful, the beds are comfortable, and overall, it's a nice experience.

Staff very polite and helpful. Accommodation was lovely, just right for 2 adults. However, I’m glad we visited in February as the front door/terrace where there are chairs and table for outdoor use, literally faced a 6ft wall, so definitely no sun even in summer months.
